I was watching the Clips/Utah game and Lawler kept saying bye to KTLA, so I guess we lost the coverage for next year.

The only other broadcast option is UPN, but it looks like we're going to be short on televised games next year.

I'm very disappointed to see this, as KTLA HD was a great feature, but with our record going down, so have ratings, I suppose.

And I doubt that Prime Ticket will pick up all of the games.

Not as big as I had thought, but still movement.

The Los Angeles Clippers today acquired center Cheikh Samb and cash considerations from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for a future conditional second draft pick.

A 7-foot-1-inch center from Senegal, Samb has played in six games with the Nuggets this season, averaging 0.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 4.0 minutes. Samb came to Denver on Nov. 3 along with Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess in exchange for Allen Iverson. Samb was assigned to the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League on Dec. 10 and has averaged 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.8 blocks in 10 games with the 14ers.

Originally drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 51st overall selection in the 2006 NBA Draft, Samb, was traded to Detroit and started his career with the Pistons, appearing in four games and averaging 1.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game in 2007-08 while also playing in 19 games for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League.

http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/56399/20090105/clippers_acquire _samb_from_nuggets/

The Los Angeles Clippers today signed free agent shooting guard Fred Jones. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

A six-year NBA veteran, Jones played 70 games with the Knicks last season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25.1 minutes. The Clippers will be the fifth NBA team for Jones, who has appeared in 378 total games and is averaging 7.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his NBA career.

Fred Jones won the 2004 NBA All-Star Slam-Dunk Contest.

What a day. I almost dropped my phone when I heard that Randolph was coming to LA.

The Clippers cannot have

Kaman, Camby, and Randolph on the team. They are weak at guard and improved a position that they simply did not need any help at. I smell a trade, soon. Camby or Kaman, I think, may be traded. But to where? And for who?

What is the second plan here? The trades are far from over.

Clippers Acquire Steve Novak

The Rockets expect to trim their roster and their bloated collection of forwards on Wednesday by dealing Steve Novak to the Los Angeles Clippers, an individual with knowledge of the deal said Tuesday.
The Rockets will receive future draft considerations, likely the right to switch places with the Clippers in a second round. It is unclear which season that would be because both teams have future second round commitments.
The Rockets selected Novak, 25, in the second round of the 2006 season. A 6-10 forward, Novak averaged 2.7 points in 70 NBA games, making 44.1 percent of his shots and 42.7 percent of his 3-pointers.
The highlight of his two seasons with the Rockets was likely the buzzer-beating 3-pointer he made to defeat the Kings during the Rockets’ 22-game winning streak last season.

hehe. Im making it sound really "confidential" and "spy-like", but my friend's Clippers' representative has said that they are pursuing Ricky Davis and Bonzi Wells.

This is odd, but would suit the team well.

What do you guys think?

I mean WElls has always seemed to be a rumored Clipper incomer and Ricky Davis is a great player. I'd love to see these guys on our team..but wouldn't a trade be necessary to do this? The Rep. also said we have "money that we're willing to spend"

This is information from my Clippers' source: The Los Angeles Clippers are eagerly pursuing Bonzi Wells and Ricky Davis. This is odd to me, but I feel that it'd be great for the team. We'd have to trade for these two, wouldn't we? Please leave thoughts, and opinions. Not sure where this money is from unelss Sterling wants to go into the luxury tax zone. He also said from the point of Baron's signing to EB's departure, ticket sales sky rocketed and they nearly have a record of season ticket holders....note: BEFORE EB's departure. They also said that we would have a lot more fun this season. Just wanted to share! Bye

Let's think about this a little bit. In 2010, Mobley, Thomas, Hart, and Camby's contract's expire. If we let them all go, we could have about 22-26 million in the bank of free cap space. In 2010, agents like LeBron (probably New york), Wade, Stoudemire, Dirk N. , and Bosh will all be available. We could do something amazing in 2010 if we renounce these players.

Wow, the Warriors must be really seeking revenge. Reports from the LATimes have announced that the Warriors have now offered Elton 100 million dollars for 5 years; thats 30 more than we can and will offer him. This is disturbing because Elton has not announced his support to the CLippers yet, meaning that he is second guessing his decision. this could be disappointing altho we could get maggette if we didnt take brand. But Brand is so much bbetter than Maggettee. This could get ugly.

Sorry about that. I was on another Clips forum and I saw the story, but it turns out the guy wasn’t accurate. My apologies, but the deal worth 100 million is true according to the sources. Brand has not released comments or taken a position.
