I'd like to wish each and EVERY ONE of you the happiest of Holidays. I also have special holiday wishes for those who are having difficulties. Whipsmart I hope you're alright. I miss your Whipicisms, give us the heads up if you see this. Ivysafety39 good luck on the job search and anyone else who's having a rough moment. I'd like to know what everyone is doing for the holidays and also your street address and the time that dinner is served. My "inside sources" were able to give me some tidbits of information on the following lovely LSBers....

I've heard that Christmas at The Coffin Househould is just glorious. A feast fit for a king or queen (depending on which way you roll) After the amazing festivities dictionaries are passed out and then Ed gives a speech.

Rodney hang in there I know the holidays in the provinces can be a drag, looking at your watch every five minutes won't help matters. There's always snipe hunting. Get that snipe Rodney!!! At least you're in the company of loving family, you'll be back in civilization before you know it.

AGreen07 are you spending the holidays in the Apple? If so remind me to slap you later, (j/k Greenie) Christmas in NYC is the BEST, I'm sooo jealous. There's nothing like a delicious dinner at The Sea Grill overlooking the Rock Center Ice rink and the huge xmas tree followed up by watching the Rockettes, those babes that are ALL LEGS.

MILES are you back in the HP yet? I hope you behaved on the flight! For future reference if someone decides to use your lap as a headrest reel off some fake sneezes and mumble under your breath how bad the flu is this year. I guaran-damn-tee that seat back will go up faster than it came back. Will Mr. Santos and Juan be at Dinner or at the disco having a bear?

What is that beastly Brett Gardner doing? I bet he's not leaving Dallas, he hates missing his Mensa meetings.

I'm not doing anything too exciting myself. I know one thing is certain... I'll be pigging out. I'm letting myself go, just imagine CC Sabathia at the buffet table. I'm stopping once I put on 43 lbs. of blubber because I know that I can just slather on some of that flab to fab shit LSB used to advertise. In a relatively short amount of time I'll wake up one day and be a skinny, black straight dude. It will be a dream come true! Happy Holidays to ALL :)

Well ghosts and goblins it's that time of year again.

We're Ranger fans so we know about being tricked all too well, what makes the 37 years of trickery palatable is the treats that arrive come 2010 and beyond.

So let's see some cool costumes. Rodney did you ever break out with yours from the party the other night? I won't be dressing up this year so I need some live through someone else vicariously fodder.

1st annual GDT graphics awards

Well folks it's finally over. There won't be anymore going to bed pissed off, throwing shit at the tv, crying, watching Matt Harrison cry, heavy drinking, or yelling "Wash you are a moron!" or any of the other lovely things that go along with being a Rangers fan ....at least until April. Now that your nerve endings have begun to heal we must commend those who put in the extra effort to make the GDT's a more enjoyable place to hang. IMHO I could not help but notice the fine work of the following individuals...the "graphics masters" who shocked and awed us with image brillance from game 1 on ...

Rangers 85- He may be the most talented in the graphics department..he wowed us with such classics as ..my personal favorite, "Gerald with ice cream scoop", "Sick that base Kinsler" and I believe the first "Electrician walk off win pic" The "Obama, Biden, Hillary, and Michelle in convertible" was right up there too.

ghtd36- Mr.Greg kept us all amused for some time with his treasure trove of deliteful animations. He won't tell you where he got them though.. he'll just mumble something about "secret sources" a la Miles and walk away.

Baseballismyboyfriend- Baseball's girlfriend may win the award for the image that is most likely to cause projectile vomiting. Her "Gerald Laird semi semi clad" certainly was attention grabbing.

TxStCa- That boy can throw some graphics down with the best of them. It takes a Bobcat!!

DShep- A graphics legend. His photoshop expertise is second to none. Father Turtle has done things to turtles that would have PETA rasing an eyebrow.

Gossamer- He had some real doozies too.. including the "Am I not turtle enough" graphic.

Shroomer-He threw down some top notch stuff..was the "Gerald diving into bowl of ice cream" his?...if so that's in the running for best graphic of the year.

Inkara- Inky "captured" the first rally cat ...you know the one that ran onto the field. Of course he had a bunch of other lovely stuff too but that one sticks out most.

Whipsmart- His graphics were quite cutting edge and as original as they come.

Rodney- Rodney came on real strong towards the end. He got so into his work that at one point he was using his images as a way of self-expression. There was chatter as to whether he had become a deaf mute. The "drama queen" was one of my personal favorites.

LSJ- Baseball Jesus threw down a lot of quatlity stuff. Some of his work has to be in the running for graphic of the year. Jonny you had soooo many images you're going to have to re-fresh our memories with your best work.

PRIZE: Banquet chicken dinner with peas and reconstituted potatoes to be sent to the winner - parcel post. You'll have to wait\ until Kroger has a sale on them. Just scrape off the mold and nuke it for 10 minutes you'll be fine!!

These are just some of my favorite graphics/graphics posters, sorry if I missed any uber-talented posters. Well folks kindly re-fresh our memories with your images that were used through-out the season in the GDT so that we can decide which images were our favorites.

OT: New York Governor Spitzer involved in prostitution ring.

It has been reported by the New York Times that New York Governor Elliot Sptizer has been involved in a prostitution ring. Wow now that's big news especially for New Yorkers. How on earth did a Governor get involved in that? He has told his top officials that it is true, he's a married man with children and has even gone so far as to go after prostitution rings previously as attorney general.

OT: Did Brett Favre cry too much?

When he announced his retirement last week, Brett Favre broke down in tears. This has a ridiculous blond from Fox (Laura Ingraham) questioning him.

Said Ingraham "Even these big hulky, strong impressive men today are in a situation where they break down blubbering for like 20 minutes at a retirement news conference. And women overwhelmingly calling into my show, "we really like Brett Favre but enough with the waterworks, I mean the sobs they never stopped." she is running a poll on her website asking "Did Brett Favre embarass himself by crying at his press conference?"

Personally I thought it was endearing. He was with the Packers all those years. They were like family to him and they meant a lot to him. Who cares if he gets emotional at a news conference. It makes him no less of a man IMO. What say you?

OT : The Monte Carlo in Vegas is engulfed in flames..

The hotel Monte Carlo is engulfed in flames starting at the uppermost floors. It's not looking good at the moment. Given that the bldg is 34 stories I hope id doesn't come tumbling down like one of the twin towers. So far no word if anyone has been hurt yet. I'm going to Vegas on Tuesday I hope the bldg is still standing then.

OT: WBC to picket Heath Ledgers funeral.

The Westboro Baptist Church notorious for picketing funerals of high profile people, gay murder victims and fallen soldiers to spread its message that the war in Iraq is God's judgement for pro-gay attitudes posted a press release to its website godhatesfags.com

OK this is what I refer to as religious nut jobs.
Spreading hate in the name of God. Of course this is only a minute fraction of those religious. But can you believe such venom over the death of this highly talented actor?

Clemens attempts to clear his name.

So now 2 weeks after the Mitchell Report Roger Clemens is finally speaking out on his steroid accusations. To prove that he's innocent he will be drilled by Mike Wallace of 60 Minutes in the coming weeks. If I were Roger Clemens and wanted to put these so called rumors to rest I'd of been strapped up to that polygraph about 2 weeks ago.
End of story!
It will be interesting to see what his answer will be if Mike Wallace brings up taking a polygraph. That will be the moment of truth. So if he were to say no to the polygraph or not pass it should be be allowed into the hall of fame? I say strap all the probable violators up.. guys like Bonds, Clemens, Sosa etc.. If they pass then hall of fame consideration if not then hall of shame.
