Eric Nadel Out with Torn Retina - Per EG

Here is the story from Grant.

http://insidecorner.dmagazine.com/index.php/2009/06/04/eric-nadel-out-with-torn-retina/#respond

Rangers radio broadcaster Eric Nadel will be out of action for an indefinite period of time with a torn retina. He is currently in surgery in New York and will return to Texas after the surgery, but will have to be basically immobilized while the surgical area heals.

He is requesting people leave their well wishes in his comments, but I thought that this would be a good place as well. It is going to be weird not hearing him call the games.

Here is to hoping that he has a speedy recovery and is back in the booth shortly.

4:09: Josh Hamilton going on the DL with an abdominal strain that may or may not be a sports hernia. Rangers will wait a week or two before making a determination if he will have surgery. At present, the most accurate projection is he could be out two weeks or two months. Will link to full story when available.

PER EG - No Hamilton Tonight Again

Here is the lineup for the Rangers tonight.

2B Ian Kinsler, LF David Murphy, 3B Michael Young, DH Hank Blalock (1 HR vs. Verlander), CF Marlon Byrd, RF Nelson Cruz, 1B Chris Davis, C Taylor Teagarden, SS Elvis Andrus and pitching for the Rangers. … LHP Matt Harrison.

This is a little troubling since he was hitting during Francisco's simulated game earlier today.

Here is the link to EG's lineup.

What's the over under on Ranger K's tonight - <strike>say 9</strike>.

Per Rodney's comment maybe the O/U should be 12.5 instead of 9.

Since he is a fan favorite on this board, I just wanted to share that Brian Collins has landed a sports casting gig in Waco. So there is hope for all of us!!!!!

BTW, here is the most uncomfortable sports cast in history if you have missed it before.
