I have had this unofficial title since last season, I'm not really attached to it, but I had figured no one else enjoyed many finer beverages than PBR or Blue Moon, or whatever. Not really a judgement, just an assumption I guess.

So why shouldn't I be LGT's Resident Beer Connaisseur? Or better yet, why should you be?

Take this as a chance to enlighten me with your beer knowledge as I took all of you for swill drinkin' baseball folks.

Once we are done doing that, we can talk about homebrewing and beer. Maybe I can make some recommendations to you guys.

Here you guys go. Delete this when you get to it Jay. I didn't want computers to explode. Here you guys go.

UPDATE: That's okay, I don't need to delete it, it seems to be doing just fine. Not used to this character limit, though. I'm telling you, there's not much dignity in it.

So anyway ... stay the course ... a thousand points of light ... stay the course.

Still wants three more words. Damn it!

Have you guys seen this?

DETROIT -- There was a reason White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski spent mornings at his locker in spring training playing with his
Nintendo DS. And, no, it wasn't training to beat self-proclaimed team
''Madden '08'' champion Matt Thornton. Pierzynski has been
working with a vision-training game on his
handheld device with the hope of improving his ability to pick up the
baseball. So far, the reviews are good: two home runs, a .529 batting
average and a team-high seven RBI through four games. ''With his
hand-eye coordination and ability to hit the ball the other way, he
should be a big RBI guy,'' teammate Paul Konerko said. Like many of the Sox hitters last season, Pierzynski's approach at
the plate went from a good plan to trying to do too much to ''When's
the season over?'' Not this year. ''When I'm good, it's when I'm hitting the ball left field to right
field,'' Pierzynski said. ''It's something we worked on in spring
training. And it's not really even left field as much as trying to stay
up the middle, shoot the ball to center, go from there and let the
pitch dictate where the ball goes. I'm off to a good start, and
hopefully I can keep it up.'

Can we get Pronk a DS?

For some reason I thought he was going to make the cut, but was I alone? Hasn't he performed much better than Carrol this spring? Unless it is about the money and the difference between the two contracts. Not sure if anyone else is surprised by this as well.
