Good morning everyone.  Apparently people think that ANS is annoying, because he pulled out the victory in the Bloody Elbow Memorial Award for Most Annoying Poster.  Oh well, at least you got a win ANS.

Next up is The MMABrainiac Award - Most Knowledgeable Poster.  The nominees are NNR, AintNoSunshine, and ULF Murphy.  Pretty good group of posters, and this one could be close. 

In an effort to reach the 75 word mark, I just wanted to remind everyone that Lyoto Machida will be Jon Jones 4th top 10 opponent this year.  Love him or hate him, the dude is a straight up BEAST!

Good morning all!  Hope you all enjoyed watching Gray Maynard get KTFO as much as I did this weekend!

First off, I want to congratulate OJR for winning the P4P award.  VM and ANS pulled in some votes, but OJR edged out the victory. 

Now it's time to place your votes for Manias funniest poster.  If all goes as planned, I'll close this poll tomorrow morning, so everyone gets a chance to vote. 

I counted all the votes from the "Nominees" fanpost, and the results are in.  You guys didn't exactly follow directions on the voting, so I did my best to make sure I counted accurately.  If there were ties, I tried to take someone who may not have been included over someone that was already nominated in several categories.   Check out the finalists after the jump!

I thought it would be fun to put together the "MMAMania Awards" as a series of fanposts here on Mania.  The initial thread got some great feedback, and Nostradumbass even came out thinking that it could be a fun series.  We've brainstormed and put together a list of awards categories, but now we need nominees.

The categories are:

The #1 P4P Poster - Favorite Poster
The LMAO Award - Funniest Poster
The Bloody Elbow Memorial Award - Most Annoying Poster
The MMABrainiac - Most Knowledgeable Poster
The get away from my bridge award - Biggest Troll
The Shakespeare Award - Best Writer
The I'd buy that for a dollar award - Best Fanpost Ever
The you have to pay me to read that award - Worst Fanpost Ever

How this is going to work is you go ahead and post your nominees for each award in an individual post, or rec someone elses post if it's already posted (Just like QOTW).  Top 3 will make the final cut, and we will do a poll style vote to determine the winner. 

Jesse mentioned in the original post that he may even try to put some prizes together or something, so maybe that adds a little incentive.

I was thinking that it would be fun to put together a MMAMania awards fanpost.  I haven't been on as much lately, so I'm looking for a little bit of help as far as nominees goes, as well as categories to award under. This is obviously just for fun, and something to waste some time on, but here are a few ideas.

Awards:

Most knowledgeable poster- NNR

Best fanpost writer - ANS

Best supporting actress- Jimbobb

Best leading lady- Sarah

etc, etc, etc...

If you think this is totally lame, and a waste of time, let me know.  I thought it could be good for some laughs.

NOSTRADUMBASS HIJACK: I think this could be amazing if we put some effort into it. Why not get the categories agreed upon, nominees, and how you want to form the voting process (poll, etc).

I'm sure I can get some prizes lined up and some other silliness.
