Phil Steele has become a butthurt caricature of himself
His post LSU/Bama analysis after predicting a Bama win:
"Tough loss for Alabama to LSU. Bama’s first possession got to the LSU27 but they missed a 44 yd FG. Bama’s 2nd poss got to the LSU23 but they lost 10 yds then missed a 50 yd FG. Bama got to the LSU24 but they lost 7 yds and brought in their short kicker to attempt a 49 yd’r but it was blk’d. Bama got to the LSU17 but settled for a 34 yd FG to lead 3-0. At this point Bama had a 181-55 yd edge but only led 3-0 and LSU, thanks to an offsides on 3&1 and a defensive holding on an incomplete pass on 3&4, would get a 19 yd FG on the final play of the half to tie it. LSU was int’d and ret’d to their 4 but a penalty brought it back to the 35 and Bama settled for a 46 yd FG, 6-3. LSU got a 33 yd IR to the UA15 setting up a 2 yd “drive” for a 30 yd FG to tie (14:13 4Q). Richardson ripped off a 24 yd run to the LSU28 and Bama had a great call. Maze, out of the shotgun, threw deep and the TE caught the ball, came down on his back with it at the 1 yd line but the LSU DB wrestled the ball away from him and amazingly it was ruled an int and LSU got off a 73 yd punt with 9:00 left but neither crossed the 50 and the game went to OT. In OT Bama took a sk and missed their FOURTH FG of the game, a 52 yd’r and LSU got a 25 yd FG for the win."
Oh he mad.

What do I gotta do to get Leach into the Blue & Red?
Seriously. I grew up hating you guys still do. I'm an alumni and season ticket holder and I always always list yall at the top of my hate. Yeah sure, I flirt with Florida or Auburn, but I hate you guys. Therefore, you need to get good again to provide my life with some fun and levels of hate only Ole Miss can inspire.
People used to say when Alabama came back that "it's good for football" or "it just isn't college football without em". Fuck that noise. I want you guys back. I want our rivalry back. I want it as one of the best in the country. I want us playing on Halloween but that's another battle for another day considering how much of a pussy our AD is.
Now, Mike Leach is the coach for yall. Serious. He's cerebral. He's a lawyer. He never played football. He's probably never thought about Mississippi and especially the Rebels. He can run a system that competes with the best without having to recruit the same talent. I daresay you hire that man and you start beating MSU immediately and you'd be on par with the trash from Arkansas and Auburn. And the hell if you couldn't handle Vandy and Kentucky.
Now you're rolling you see? Now you pull in the talent you couldn't at first. Then you knock of Saban's grumpy ass and you're back! Then you roll into our game and we get back to what we do best, hating each other. Make it happen and please keep Olivia Manning away from all of this. She'll just put doilies under the lil orange endzone pylons and shit.

If LSU loses to Alabama, I guarantee it's because we were outcoached
Alabama still has about fivekajillion coaches on staff they are paying. Seriously, David Shula is still on the pay roll. I think Mike Price is still getting paid as well. That's pathetic. We may have sucked and Joe Dean was turrble. But damn, that's a fine athletic department they got over there.
So I won't feel bad since Miles will have to have gone up against this huge braintrust of coaches for the Tide.
And if the Tide somehow manage to make mistakes and just have a bad day and lose, they can blame Shula and not lil Nick. So it's win win for them, built in excuses/scapegoats if they lose and they'll claim 2003 and 2007 national titles if they win. There's been whispers they are going to claim the 2012 London Olympics as well. No one feels mean enough to tell them you can't claim an entire Olympics.
So they were replaying LSU/Auburn last night
Of course I watched. I was there and it was nice to watch all the great plays and hits again but with replays from different angles.
-Auburn coaches dress like homeless people. And Trooper Taylor looks like a real winner with his hat backwards look.
-After some of the hits LSU dished out, Auburn wanted none of it. Their qb bailed out of several throws. I'd call him chicken but I'd be worried about being hit too. Then again, I wouldn't go to Auburn and put myself through any of that mess. Also, their dback Neiko Thorpe is a coward. One the first TD by Hilliard when Copeland led and demolished a LB or DB, Thorpe did all he could to spin away from Copeland/Hilliard and the ball. He should be ashamed to have the same name Thorpe as he's the other end of the spectrum from Jim Thorpe.
-The third kickoff, the one after the fumble and then the hit was great. At that point, someone wanted to be the next to lay some wood. The entire Tiger team was rabid at that point and it showed up in how the Dline and Oline was playing.
-I think someone here said it, but LSU could've added many more points and just embarrassed the War Plainsmen.
-That bodes well for next season, Auburn was pretty much helpless against this team. Most all of this team will be back and so will Auburn. I'm calling it now we take it to them next year at their house.
-The speed at which Mingo and the power with which Brockers wreaked havoc was giggle-inducing in how badly they dominated Auburn.
Now if we can lay a similar beat down for the same trash from Arkansas (see Kragthorpe disease jokes most recently) my temper will be satisfied, but only for a year.
No Jobs? No showers? Occupy Wall Street or Occupy Alabama?

The Mad Holgo with some love for LSU (and serious smack for WVU's own fans)
Nice of him to speak well of us but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn does he go after the Eer faithful (or not so faithful as it were).
College Football - Coach Holgorsen Controversial Comments (via CBSSports)
To be fair, our stadium hasn't held 95,000 yet. And I was there Saturday and while there were a lot of folks, there wasn't a full stadium. But considering the kick off time, it wasn't a bad crowd. Wait, who am I kidding, it was a bad crowd. Well, part of it. Some of it booed.
Anyone tailgating tomorrow?
I would love to bring my pleasant, sunny internet persona to real life and your tailgate and say hi en route to the game. If you're real lucky, I'll even bring you some Miller High Life, the Champagne of Beers.
Okay, I have to write more because of the word limit. I could maybe bring a bag of chips or excellent betting advice for no charge. Gratis. That's a deal folks.
Fine SBNation, here's more words. Happy now? Jeez
On Notice, Week 1
1. Why is Stone Hands Clement in the game over Deangelo Peterson? Peterson could be a tremendous weapon yet we have the equivalent of Billy Bob from Varsity Blues rumbling down the field and dropping big gain, field position flipping passes. He's on notice.
2. PJ Lonergan is supposed to be the superiour center over T Bob and yet this dude snaps a ball at the ghost of Doc Fenton and I then see him sucking wind big time. I'm hoping he was sick or something the way he had the fat boy face in the air, heaving with each breath like some fat kid from MTV's Made I Wanna Be A Laker Girl. It can not, must not be conditioning since everyone else was ok in that dept.
3. Baylor and that whole crappy conference. Wow is Texas full of nincompoops, idiots, tinhorns and losers in the midst of a crumbling conference that's the true life representation of the castle that burned down, fell over then sank into the swamp. The whole great state of We're Texas on notice for being so dumb when they trumpet to everyone how smart and big they are.
I just swung by Tigerdroppings
I lasted about three minutes when my head started hurting and my eyes got all achy. This was after only reading a few thread titles and clicking on one thread. Why is our fanbase so damn dumb? That place is just ate up with stupidity. Their dumbassery there is only on par with the overall aforementioned arrogance of Bama fans as a whole. I've said it before, I severely dislike a handful of fanbases and the Tigers' is chief among them.

Arrogance, thy name is Alabama Fan
"No offense to LSU, they clearly deserved to win yesterday afternoon, but had we really been as good as we had all hoped (and some expected), we would have won this game with no great difficulty."
That was written by a manager and prolific writer of the RBR blog in a post that lasted over half of the front page of the blog that included no jump. And that's just an absolutely idiotic statement. I love the first sentence, it's akin to Ricky Bobby when he says 'with all due respect' before insulting the person he's speaking to. Also, it's always fun how Alabama fans manage to combine a backhanded compliment with delusional talk about how good they are and how much better they are than you.
The Bama fan next to me at the game would turn to his buddy everytime LSU broke a game changing play (Randle touchdown, Randle first down catch late) and explain it as defensive lapses or defensive youth. Not ONCE did this guy give LSU credit. There were many times I complimented his buddy on a good play by Bama. The buddy wasn't complimentary in return, but he wasn't a spoiled brat. And hell, after the Auburn game, I was humbled. If there was an Auburn fan around, I would've gladly complimented them on their team and quality of play.
We've had to endure the wonderful Alabama fan we all grew up loving, the one that wasn't happy just pulling for the Tide and winning, but had to let you know in victory, and even more in defeat, how awesome they are since, well, forever. It must suck to constantly be losing to teams like LSU (we're something like 9 of 10 for this decade) when you are better than everyone.
So enjoy the RBR blog and Bama fans everywhere, especially RBR. They are, after all, the ones that started the Meltdown post. I will bet you money that even when they feature themselves this week, there will still be an unmistakable arrogance in that post. Hell, Bama fans everywhere will. That's why wins like this one are just a bit sweeter.

Embrace the Milesness!
I'm a prophet of the new order. I'm here to spread the message I've spread among close friends the last couple of weeks. I'm here to tell you what should be obvious right now. I've embraced the madness and you should too. At the least, it's in your best interest.
The unfortunate souls that gnash their teeth and seethe with anger and frustration will only continue in their blind ways. One must embrace the chaos and turmoil and fun that Miles brings us. Join us. You will be glad you did.
Give up the old ways of traditional coaching and winning. Embrace this art that our savant coach displays before us each and every week.
Now friend, I understand that this can go wrong at some point, I don't care. It's only when you accept rock bottom and total loss that you're free to enjoy each win, each success and the possibility of more. LSU will lose someday. And they will win. It's all up to Miles and the chaos. Whatever happens, wins and loses, it's your's to give yourself over to and enjoy it or resist and only end up angry. There is no anger or regret with me dear friend, just amusement and peace over seeing things in this new way.
Embrace the madness. Embrace chaos. Embrace art and living/football in a new and different way. Embrace Miles.
