I'm a 19-year old Steelers Fan who lives in Allentown, Pennsylvania(LV stands for Lehigh Valley). I am currently attending Cornell University and majoring in History and Government. I've been following the Steelers since 2004 and haven't regretted a second of it!

Butler to Become Colts' New DC
I'm surprised this wasn't posted already.
Interesting Stats
Tebow threw for 316 yards last night and averaged 31.6 yards per completion. It's enough to make one wonder...
More Sour Grapes at DBN
I'd laugh if it weren't so pathetic.
Playoff Machine
Way too early for this, but it's fun to play around.

"Tennessee's offensive line did an outstanding job of blocking the Steelers' front seven and providing an escort for running back Chris Johnson, who rushed for 51 yards on just 14 carries. The Titans couldn't keep the ground attack going because they fell behind, but that doesn't negate the efforts of their line. They used slide protection to get the Steelers' line going one way, and Johnson would then either hit the gap to that side or read the cutback and go opposite. Left guard Leroy Harris(notes) and center Eugene Amano(notes) are dynamic upfield blockers who know how to tag a linebacker and create extra space in the running game. Harris is also very good at pulling right and sealing the edge for Johnson and the Titans' other running backs — he stoned LaMarr Woodley(notes) with one outstanding first-quarter pull-block, and that's no small achievement."
What game were you watching?
2011 NFL Predictions
I just realized that for all of the Steelers-based predictions we have done over the past few weeks, there have been none that I can recall about the NFL at large. So, before the season kicks off in 20 hours, put in your predictions for the playoff seedings and records of the playoff teams in each conference!

Chargers fans want to have the next Dream Team
Awww. So cute.
Scott, Gilbert have hyperextended knees
Both should be OK, per Tomlin. As an aside, anyone who hasn't already should sign up for Steel City Insider. It's a little pricey but it's easily worth it, especially when you throw in the fact that a subscription gives you access to everything put out by Scout.com and its affiliates.
Plaxico-Giants Falling Out?
Apparently Coach Coughlin had little interest in signing Plax, and that was before the latter showed up 35 minutes late for their dinner Friday night. With the Giants seemingly out of the running and the Eagles tied up with Asomugha's new contract, that leaves one logical destination for the embattled WR.
Salary cap can increase to $126.885 million in 2011
Ike may not be gone yet!
Joe Flacco got married this past week to his longtime girlfriend, who apparently likes to exchange unibrow hairs with her new hubby while smooching.
Flacco = Michael Jordan?
Apparently Mason is planning a career in standup once he retires.

Top 10 Safeties in the NFL
It's nice to see Troy get some love despite his unfortunate injuries late last season.
Disgusting
I'm not the kind of person to get excited over this kind of stuff, but this piece completely crossed the line. Please feel free to share your opinions with the author, who had this to say about one Michael Vick only a month ago.
Clowns Update
How much do you want to bet, Josh?

Tomlin Injury Update
Some good news for a change. Smith may be back for the playoffs assuming we are in them, and Tomlin is hopeful that Woodley, Adams, and Keisel will be ready to go on Sunday night. Keep your fingers crossed!
OK, This is Getting Ridiculous
I'm sorry to post a link to that simpering gasbag Florio but this freakout over big hits has gotten completely out of hand. Now there are going to be suspensions for first time "offenders" because Rodney frickin' Harrison, one of the dirtiest players in recent history, whined about it on a pregame show? Maybe the NFL should just drop the facade and finally become the National Sprint Football League. I haven't been around for too long but I know that this isn't how it used to be. Does anyone else agree or am I just overreacting?
McCoy likely to start for Browns at Pittsburgh
Wow. All I can say is I hope for his sake Colt doesn't have a good memory.
LV's College Update and Open Thread
Have you ever wondered how it felt to have the dreams you worked so long and hard for go up in smoke and drift away at the hands of a bunch of people who you will never see and who know very little about you? Well, I have, and today I got my answer...
April Fools, I'M GOING TO CORNELL!!!!!!
Use this thread to talk about the NIT Championship, the impending Final Four, or the best news of my life!
Oh SNAP!
Tell us how you really feel, Derek!(Actually, I do feel bad for him.)
Horizon League Championship Open Thread
I'm back! My absence over the past few days was not due to a certain someone's legal troubles(although that certainly didn't help). I have been extremely busy recently with my AP tests less than two months away and a 15-page research paper due in English class. Anyways, I know that many of you are Butler/college basketball fans, so I thought it would be apropriate to have an open thread for the Horizon League Championship game which pits the aforementioned Bulldogs against the evil Wright State Raiders(where the heck is Wright State?). Feel free to ask me any Steelers-related question. I'm over it. Really.
Myron Rolle- Draft Projection Question from Steelers Fan
Hello Seminoles Fans! I'm coming to you from the heart of Steelers Nation with a question about one of FSU's many talented alums. The person of which I speak is none other than Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle. The Steelers failed to reach the playoffs in the 2009 season due to a large number of reasons, most of which will not be discussed here. However, the Steelers' most pressing weakness last year was their secondary. Once Troy got hurt, we were screwed. Our pass D gave away late leads against Chicago, Cincinnati, Kansas City, Baltimore, and Oakland, five of our seven losses(The other two were caused by a horrible offensive effort). Thus, most people have the Steelers going for a DB with the eighteenth selection of the first round. However, this poses some problems for the Black and Gold. The top safety who would be available at 18 is Earl Thomas, who has not had much experience compared to other high draft picks and has significant bust potential. There is only one CB with a first round grade, Joe Haden of Florida. He may not be available when the Steelers pick, and the draft's other CBs are bad value at that slot. That brings me to Rolle. Do you think that he would be available halfway through the second round? Do you think he is worth a mid-first round draft choice? Is he a safe choice? Thank you for your help in this matter; hopefully I will be able to glean a ton of info to share back at Behind the Steel Curtain.
P.S.- Your 200-word minimum idea for fanposts is very interesting.
Want another reason to hate the Saints?
Well, here it is.
…you posted this:
“Minnesota probably should have beaten New Orleans in the NFCCG”
Go back to your blog, sneaky troll.
The hell they should have beat the Saints, the Saints TOOK THE GAME AWAY FROM THEM.
I am getting REALLY IRRITATED at the constant “…yeah, but…” comments from the media and everyone else.
The Saints EARNED the wins they got this season, every single one of them. That comment is the typical sour grapes sound coming from a fan of a team that underperformed at fantastic levels. You’re so mad at your favorite team’s inability to even make the playoffs this season that you want to throw backhanded compliments at the team that DID win it all this year.
STFU & go away, LV.

This sad display of insecurity was inresponse to an innocuous side comment in my fanpost about the 2010 season opener. I said that the Saints probably shouldn't have beaten the Vikings. Does anyone who isn't enamored with the Saints disagree with that statement? They would have gotten their butts handed to them had it not been for the Vikings turnover orgy. All I have to say is that I can't wait for the Steelers' trip to NO this year.
