I am from Manhattan. Why am I an Isles fan? Because my dad didnt care about hockey and my Uncle is from Garden City--- Tickets were easy to get in the mid-90s... but whats new. Why did I remain an isles fan? in Spring '02 I was wearing my jersey in the dining hall of the University of Vermont and was confronted by the entire first line and backup goalie of the Catamount hockey team, all Leafs fans (including Blackhawks third line center Pat Sharpe, nice guy) and had to defend my guys alone (The words "Darcy Tucker and Shane Corson are a siamese scumbag with no skills or reason to be in the league" come to mind). Ever since it has been a duty, and honor to bear the standard, and stick up for my guys, we are few at times, but I will never allow anyone to question our loyalty... Though i would accurately be accused of often referring to it as an affliction.
