Spurs' Tim Duncan sprains left ankle
Tim Duncan sprained his ankle in the 1st quarter of the game against Golden State and did not return. He is expected to be out for two weeks. I think this will make it easier for the Blazers in the coming week. Does anyone think that the Spurs have the personnel to beat the Blazers anyway?
Blazers Coaches were DNP - Injured
Nate McMillan and the assistant coaches did not play in Tuesday night's game because they were injured. Who woulda thunk,Huh?

Help Me Test An Audio Stream
I have connected a digital home stereo tuner to my computer and then I set up a Stickam streaming account and now I need someone with some time to help me test the setup to see if it is working correctly. Anyone have time to help me out? If so I will need your email in order to send you an invite. [EDIT] OK, this request has been up for about an hour and I can no longer monitor it constantly (I need to go to bed) if someone does want to help they can send me an email: stratusfied2000 at gmail dot com.
The Dream Shake's Houston Season Preview
I had been thinking of doing an Ambassadors Preview but there is no way I do it even a small fraction as well as Tom Martin did. So check out this extremely thorough preview. A tip of the NBA cap to Tom.
A Truely Amazing Analysis from a L@ker Fan!
An Intelligent and Honest L@ker Fan is a rare breed indeed!!!!
Tip: The analysis I am referring to, is the very first one at the top of the page.
Rockets are pathetic vs Jazz
This is the worst performance by the Rockets I have ever watched. I definitely would rather face the Rockets than face the Jazz in the playoffs.
Blazers are ranked 3rd in two player positions!
I tried to paste the table into this post but this stupid software stripped out all of the HTML code. Lame.

Check out this trade - posted on The Dream Shake
For some dumb reason the trade link goes to a youtube video so here is a better link.
What do my fellow BEdgers think?
Von Wafer: Not Just a Feel-Good Story Anymore
It would appear that Baron Von Wafer has found an NBA home that could last. This is an excellent article about a player who through no fault of his own has been nothing more than a trading piece and a bench warmer. I for one am glad that he appears to belong in the Rockets lineup, and that he can contribute in a meaningful manner to the future success of his team.

My Introduction as Ambassador to Dream Shake
This morning I created a FanPost on the new SBNation blog - The Dream Shake. I am asking my fellow BEdgers to visit the Dream Shake blog and post some friendly comments welcoming them to SBNation. It is my sincere hope that some friendly banter can be established between us and them.
They to have some significant common ground with us here in BlazerNation. For example, there appears to be a level of hatred for the Utah Jazz that might actually exceed our own distaste for the Jizz. I believe it much resembles our revulsion for the Flakers.
I believe that The Dream Shake will be a excellent addition to SBNation and that we should assure them that they are welcome. I also would appreciate some feedback concerning my FanPost over there at The Dream Shake.
I tried to make this a FanShot but upon reviewing that horrible FanShot interface, I rejected it outright. As a Webmaster I find it to be pathetic.

Welcome to SBNation from Blazer's Edge
I am the Official Ambassador to Dream Shake from Blazer's Edge and I would like to extend a very warm welcome to The Dream Shake - The Best Houston Rockets Blog. When Dave (the Blogger-in-Chief at Blazer's Edge) announced that he want BEdgers (it's what we call ourselves) to volunteer to be ambassadors to the other SBNation blogs I was most unhappy to find that there wasn't one for the Rockets (yet). But I thought I would look to see if there was a blog that might be acceptable to Dave in spite of their not belonging to SBNation. Upon visiting The Dream Shake, I was elated to find an announcement that your blog would soon join SBNation. I immediately reqested the opportunity to be the Official Ambassador to Dream Shake from Blazer's Edge, and Dave granted me this privilege.
I have long admired the Houston Rockets franchise as they seem to always be genuine contenders for an NBA Championship and have succeeded twice. There is also the fact one of the greatest Blazers of all time (Clyde Drexler) was unable to acquire a ring until he joined the Rockets. More currently the Rockets have acquired former Oregon Duck Point Guard Aaron Brooks, a player that I really like, and I hope will be successful as a Houston Rocket. You also have an other former Blazer, Von Wafer (we called him Baron Von Wafer) who was never really given much of a chance to do much as a Blazer, but seemed like he had some potential to be a solid role player if given a chance to really learn a system and was given some significant playing time.
I also wanted you all to know that I and many others at Blazer's Edge share your hatred of the Utah Jazz. There is not enough room in a single fanpost for me to expound upon length, breadth and depth of this hatred. The only other team that inspires this much is the Flakers. Don't even get me started on that topic.
I am really hoping that during the 2008-2009 season that some level of sportsman like camaraderie can develop between Dream Shake and Blazer's Edge that will enhance everyone's enjoyment of the coming NBA season. If there is anything that I can do to help the members of Dream Shake feel more at home in SBNation, please feel free to post requests either here or over at Blazer's Edge. I will be visiting here on most days to keep up on all the latest important Rockets news. I will also be establishing a separate email account specifically for the purpose of facilitating communication with your members.
Oh, and one more thing - Hakeem the Dream really does OWN Shaq! (also known as fatass) Always Has - Always Will!

DWB Redeems Self
I hope that I am not the only person that realizes that getting a win is not the only important thing we take away from this game tonight. I think we can safely say that Jarret Jack was the difference. Which makes me wonder if the reason he has been choking all of this time is that he has been living in fear of the trade. After all most of us (including me) have been after him like a bunch of head hunters, and the very first game after he knows he is safe, he scores 15 and has 1 yes 1 TO - that speaks volumes to me.
Here are his stats (according to yahoo):
36:35 Min, 4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT, +10 +/-, 1 Off, 2 Reb, 6 Ast, 1 TO, 4 Stl, 0 BS, 0 BA, 1 PF, 15 Pts.
Not bad, not awesome, but pretty good. What stands out of course is the Turnovers 1, only 1! I am convinced that fear, fear of being traded was keeping him from performing. Am I wrong? Maybe, tell me what you think. BTW, this is my first diary.
