http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20081221&content_id=3725191&vkey=news_atl&fext=.jsp&c_id=atl

Basically, he's saying that our bullpen is so scary good that it will offset our starting rotation debacle. Really?

M. Gonzalez: Good/Very good closer, should be back to full strength after TJ.

R. Soriano: Pretty good closer but major health concerns. I'd go with Gonzo.

P. Moylan: Will need time to adjust from TJ. I would like to see him start the season in the minors.

B. Boyer: I'm looking for a breakout year in '09.

M. Acosta: Like Boyer, I'm waiting for him to live up to potential.

This would be a solid bunch, except for the ridiculous amount of injury questions. It's still not Putz/K-Rod or Madson/Lidge, and those two teams also have starting rotation superiority. And massive offensive superiority!

Sorry, but we shouldn't try to contend in '09.

Hi Guys, great site, I love the pitching motion breakdowns.

Bradford may seem an odd choice due to the mediocrity, but as a former submariner (I basically imitated Todd Frohwirth) I would love to see an analysis of a classic sidearm/sub delivery, and Bradford gets lower than any active pitcher I can think of in the majors. Just thought it would be a nice change of pace to dissect one of the more unorthodox deliveries. To me, the crazy deliveries are one of the quirks that makes baseball so interesting. I wonder why the delivery never caught on as anything more than a relief role.

He could be what Kotsay was supposed to be last year.

Yes, he's not going to play every day, but his mitochondrial disease was apparently misdiagnosed, and his condition now is very treatable. He'll play way more than he has the last two years. He could spell Francoeur when he slumps, or, God forbid, Matt Diaz, if we fail to sign someone in LF.

He's not the answer to our SP or LF problems, but he is a good complementary player who can be signed on the (relatively) cheap. Who knows, maybe he'll have a breakout season and we can trade him to a contender at the deadline.
