I love this site. I am a Cards fan from East Central Indiana, the middle of Reds and Cubs territory. Before this site I didnt have much interaction with Cards fans. The writers and commenters on here are great for the most part, truley the best fans in baseball. I've learned alot from them, well you, in the last 3 or years visiting this site. How the front office works, the farm system, actual player values, In depth numbers amongst other things (its late). In a nutshell, you are great and thank you. If your reading this. Probably not, I was never one for popularity.

Things Im looking forward to in sports (I know, clever right)

Stampede Blue Manning or Luck?

After reading many an article and comment on this site regarding the future of the Colts, I've came up with numerous draft and FA predictions for 2012. Some are utterly ridiculous Madden-esque fantasies, while others are more grounded and based on material I've read here. Theres hundreds of possibilities, yet it only seems to Colts fans at times we have but two...

Does Manning stay, or do we take/keep Luck?

I have forced myself into excitement the second half of the season thinking, regardless which of the many routes we take, this terrible season will have at least one brighter spot going into 2012 then usual. Be it the "obvious" choice of Luck, a playmaker defender, a solid runner, a shutdown O Lineman etc etc, we have a much better POSSIBILTY of having an extra probowl caliber player next year. Exciting right? Usually....I mean...I am.

But this is the year of Luck. The year of Luck and his great big draft shadow, so I just have a simple poll. You may not like the scenarios i have put forth (I agree you more than likely have better ones), but I chose 2 of which I have come up with for the poll. The foundation of the question really is Manning or Luck, just wanted to add in the twist of a possible scenario as the backdrop. I will let you choose the specific details of the dealings, I'll just throw out an "idea", sooooo......

As Colts fans, would you prefer trading the #1 overall to Cleveland (If we get it)

or

Manning to the Dolphins (If he'll sign and trade) Also: I would like to apoligize ahead of time for any grammatical errors, poor sentence structure, incoherent ramblings or proposed idiotic ideas. I am not a professional writer, memeber of the front office or a systems analyst at NASA. Im simply a sports fan. A sports fan who is gratefull for my teams SB pages, its writers AND commenters. So thank you. Yeah, you...And even you also. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Viva El Birdos The Mystery of Amaury Marti (Cazana)?

I was wondering if anyone could help enlighten me a little about Amaury Cazana (Marti). I've researched on the web some and pieced together what I think may be his story. He seems to be a very talented power hitter whos stats are hard to compare because he has played considerable time in the Mexican League. Seemed there was some question over his actually age. I mean how good is he? Why has he been jumping around the minors, when, his stats are good enough for a shot at least as a bench bat?

Just wondering if anyone out there has any insight into Mr. Cazana Marti....

Viva El Birdos Im sorry the correct answer is....who is Dan Uggla

Early in the off season i was talking with my brother Ben (Cubs fan) and we were coming up with solutions to some of our teams upcoming problems. Now some of the ideas where complete "dream weaver" concepts, like signing Sabathia or Manny. One of the more logical ideas i mentioned was trading for Dan Uggla and Hanley Ramirez. ok ok, i didnt mean the whole idea was logical...But i don't much have to state my case for Uggla, as he has now been mentioned in "talks". im not sure if it is even in debate amongst Cards fans if this would be a good idea, i think its more of a "could we really pull that off" type thing. I think it could be pulled off if the front office really wanted to do this. Shore up the 2 bag and the #4 slot adding stability to the infield and another power stroke to go along with Pujols, Ludwick(hopefully) and a healthy 150 game Ankiel. Hoping that doing so in a trade, we would have plenty of money left to pick up whatever overrated 6th man in the rotation starter would could find. im over eager for another Joel Piniero to get in here and suck for a lot of money a year.....Honestly i think the front office is going to ride TOO MUCH on some our Mr. Glass players to be healthy and make an impact. But hopefully i am majorly proven wrong and Carp, Rick, Glaus and Chris Duncan enjoy career years. Well, i'd be happy with 25 starts and 145 games a piece personally from that list.  im hoping that Rasmus pans out to be Carlos Beltran in Center and that moving some outfielders to make Uggla a redbird would restore us to National League glory instantainiously. Of course with our Mr. Glass's becoming unbreakable we would be needing a lot less from an overpaid jon garland type. wishfull, wishfull thinking....In a dream last night we traded Ludwick to the Rays for Scott Kazmir???? Then i woke up playing who's on 2nd, who's on 3rd..

What do you guys think of Dan uggla becoming a redbird??? Is it possible??Smart?? Stupid??

And no, your answer doesn't have to be in the form of a question.
