Branden Smith allegedly arrested over the weekend...
Dorial Green-Beckham might get quite the introduction to SEC football next fall. /inserttyronegifhere
Happy Halloween Dawg Nation! And in case anyone was wondering, there was certainly no repeat of last year!

Welcome to the SEC, Missouri Tigers...
I am not one to promulgate the sewing circle nonsense that is quickly becoming a blight on the college football regular season but this seems to have legs. Multiple sites, including the WWL (citing The Birmingham News and The Missouri Star) are reporting the move. As the dominoes fall, this will likely have consequences for the Red and Black, namely, the loss of our inter-divisional matchup with Auburn as they are likely headed to the East.
Cam Newton Immediately Eligible
The NCAA Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement has reinstated Cam Newton with no sanctions. There is no validity to the rumor that a Plinko board was seen being carted out of the NCAA conference room shortly thereafter.
Cam Newton - The Gift that Keeps on Giving
If, like TKK, Auburn is your official hate week, (he hates Auburn) then this should bring a smile to your face.
While this carries little to no import regarding his current status as an academically and athletically elligible member of the Auburn Tigers, it's still rather telling about the young man's character, if, of course, the story is accurate. This story seems to have a bit more gravitas than the rumors and innuendo surrounding the cash-for-services story. Stay tuned...
Dawgography – Law Dawg – Why yes, kind sir, this week could indeed have been worse for you.
I must confess to being not much of a blogger. I’ve followed the goings-on here at Dawgsports nigh on a year now but prefer mostly to watch from the sidelines. But this week, I think I need to make an exception. I’ve heard a lot of depressive commentary in the wake of our latest Cocktail Party setback. What is to follow is certainly not meant to devalue the emotional outpouring that must be taking place throughout the Bulldog Nation this week. I sympathize with each and every one of y’all, I really do. But if there is a fan out there in a greater state of malaise than am I, I’d love to shake his/her hand and then offer them a Cocktail drink of their own choosing. Here’s why.
The Worst Case Scenario
During the duration of this three game win streak, I have seen Jeff Schultz heap what can be honestly characterized as at least a modicum of praise on the Dawgs, The Mayor at least tacitly acknowlege that we should defeat three of our last four opponents, and even Depressive Doug predicting back-to-back Bulldog victories! I think the tenor of my verbiage alone should put you on notice but get ready for a full scale.....
To put to bed any concerns about the status of our offensive coordinator (at least with respect to heading to Ruston), Arizona offensive coordinator Sonny Dykes has been tagged to succeed Derek Dooley at Louisiana Tech.
First down incomplete, second down draw, third down screen pass doesn't excite me but hopefully that was a function of the personnel available to Coach Bobo and the utter vanillaness and predictability that I witnessed this season will be remedied in the future.
Get used to seeing this man in this color. Lane Kiffin is the next University of Southern California head coach. I am nonplussed and absolutely shocked by this turn of events. Does dad go with him? Who takes the UT job? Has Bobby Petrino finally found his soul mate?
Gentlemen, the floor is yours.
Not that this is any surprise to the Dawg nation, but add Calvin Watkins of ESPN to the list of sources confirming Richt's courting of Dallas DL coach Todd Grantham for our vacant defensive coordinator position.
