The obvious question of, "Why was Baron Davis not selected for the All Star game?" is not nearly as important as the more important question of "who is Brandon Roy? The Answer: A talented young player with loads of potential. But with only a mere 1 year of experience under his belt, that's all he is at this point. The politics of the NBA have gotten clearly out of hand. What ever happened to the old-school tradition of paying your dues? Roy's being "appointed" a roster spot for the West was as sickening as being told that somehow George W. Bush was "appointed" to be my President under the guise of a fair election. Sheer mockery at it's very worst! This year I boycotted the All Star Game for the first time in my life. But with my anger and obvious bias aside; I present the Facts. Roy: 19.7 PPG, 5.8 Asst, 0.96 stls, Blazers 28W - 25L. Baron: 21.8 PPG, 8 assists, 2.46 Stls, Dubs 33W-21L. On top of this, the buzzer beaters against not one, but two of the cornerstone franchises of the NBA in a single season? Yesterday's clutch performance was just as sweet as "The Silence of The Lakers" (Baron's next film title). It served as just one more piece of incriminating evidence of this all too tragic conspiracy. Maybe if we're lucky, Baron may have bumped into Michael Moore at the Sundance film festival and made plans for a full length expose'! I wonder what the title of that flick would be?
Ideas anyone?
