I have been a Fin Fan since I was about 10 yrs old. I was born and raised in south FLA. As a boy, I met and played ball with many of the '72 Fins, as part of the Big Bros organization and was hooked.

Bills agreed to terms with Tyler Thigpen on a three-year contract.

Thigpen is reunited with Chan Gailey, who coached him to a career season back in 2008 with the Chiefs. I have a feeling that this will come back to bite us in the @ss.

Players not ready to OK NFL owners' proposed settlement

National Football League (NFL) players took a cautious stance on a collective bargaining agreement approved Thursday by team owners, holding off a vote to sign off until they had more time to read the fine print. Team owners thought they had found the right formula to end the four-month lockout with their proposal for a 10-year deal, but representatives of the players said they would have to wait at least another day, because the players had not seen the full document yet.

NFL owners vote for tentative deal

NFL owners voted overwhelmingly in favor of a tentative 10-year agreement to end the lockout Thursday, pending player approval. The vote was 31-0 with the Oakland Raiders abstaining from the ratification, which came after a full day of meetings at an Atlanta-area hotel. Players still had to sign off on the deal — and they must re-establish their union, the NFL said.

Rosenhaus: Bradshaw interested in Miami

The running back has said he wants to remain a Giant and it would be somewhat surprising if the team doesn't re-sign its top running back. However, like a good agent, Drew Rosenhaus is going to promote his client and try to drive up Bradshaw’s value. Hat tips to NawlinsPhinFan and TCP

Brandon Marshall: 'My wife did not stab me'

Brandon Marshall told Broward state attorney investigators late last month that his wife did not stab him in a late April domestic violence incident.

Report: NFL CBA should be done by Tuesday

Mark Maske of the Washington Post reports that an agreement in principle on a new NFL Collective Bargaining deal is "likely to be completed" between this Friday and next Tuesday.

Report: Dolphins NT Soliai to hit open market

The Dolphins reportedly have "zero" chance of re-signing NT Paul Soliai before the onset of free agency in March. Soliai wants to cash in on his breakout second half, which makes it nearly impossible for an extension with the "30 percent" rule in effect. Soliai's camp is expecting a "free-for-all" once he hits the open market. As a run-plugging 350-pounder, he'll be in high demand among teams running 3-4 schemes. Do you think the Dolphins should pony up big money to keep him?

And the new Miami Dolphins Offensive Coordinator for the 2011 season is... Brian Daboll??

The Miami Dolphins just hire their new Offensive Coordinator, Brian Daboll. Who???

Miami Dolphins: Looking at the season in the rear view mirror

While the Miami Dolphins didn't come close to meeting most fan's expectations this season, just how bad are they.... really?

Fins appear to be new favorites for Harbaugh

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers are not willing to compete financially with the Dolphins' contract offer to Jim Harbaugh. Schefter cautions that San Francisco is not totally out of the hunt, but the Fins' offer is believed to be in the $7-8 million range. SI's Peter King calls that number "insane," and it would make Harbaugh the richest head coach in the NFL. The Niners are reportedly "ready to move on" if Harbaugh follows the cash. As of late Wednesday, Stephen Ross' Dolphins appeared to have emerged as the favorites to land the soon-to-be-former Stanford coach.

Miami Dolphins or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Fins

With a disappointing end to the Miami Dolphins' 2010 season, the Miami coaching staff is bracing for changes. But will they need to rebuild from the ground up?

Miami Dolphins: What's to be gained by playing Chad Henne? Start Tyler Thigpen.

What are the Miami Dolphins going to do about their Quarterback situation? Well, they have one guy on the roster today that it might be worthwhile to take a longer look at!

Miami Dolphins: Replace the coach? Replace the QB? I have a simpler solution!

What should the Miami Dolphins do to solve their problems? The answer is so simple!

Oy Vey, Whatta Mess! Can Chad Henne be the franchise QB? Should the Dolphins be pursuing Bill Cowher for head coach?

Miami Dolphins: Disappointing Season? Not Exactly

The Miami Dolphins are not out of the playoff hunt... yet. But even without a playoff berth, this season is providing some glimmers of hope for the teams immediate future.

Miami Dolphins: What Really Happened In Oakland?

Did the Miami Dolphins finally find their ground game last week in Oakland? Or was its success merely a by product of other factors?

Rookies Roberto Wallace and Marlon Moore and first-year player Julius Pruitt are expected to be active for the game.

Does anyone else think this might end up being a positive change? Is it possible that, with the Oakland Raiders playing 8 in the box, the speed these rookies bring will open up the deep passing game? I believe this would be the first time Julius Pruitt has been activated on game day - ever.

Miami Dolphins: Another Fine Mess? I'm just sayin'...

The Miami Dolphins played like a high school football team last Thursday night against the Chicago Bears. Can they get it together this week to face the Oakland Raiders in the "Black Hole"?

Bears scouting report: Tyler Thigpen, Dolphins quarterback

This is very interesting, and it seems pretty accurate to me. But it makes me ask the question, "If Tyler Thigpen is actually developing as a pocket passer (according to reports), just how really dangerous can he be?" .............................................................................................. Information for this report was obtained from NFL scouts. "Tyler Thigpen is a third-string quarterback who is being forced into the Dolphins' starting lineup because of injuries to Chad Pennington and Chad Henne. Drafted by the Vikings in the seventh round of the 2007 draft, Thigpen is on his third team. Though raw, he is dangerous. His only previous extensive playing time came for the Chiefs after injuries to Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard, Thigpen started 11 games, losing 10 of them. He has a career passer rating of 73.6. At 6 feet 1, 224 pounds, Thigpen is known for his athleticism. He can run and is effective in the Wildcat offense. He also has a strong arm, but is not very accurate deep. The Dolphins are likely to run a lot of bootlegs, play action and screens with him. Thigpen can hurt a defense by dinking and dunking if he plays within the scheme. He sometimes tries to do too much and free-lances, causing negative plays. The best way to defend against him is to keep him in the pocket and make him try to beat you with his arm."

Miami Dolphins: Playing like they want it!

The Miami Dolphins finally found their passing offense! But can they do it again tomorrow night, behind third string QB Tyler Thigpen?

Dolphins' Jake Long plans to play Thursday against Bears

I like this kid! If there is any way he can get cleared medically, I'd expect to see him suited up. The REALLY good news is that if Thursday is a possibility, then you can almost guarantee he will be available for the following game, even if he ends up not participating this week.

Miami Dolphins: Mid-Season Q&A

What do you think the biggest questions surrounding the Miami Dolphins are at the halfway point in the season? We take a look at the three most frequently being asked by Dolphins fans.

Miami Dolphins: What does the "next step" look like?

Can the Miami Dolphins ever be a dominant offense? What needs to happen to get them there?

Miami Dolphins: Playing tough; playing scared

The Miami Dolphins came within a single questionable referee's call of winning the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. But it shouldn't have been that close!

Miami Dolphins: Great? Not yet, but they have potential!

Are the Miami Dolphins playoff contenders? Maybe not yet, but they're close!

Miami Dolphins: Anything but special

The Miami Dolphins have fired their Special Teams coach after Monday night's debacle - but is it enough?

Miami Dolphins: A young team growing up

Despite the loss to the Jets, the Miami Dolphins showed they can open up their offense and compete through the air. What does that mean next week for the game against the New England Patriots?

Jets signed WR Patrick Turner off their practice squad.

"The Jets are presumably adding Turner because Braylon Edwards isn't slated for a full complement of snaps against the Dolphins."
