EPL Summer Thread - MUPPETS UNITE
Chelsea have practically wrapped up Lukaku and Modric wants in too. United have signed Phil Jones with Young and De Gea to be announced later. Liverpool have signed Henderson, Marveaux failed his medical, and they look to be in on Charlie Adam and some other English dudes. City arefavorites for Sanchezrunners up to Barca for Sanchez. Arsenal are doing Arsenalings.

It's being reported by multiple sources that Adrian Gonzalez has been traded (contingent on an extension being negotiated by Sunday afternoon) to the Red Sox for Casey Kelly, Mike Rizzo, Rey Fuentes and a PTBNL. In a year in which the Cowboys have managed to disappoint even the worst pessimists, the other sports teams in Dallas have more than picked up the slack. The Rangers gave us a taste of the World Series and both the Stars and the Mavs appear, at the early stages of their seasons, to be playoff bound. FC Dallas, though, is poised to do what no DFW team has done for over a decade: Win it all.
New EPL Thread - What the crap is going on with Liverpool?
Basically, if the club goes into administration and is docked 9 points, the deal with NESV will be off.
I can't possibly imagine this happening, if only because Liverpool is Liverpool. There's no way the bank will call in the loan knowing the potential buyer would walk, and there's no way the Premier League would punish Liverpool this way. Portsmouth, Leeds, etc...they're hardly small clubs but they're not a behemoth like Liverpool.
Also, international break. Yay! Rec this up before the GDTs start flooding in tomorrow.

Hamilton Out For A While

Per TR Sullivan, Josh Hamilton will be unavailable for an extended amount of time as a result of his crash into the wall in yesterday’s game, which everyone turned off after the first inning.
This shouldn’t affect the Rangers’ sizable division lead too much, but It does bring up a few questions. 1: Why do the Rangers continue to tempt fate by playing Hamilton in CF? 2: Who carries the offense on their shoulders now? and 3: Are the Rangers contractually obligated to have at least one of their key offensive players out at a time?
