Zac Robinson - Possible Stafford Replacement?
I know a lot of people are going to be saying I'm jumping the gun, which I am, but the pick up of Robinson pretty much says it all. Stafford is going to go on IR. There is no other reason to have four quarterbacks on the team unless someone is going to be released or not playing due to an injury.
There is no doubt in my mind that Stanton is done. The kid has had his run but every year he's been in the league he's been a third stringer. I don't think the coaches have any kind of hope that Stanton can run this offense correctly. They brought in Shawn Hill for a reason and that was Stafford being injured and not being able to rely on Stanton as a competent starter.
Enter, Zac Robinson. 6'3", 215, 4.6 - 40 yrd dash, a very athletic quarterback. Ran the spread offense at Oklahoma State and had the opportunity to throw to some talent including our very own Brandon Pettigrew and Dez Bryant.
Zac Robinson was a possible Heisman contenter in 2007 and 2008 but dropped off in '09 even though he and Dez Bryant had great chemistry. Some footage below is for Dez Bryant but the only guy throwing to him was Zac Robinson.
Here is a video from ESPN specifically talking about Robinson using Bryants height and the jump ball to their advantage.
Here is a comment on Frank Cooney's draft site about Schwartz and Robinson.
Schwartz talking about Robinson
QB Zac Robinson, drafted in the seventh round then released by New England at the start of the season, caught Schwartz's attention at the Senior Bowl last year, even though he played in the shadow of Tim Tebow. "He's a guy we liked coming out (of Oklahoma State). We think he fits a lot of things we're looking for in a quarterback." Robinson has the speed of a wide receiver, but Schwartz made it clear, while he loves Robinson's athleticism, he was brought in to be a quarterback.
Just some food for thought guys. Stafford is still the man through next year but he needs to stay healthy.

Matthew Stafford Surgery Update 11/8/10
Well, looks like I was wrong. Seems Staffords shoulder won't require surgery. I'm hoping that something good comes out of this. I say sit him out the rest of the year he's too valuable to be getting injured again before he's had time to heal. If Stafford gets injured again and is out more than 4-5 games I really think we need to reevaluate our QB position. Now's not the time to cut him loose but another year of this crap and it's time to go.
Louis Delmas - No Votes for DROY
Seriously, there is something VERY wrong in the NFL and I'm about to stop watching it. Brian Cushing, steroid freak and HGH DROY. Louis Delmas didn't get a SINGLE vote. Anyone else see anything wrong with this?

K.Smith Knee Injury
Smith had some things to say along with head coach Schwartz about K.Smiths knee injury. I really hope its something that won't take a whole year to heal. We all know how RB's with knee injury's end up, the kid could have just had his career end on a 48-3 loss. Read the full story here:

The Gun is Loose
Well, seems like Gunther Cunningham had some problems with the poor tackling in the Lions performance versus the Browns last weekend and rightfully so.
From his comments it seems like DeAndre Levy and Louis Delmas were talked of quite well. I didn't go back and review the game tape yet but he was more than a little mad at one play in particular busting loose. Full story on the Freep.
