KG vs. Chris Bosh
These last 4 games have really given us fans hope that this last run may go a little deeper into the playoffs then we may have thought. Even with the injuries of Wilcox, Jermaine, Pietrus, and Ray Allen the celtics have managed to lead the Atlantic Division as we approach the end of the regular season. But Sunday we face the biggest challenge we have had since facing the Sixers for the first time this season where we got killed. We face the Big 3 of Miami for the third time this season. This game means a lot because it shows how well the Celtics stack up against one of the beasts in the NBA.
Plan B
So since Dwight Howard is stayin in Orlando for at least until next years trade deadline, It doesn't seem like DH12 is coming to Beantown. So with rumors of Ray Allen being a big target in the free agency I would love to see the Celts draft Austin Rivers. He gives us instant talent and talent for the future. If it means to trade up I would definitely go for it if I was Danny Ainge. And I know his Father Doc is all for it. We could either trade both pick for a lottery pick or trade someone like Avery Bradley and one of are first rounders.
Draft: Lamar Miller or Trade for Matt Forte
Now that we have lost our starting RB Green-Ellis, I think it would be a great idea to draft Lamar Miller. He is not going to be a superstar RB this year and I don't even think he can compete against Whitehead and Slator this year, but I think because he is so young coming out of one of the best Draft Factories the Miami Hurricanes he has a lot of potential becoming a 1,500 yards a year kinds Running Back. I think he will be a little underrated in the draft and drop a little lower in the 2nd round. It seems like Bill Belichick always fills the holes through the Draft. Even though the RB position is not a very big hole I think its important to get some talent that can be huge especially in the future.
It's Time Danny
Tonight's game I was proud of the Celtics in that they made a game of it, but the last minute convinced me that we have 0.0001% chance of winning a championship this season. I don't want to say 0%. So tonight if I was Danny I would get a deal done with the Hawks in exchange of either KG or RayRay a Clipps 1st rounder and another piece like Bass, or Dooling what ever makes it work. We will still probably make the playoffs because we are in the East Conference, and if we don't make it, we have a good pick in the Lottery.
What About This...
The Win Over Magic
I think these last 2 wins over the magic, said something to Dwight Howard.
1. You got to respect the old guys
2. The Celtics are still Defensive Ballers holding them to 69.5 points the last 2 games
3. We are not desperate for him
4. We are more then able to win him a championship
The Celtics Big 3 Dilemma
To me the celtics team cannot succeed no matter what adjustment we make. The Celtics organization are loyal to there veterans and still cheer for them no matter what. But to be honest I don't think that are vets are able to compete in a starting role anymore. I think they have hit the wall. Yes, Ray Allen is having a great year so far, and Pierce has just came out of injury but how long is it gonna take for Celtics as a team to play like champions.
BlockBuster Trade!!!
After this year the Celts are only obligated to Rajon, JJJ, Paul pierce, Brandon Bass, and Avery Bradley. So that means we have a lot of money too spend and oppurtunities. This is just one.
Celts sign and trade Jeff Green, and trade JJJ, Bradley, and 1st rounder to Hawks. And we receive Josh smith
I think this would be the best way to turn around the celtics and become a contender again. Josh Smith would give us toughness, energy, and Defense. With Rondo, JSmitty, Brandon Bass, and Paul Pierce to build around we could definitely take back the East adding a few more solid players. Maybe like Chris Kaman, or Elton Brand and some wing player.
Celtics Future
To be honest I hate writing about the future so early in this short season, but i see a a lot of fans writing about how to improve this years team and maybe putting us in worst position in the future. To me this season does not have a very hopeful ending no matter what adjustments we make. Danny Ainge made the trade for Jeff Green to set the celtics up for a big time team in 2012.
Think about it the only contracts that the celtics are obligated to are Rondo, Pierce, and I am hoping Jermaine retires so his contract will be up. We will resign Jeff Green, Brandon Bass, and Kenyon Dooling which will probably put us up to 40 million to our salary cap for the year and there are free agents like Roy Hibbert, Javale McGee, Elton Brand, Batum, Eric Gordon. Not to mention Dwight Howard but i think we dont have much of a chance with him.
Plan C - Anderson Varejao
Plan C - The Celtics send their first round pick for 2012 and the cavaliers 2nd round pick for 2014 that we got last year back to the Cavaliers, and they send Anderson Varejao and some cash to Boston.
Avery Bradely
I think we should start taking Avery Bradely seriously he is finally healthy and is one of the best defensive player at his age and position. I think he could become a solid bench player backing up Ray and Rondo. Between D West and Avery I think we will have a pretty stiff Defense. His only down side to me is his ball handling. Its terrible! But thats why I think we should either sign or just hire Allen Iverson to coach him up a little bit, and helping him on his jump shot wouldn't hurt either.
The 2011-12-13 Boston Celtics
A few weeks ago I read an article on the salary cap of all the teams in the NBA and it explained why the Celtics made the trade of Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson and all those other guys for practically nothing. It explained alot to me of why Danny did that and how it will benefit us in the future. To sum it all up teams like Miami, LA, Chicago, and Atlanta are obligated to so much money for the next 2 years where the Celtics freed up so much cap space for the 2013 season where there is DH12 and other solid players. After we this season is over we are only obligated to pay 26 mill , not counting the addition of the new signing this year where as the lakers salary cap is up to 91 million for the next 2 years so this would be my plan for the C's.
Trade Idea
I was watching some NBA Classics of the 2008 finals and i could help but notice what Leon Powe contributed to the team so this is my idea since Marquis daniels is injured and we don't know how he will play when he comes back so Trade Marquis, and Haragody, and maybe a 2nd round pick to sweetin the deal to the Cavs for Jamario Moon a athletic veteran who can shoot well and play shooting gaurd and Small Forward, and Leon Powe who is a great rebounder well in the paint already knows the Celtics system, and just doesnt make very much mistakes with the ball. Powe can give Garnett time to rest before playoffs and can create plays during the playoffs aswell. Jamario moon played great with D West in Cleveland and plays solid defense. Moon is Great when he has guys around him and can strech the Defense a little more then Marquis can.Cleveland right now will try anything and it is lowering the cap space a little for them
Rondo vs. D Rose
Man this match up has gotin heated this season. Many people are undissided about wich point gaurd has the edge. Rose has the points and Rondo has the assist and the wins. According to the all-star ballot most choose D Rose over Rondo and Derrick is considered for MVP this year but why not Rajon? I think people dont understand what rondo does for his team. He brings Defense and runs the Offense. Just the other day he held Deron Williams to 5pts and 6 asts a guy who averages 21 pts and 9 asts. Rondo averages a double double with 10 pts and 13 asts. He can control the game without scoring. Sure he has great shooters around him but still most of them are over 30 years old so they arent as fast as they use to be.
But I think this is good for Rajon Rondo because he has been going around telling everyone he is the best Point Gaurd in the nba but others think different. I hope this really gets to Rondo that it makes him more determined to improve his game. Have a chip on his shoulder will help him, kind of like it helped Gilbert Arenas in his yearly career.
Done talkin about trades
Many people I trying to find a trade to match up to the magics most rescent trades recieving Turk, JRich, Arenas and someone else I forgot his name. So I went to the trade Machine and tried to get an idea but I couldn't do it. All the Celtics are important to us right now. Everyone plays a role.D.west a defensive minded tough gaurd, Big baby a big man who can pump up the crowd just by taking a charge, Nate Robinson a little guy who can get the offense going in a split second, Rondo the man in charge of this celtics offense, KG the leader of this team, Paul Pierce the captain, and when perkins comes back we will have the the 3 towers of torror with him ShaQ and Jermaine. we will become The Boston Bad Boys tossing evering one around that come in our house.
Toughest Team in the NBA?
I think Celtics are hands down the toughest team in the NBA. If you think about it I can't really think of any one tougher then ShaQ, KG, Paul Pierce, Perkins, or J.O'neal.Physically we may be the toughest team in History. Our players have been stabbed, gotten in fights on and off the court, back down anyone in the NBA,and they even make people cry. Our bench definetly is one of the best in the league. Marquis former ganster, D.West goes around with guns, and Big baby Davis has grown up a lot since Garnett made him cry. Oh and they lead the League with Technicals the last 2 years.
Rondo 4 MVP
It might be a stretch but i heard on NBATV that so for in this year Rondo is the MVP of the league.I know its only been a week into the season but if he keeps this up I dont think there is any question he wont be one of the top players in the NBA.He has broken the record for most assist in 4 and 5 games and thats hard to do especially when Magic Johnson is on the list.
Kelenna Azubuike
A 6'5 stong Small Forward who can shoot play D and is a good team player.
Kelenna Azubuike avg over 13 points 4 reb and almost 2 assists. He also avg 0.5 blocks per game his whole career. This guy would be perfect for the Celtics coming off the bench.
Trade for Nicolas Batum
This guy is just what we need. He is athletic, plays Great Defense because of his size, and is a great shooter.
Will Daniels
A 6'7 young Small Forward who can play good physical defense much like the Celtics type of Defense. This guy can make the 3pt and is good around the basket. He plays alot like LeBron both on Defense and Offense. I think once he's got the Celtics game plan he can be a very effective bench player and if not then we will have to rely on marquis. Besides we wont be taking such a huge risk on him since he wouldnt ask for much $$$. I think this would be the final touch to are run for #18.
Trade Idea
This idea would be good probably in the middle of the season around the time we get perk back.
Larry Hughes
Rumor has it the Celtics and the Bobcats are interested in Larry Hughes. The thing is Bobcats would give them more money. But I think he might choose the Celtics because they are a contender for the Finals.Igot my infomation from HoopsHype.
Marc J. Spears: Celtics still need swingman behind Pierce and Allen.Could it be Larry Hughes? Word is Cs and CHA interested. Hughes looking good in workouts Twitter
Why not Chris Hunter?
Chris Hunter is 6'11 Power Forward/Center. His FG percentage is over 50% and can hit the jump shot. He is decent on Defence and is young. I dont think he would ask for much money and he has room to develop. With Garnetts and Perkins help I think this guy could be another Leon Powe and if not that then even better.
Aronn Afflalo?
What about this young guy? He is a 6'5 sharp shooter and is unselfish. I think he would be perfect in the second unit with Marquis and nate robinson. He would add another 3 pointer threat and is a descent defender. I would almost give anything for this guy. But I have yet to figure out what the Nuggets want?
Now What?
Now that we have resigned are 6'6 gaurd/forward what else should we do should we Try to get a vet big man or get a young shooter to replace Tony Allen. We still have Rasheeds contract to fall back on But the Question is should we use it to fill in the forward spot or use it to add depth in the big men positions later on in the year.
sign and trade
why are we not talking about Wesley Matthews?
Jazz got Raja Bell for back up shooting gaurd so it doesnt look like they need Matthews anymore. This Guy has energy, defensive skills, and has offensive weapons. He is 6'5 and is fast. Him and rondo would be perfect together because unlike tony Allen matthews actually knows what to do with the ball. This guy avraged 13 points 4 reb and almost 2 assists in the playoffs.
Celtics new line-up
The celtics need to get gradually younger. I'd rather think about the long run then one more run. If we get some athletic, aggresive, and tough players I think we can still be a contender and have a future.
Offseason
The celtics need to make some changes especially with Perkins hurt I think we should try to get chris Bosh to start as center imagin to KG on the same team. We sign everyone back exept finely marquis sheldon and scal.Get Ronnie Brewer to come off the bench for Pierce and Ray allen. Get Chris Wilcox to back up the power forward and Center and replace sheed. Draft a big man like solomon Alabi to back up center entell Perkins is back. And get ready for drive 18 again.
PG Rondo, Robinson, Lafayette
SG Ray Allen, Tony Allen, Ronnie Brewer
SF Paul Pierce, Ronnie Brewer
PF Garnett, Glen Davis,Chris Wilcox
C Chris Bosh, Perkins(when he get back), Glen Davis, Solomon Alabi
And we got to bring Doc Rivers back
Tell me what you think?
Lovin It!
