Born a Steeler fan, will die a Steeler fan. I am originally from good old state of O-H-I-O, its pretty much a good state, besides the Browns being in Cleveland. My father grew up in New Castle PA so he was pretty much the roots of why I am a Steeler fan today. Right now I work in Washington DC at the National Eye Institute, I am also a head baseball coach at the Model secondary school of the deaf. Thats brief run down about me, most of you already know what I bring to the table, sometimes good, sometimes bad; I try to have the good outweigh the bad . Behind the Steel Curtain Mike and Mike with Big Ben

Hey Steelers Nation!  It has Been to damn long since I have been able to get a chance to write up some of my thoughts.  Reason why, it has been one of the busiest spells of my life these past 5 to 6 months.  Working, Being a football Coach, getting engaged, trying to finish up my last semester of School, etc.  you get the idea!

First off, good to see that this place has picked up some good people, some very interesting reads, and its been good to see  Blitz, Maryrose, schnifin, Badmaafala, and cgolden (is he still handing operations over in Cardinal Nation?) all still here. Enough of this gooey teary eye stuff, let me move on to something I been waiting to discusses with you all.

Behind the Steel Curtain DUDE

I just received a mobile Update stating that Brett Farve wants to come back to GB.  Can anyone find that source if its true.  Because that would in my opinion make me think less of Brett acting like a Woman when it comes to decide on things.  But before i make that judgment i was wondering if anyone here heard or can find source that this information i got on my phone is in fact correct.

Behind the Steel Curtain QUESTION FOR EVERYONE

I do not know about you guys but i am F*** fired up for this Saturday when the steelers single game tickets are going on sale. It starts at noon. here is the problem.  This year because i live in DC, i wanted to go to the Washington nationals home opener against the braves and they said that their single game tickets for the home open would be open to the public at 9 am on ticketmaster.  So i was thinking in my head, ill have the page set up and have a real time clock on my desk and click best available seats and that i would for sure be able to get it.  Well it didnt work because it was sold out, in the first 6 mins but because of the mass load of people doing what i did, i didnt click it on time or my computer didnt work fast enough.

My question is to you guys, do you guys know any technique i can used on saturday at noon to help me get a ticket in pittsburgh.  I already plan on picking a game where they are not playing against a team that everyone would want to see like the browns and dallas.  I know I am being greedy here because i already got steelers tickets this year, but i really really want more and i will say this I NEED MORE TICKETS.

So give me your insite BTSC, and i understand if no one wants to share their secrets because they want to get the tickets themselves.  But if you want to share with me because you just love my username lol then send me an email.

Thanks guys

Behind the Steel Curtain I Do not like to brag but

Today is my birthday, in famous D-Day (moment of silence for those who served).  But i wanted and couldnt hold in to tell you guys that my girlfriend just gave me tickets to see the Skins and Steelers ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.  I could not believe my eyes, because first they are damn expensive and second Skins are  generally the last team to give out their tickets to season  ticket holders and single game tickets.  But some how and way she got her hands on 2 of them.  Im freaking so excited and and can not wait till this season starts.  Hopefully the steelers will be 11-0 when they come in Washington.  But ill be more realistic 8-3 will be acceptable as well.  Thought I share this with the number one fans from Pittsburgh on BTSC.

Behind the Steel Curtain Farrior a Class Act

One of the players I think that have went unnoticed in  past few years is James Farrior. If you take a look on the steelers website what he has to say about the young core of players in the over stocked linebacker corps it made me  feel all good inside that we have some older players willing to say good things about the younger players to make sure the steelers are competitive for years to come.

Farrior is no sissy either, lot of times those players that do everything well but not great for long periods of times go unnoticed.  Well go unnoticed no more.  Farrior in six years as a Steeler has racked up 656 tackles, 15.5 sacks (6.5 of those came last year) and 6 INT.  Last year he showed that though he is getting older, his skills and determination to get better has not declined at all.  He avg. almost 109 tackles a year, thats impressive, hit after hit, he gets up brushes himself off and gets ready for the next play.  Not to mention hes only missed 4 games in his 6 years with the steelers now thats durability.

Though he is 33 years old, I can see him being productive for maybe 2 more years at the level he has shown in the past.  Thus, he is starting to take on the role of helping younger players develop by saying great things about them and showing up for OTA, every year to show support and dedication to the team.

In closing, if there was any awards given out by BTSC Farrior would get my vote on the UNSUNG HERO award.  Never makes excuses and always looking to not only make himself better but the team as a whole.  What you guys think about Farrior?  A beast with a kind heart?  Here are some links to get you some of you guys that do not understand what kind of player Farrior.  Steeler website and Pittsburgh Tribune Review.

10711263_medium

Not even one of my favorite players thats not a Steeler; Doug Flutie, could get by James Farrior.

Mocking The Draft An idea

Why dont we try to get all of the site coordinators from each team write a brief writeup about each teams hopes and outlooks on this years draft.  I see that to many people are complaining that some people are commenting about their team when in reality they may or may not know as much about a certain team as those who are fans of a certain team.  Because honestly i know alot more about the steelers than i do about any other team.  Thus it would not be fair for me to make rational comments on other teams.  Just a thought.

Revenge of the Birds Year 2 for Ken Whisenhunt

As Ken Whisenhunt becomes no longer a rookie Coach what can the birds look forward to?  The outlook looks great for many reason beyond my explanation that I talk about in this Post.

-Hes done his dues.  This guy was once a TE for Georgia Tech, and was drafted in the 12th round by the Atlanta Falcons in 1985.  He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Civil Engineering degree; that speaks volumes about how smart this guy is.  In the NFL he played for Atlanta, Washington, and the Jets, he was know mostly for his blocking skills. After that he retired after 9 years in the NFL and started his coaching career.

-Coaching career.  His first job was with Vanderbilt as a special teams and TE coach.  Returned back to the NFL in 1997 with the Ravens as a TE coach then bounced around with the Browns and Jets before landing with the Steelers in 2001 as a TE coach.  He developed Mark Bruener and Jay Riemersma into good run blocking TE;  if you are a Steeler fan like myself, those two TE were older and no much was expected of them, however Whisenhunt did a phenomenal job.  Finally, Coach Coward gave him the chance to take over the offense and take over he did.

-Great Steeler OC.  He is most known for his trick play in the superbowl WR pass.  But those who followed the Steelers know this guy developed Big Ben just nicely.  Never putting to much pressure on him when he was a rookie and the team still went 15-1, one of the best records in a season history, and Whisenhunt was a huge part of that; by allowing Ben to get his experience needed as well as still winning football games. Also if you forgot, steelers won that superbowl so he has a ring on his finger.  He brings much needed experience and winning attitude to the birds.

-First year as a Cardinals coach was impressive.  He took a team who was 5-11 in 2006 to a respectable 8-8 last year. His line can easily become one of the best in 2008, drafting levi Brown was a god send but developing him with Russ Grimm is a bigger god send than that Cardinals realize.  Bring Russ Grimm to the Cardinals was one of the smartest things Whisenhunt could have done. Not only did he bring Russ Grimm to the birds but he brought a handful of players from the Steelers to bring a winning attitude to the locker room.  I believe that a lot of the Cardinals failure in the past had to do with the attitude they have in the locker room.  They went from not expecting much to where winning is no longer an option it is a Must.

I know there are many other reasons why Whisenhunt is going to direct this team in the right directions but those I posted above I feel are most important.  The Cardinals will be expected to win this year maybe not with all the people in the media but surly in the locker room and among the team winning should become a habit very soon.  A lot of that hangs on how the QB situation will unfold.  But if we base it on Whisenhunt history, the QB situation will unfold nicely this year and they will no longer be the losers of the NFC west and will be fighting for a playoff spot.  They have the talent in the skills postions as well as in the trenches so expecting a playoff berth and a winning season in 2008 is not out of the question, not even close.  So get fired up Cardinals nation this is the year that is long overdue.

Behind the Steel Curtain People do not understand

After calling a few of my Steeler buddies and my father, I am a bit upset on how they rated the steelers in this years draft.  Most of them state that our picks were not what was expected nor what we needed.  After trying to explain to them that the quality of players that we needed were not there when the steelers were on the clock we had to make the picks we had.

Rashard Mendenhall was the best player on the board hands down, any one that says anything different just go on youtube and watch this man/boy(he only 20) run over OSU and USC.  He will be much like a M. Barber from the Cowboys got a tough mindset of hitting between the tackles hard. (isnt this willies weakness running between the tackles).  Having willie and Mendenhall should make our line much better this year (as far as running the ball goes).  Also I read about Mendenhall hes got a lot of miles left in him like willie did not really play much until recently so he should be healthy and ready for the physical demands of an NFL running back.  Side note this guy could help us out on special teams as well, returning Kick offs and Punt returns.  Him and Moore as kick returners sounds awesome and only time will tell if it can become one of the best in the league.

Our second pick with Limas Sweed couldn't of been a better choice, he fell to us so we took him.  I personally love the guy he runs hard and  seems to break out of the routs well.  Hopefully tomlin and CO. can keep him in line when he is not on a football field alot of people compare him to Plex which is great but I want him to be compared to Plex as a football player not as a person.  Hopefully he will not turn into the ego head case like Plex.

Davis and HIll are what i would like to call a shine or bust prospect.  Both of them have great physical talent Hill is 6 foot 6 while Davis 6 foot 3 DE which is a bit small for a DE but because of steeler history I think tomlin will move him to a Backer and a 6 foot 3 line back is the ideal size for a line backer in the NFL today.  I do not expect much from them next year, Davis may be a ST head hunter while Hill watches and learn the ropes.  If we do not see Hill this year on OL that means one thing, the steelers starting OL are getting things done.  To all those people out there that think we should of drafted a OL in the first round, why draft someone in the first round if they are not going to be playing this year.  Why reach for a number 8 OL when in reality that person will have to sit out and learn.  I much rather have the OL we have now than make a reach for a OL men that will never see a snap in 2008.  Thus we get a guy like Hill that will take a few years and if everything goes well we can use our future draft picks on other needs in the future.

With the other picks we made with Dixon, Humpal and Mundy, they were value picks if there is one thing i do not agree with it would be Dixon.  I feel we could of gotten an owen schmit but I knew that it would be unlikly since Tomlin has high hopes for Russell as our Full Back.  The only thing I can think of why pick Dixon is to give us some insurance on the  Sweed pick, because i think Dixon will be converted into a WR.  Dixon himself has nice speed as well as some size thus if the Sweed pick falls through we can develop Dixon into being the next Hines ward, but only bigger and faster.

Thus I give the steelers an A, not because they drafted the players that they needed but because they refused to reach for anyone that was overvalued at their draft position.  Since the steelers simply took the best players on the board in the first 3 rounds it gives our chance of having a successful draft a closer reality than reaching for some players that we "pray" and hope that they will be successful.

Lastly, for all you BTSC viewers please do not think that the Steelers blew it, much of needs to be tested but do not start doubting our steelers now after what some people call a failed draft just because we did not pick the players we needed.  The steeler simply picked the players that gave them the best chance to have a successful draft which will make our  beloved steelers successful for many years to come during and after the 2008 season.  So let this draft sink in and give it a chance before you decide if this years draft picks were the correct and best choices.

Behind the Steel Curtain Chad Johnson

I know we do not have much money or willing to trade anyone for this head case.  But i want to see how many of you out there would take a chance on someone like a Chad Johnson who is a head case?  Before you make up your mind chew on this really quick.  Both Owens and Moss have been head cases in the past but changed big time under new coaching and Management.  We generally get rid of players like them (plex), rather than dealing with them.  But do you think a Tomlin could make someone like a C. Johnson a team player?

also here C. Johnsons stats hes no number 2 teir WR hes among the Best of the Best.

In 7 seasons hes racked up 8365 yards with 49 TD
in the past 6 hes been over the 1000 yard mark every year.  blazing speed as well as always playing never injured.  started all 16 games in the past 6 years.  NOw what you think

Behind the Steel Curtain challage for everyone including other team representives

Since i came back from my long trip home today i could not help but notice a lot of other teams bloggers showing up.  I love every moment of it.  I love to see other people supporting their teams and their players thats what being a fan is all about!  I was thinking over work today about maybe trying something new it may not go anywhere but i want to see what happens.

I would love to see our players vs their players.  So here how i would maybe like it to work, (feel free to change the idea around a little bit if you have a better idea).  I would like for an example, someone to say Romo (since we been talking about him alot) vs Big ben, or a Hampton vs a Shaun Rogers, etc.  I think this will help us as steeler fans as well as other teams get a understanding of their players.  BEcause lets face it this year the steelers play some teams they have not played in a long time like the whole NFC East for an example.

Also no bad mouthing no saying that guy sucks type thing (unless he really sucks like a Big ben vs Brian Leftwich.) Though some can agrue that he was good at one point but lets keep it up to date.  Like Big ben last year vs Romo last year.  THis will allow for better analysis of next years predicted performance.

so i will through a curve ball and start this by  using ike talyer. So Ike Talyer vs any player that is brought up to discussion from other blogers representing other teams.

Lets have some fun

Behind the Steel Curtain what is up with

scrabble.  To much information and a shit load of what ifs.  Why does he or better yet scrabble why do  you continue to repeat yourself?  just wondering im getting a little bewildered over here.

I understand you want to give your thoughts but the good thing about BTSC is that you can write something once and we can all go back and read it from where you stated the topic you are talking about first.

Behind the Steel Curtain Owen Schmitt

attention everyone how do you guys feel maybe picking up an Owen schmitt from WVU.  could be a good back up and change up to willie.  projected to be a fourth rounder.  I really like the guy i dont know if any of you watched him play during the bowl game but he was impressive, and physical, that physicalness is what the steelers need ant it?

Behind the Steel Curtain Ward blindsided by Big Ben's comments

I came across an article today stating that Ward felt that Big Bens push towards getting taller receivers was a "smack in the face" for him. I dont know if i feel for ward here.  Ben never not once said that he wants to get rid of ward,  he stated that ward was a major plus to him because when ever the steelers need a tough yard, ward more times than not is there to answer for big ben.  The idea of ben's push to get a bigger receiver will in what i believe open up the passing game for ward.  When plex left i will say i was quite upset because i felt, even if we all thought he sucked and had no right to be in a steeler uniform, i believe plex put the fear in those corners minds and opposing teams mind that he could break one any time.  So they accounted for him.  This leads everyone else to be open in single coverage while a taller receiver is being watched by two people.  I just feel that Ben had a point. He did not by all means express his opinion to get a bigger receiver to piss off ward.   What you guys think,if you were Ward would you be pissed off, or would you welcome a big, play making receiver to open up the passing game thus leading to you to have more opportunities to catch the ball?

Here is the link to the article

Behind the Steel Curtain Ernie Holmes, member of 'Steel Curtain', dies at 59

Lets put him and his family in our prayers.  Im sure steelerlifer can help us with some great history of Ernie Holmes.  Not sure what kind of person he was off the field but i know his short time on the steelers was greatly important for the success we had in the 70's.  So give me a history lesson steeler fans, what kind of player was this guy?

Behind the Steel Curtain OL

Been doing some looking at the FA this year.  I couldnt help to notice that there are not really that many above average OL players that will be willing to not be paid.  I was thinking if the steelers do not want to pay for Faneca then who are they going to pay for.  I think personality Faneca is going to ask for the most in the Free Agent market however, the second and third guy wouldnt be that far off from getting the same pay check as Faneca.  So i ask you humbly Who(keep in mind the willing to spend money factor) would we get in the FA?  I think this was brought up before, but we could franchises Tag on Faneca spend a little money for this year but not worry about having to pay him for the future.  This will allow us to ease in some OL that we draft.  Because as mention before putting 2 rookie OLinemen on line is like asking for trouble.  I say this should be an outside option.  It allows players to develop, while not being financially strained for the future.

So give me some insight here, crazy and never going to happen, or should the steelers hire me as an ass. GM

Behind the Steel Curtain James Harrison

Ok, with the new adapt a steeler program i am going to try a couple of things to get a feel on what the public (you guys) as well as myself would want me to pay close attention to.  With that being said i would like to start off by giving a little history.

My baby steeler is 6 foot 242lbs born in Akron, Ohio on May 4, 1978.

Is an undrafted free agent from Kent State University, Harrison spent two years on and off the practice squad. He was signed as a backup in the 2004 season. Harrison was resigned in the 2006 offseason to a four year deal with the Steelers, despite not becoming a free agent until 2008.

Harrison started in three games last year when starting linebacker Clark Haggans was injured. His biggest highlight of the year was in a game against the San Diego Chargers, where he intercepted a Drew Brees pass for a 25 yard return.

Harrison gained some attention and popularity when he bodyslammed a Cleveland Browns fan in a 41-0 Pittsburgh win. The fan charged the field, Harrison grabbed the drunken fan as he approached his teammates and took the man to the ground. Harrison restrained the fan until authorities took him away. [1]

On November 5, 2007, Harrison had a standout game on Monday Night Football against the Baltimore Ravens. He piled up 9 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception. [2]

Harrison's nickname given to him by his teammates is, "Silverback". On November 26th, 2007, during a Monday Night Football game, an announcer gave Harrison the nickname, "Mr. Monday Night", because of his insane performance on November 5th.

(MY ADDITION ALSO 2008 PRO BOWLER)

On the final game of James Harrison's college football career he recorded 5 sacks on his future teammate quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
 (REFERENCE FROM WIKIPEDIA)

Thought this would be good for some of you that do not know the whole history of da man sliverback.

Anyways i would love to hear some feed back on you guys on what you would like me to look into about james harrison.  Ill try to find anything on James Harrison (if you want to know what kind of toilet paper he uses, ill do my best to find that information out for you guys).  So please dont be shy and comment what you guys really want to know about the upcoming star in the NFL.

Behind the Steel Curtain thing to notice as far as draft

Iv notice a from a few monk drafts why is everyone picking a CB for the steelers first round pick.  some of them even have them also picking a WR in the second round.  Whats up with this, i think we got pretty good CB young and old, and WR we got 2 really good ones with OK back ups in nate washington.

I would of thought that people would of notice the O-line problems and pick up a good o-line, and even possibly picking up a D-Linemen for the future due to the age of the snack.  (ps would it be sweet if somehow the steelers get Glenn Dorsey from LSU, that would be sweet, but very very unlikely) UNLESS, we are willing to trade someone on D with the pats for that second pick (VIA trade from SF).  Would you guys trade someone like a smith or maybe even tayler, or even some of our younger guys to maybe try to get arguably in my opinion the best DT i have ever seen

Behind the Steel Curtain New England

Hey guy been awhile since iv been writing, mostly due to the fact of finals week as well as working so been busy.  As i tend to do almost every week to the steelers opponents i go on their blog and write my thoughts.  I wanted to know what you guys thought, so here is my copied and pasted message to New England.

Hello New England fans, i like to give you the respect when the respect is due. Which is right now, I got the upmost respect for every player on the Patriots squad.  Now the coach differnt story, the good news is its not because of what happen in week one its because anyone that was once a browns coach or player i get a cold shoulder.  Thus, because Coach Belichick was once wearing some poop stain colors i can never look at him the same.  However hes a hall a famer, regardless if i like it or not.  I would like to point out a few things about what i saw that could or could not cause concern for your new england patriots this coming week against my beloven steelers.

1.) I dont really feel and see the physical toughness in some of your players.  Now im not saying they are not mentally tough, i think brady for an example is one of the most mentally tough QB that ever played the game. With that being said i couldnt help to see a lot of drop balls from the pats these past 2 games.  I get the sense that maybe they dont want to get hit while going though the middle, this is speculation by any means but i saw what i saw which is to many drop balls.

2.) Defense, with the offense scoreing so many points this year, defense was never really looked at.  I notice a few things outside of an ageing squad.  speed, i havent really seen much speed on the edges as i have in the past. baltimore and philly both ran off tackle while looking for the cut back, they were pretty successful in this regard.  Thus it leads to a lost step from the edge.

3.) lastly, which more of you will disagree with this than not, i see a problem these past two weeks with the o-line.  I know im going to get harrassed for this but im just trying to be honest in what i see.  Brady right now is getting, alot of pressure, alot more than expected.  This could lead to turnovers, which i happen in the ravens game but lucky you got smart players and your back striped it loose for a first down pats.  I think part of the problem is the jumble that the defense does, they set up one way but before the snap switch to another alligment (spelling).  Often times this leads to an overload to the side where there are less blockers, this puts alot of stress in your running back to pick the outside and inside rush up.

Ok finally enough about that, as a representive from the steeler nation we respect you there is no doubt there, do we think we have a chance hell ya we do.  We think we match up nicely, with the Number one pass def vs the number one pass off.  its going to be a hell of a game.  and quite frankly i cant wait.  I love football with a passion and this game is making me love the NFL more than ever before.  Now may the best team sunday win.  Win, lose or draw good luck the rest of the way and hopefully we see you in the playoffs as well.

Let me know if you thought that was respectful, because honestly i pride in our steelers for having great fans unlike some fans, (Miami comes to mind)  . At the same time i thought that though some of them and you will disagree with some of my points, sometimes the best statements are the ones that causes the most debate, so i was trying to stir it up a little, but make sure i was being respectful to New England.

*till next time wave those towels proud

Behind the Steel Curtain willie parker interview on stephen A smith show

Just got finish listing to willie parker on the Stephen A. Smith radio.  Question he asked willie was does he want the rushing title? Willie stright up said pretty much he wants it so bad, because that will give the steelers the best chance to win.  I dont know if any of you listen to his interview but he sounded pretty much like hes hungry.  That is so important in this league, even though you are doing well you need to continue to stay hungry.  He credit that to coach tomlin because he keeps the team hungry, straight down the line no matter if you are a 3rd stringer or a start, he keeps them hungry.  That tells me that this team is on its way to becoming real good i mean real good.  Just like my dad said after the Baltimore game watch out patriots.  (not that i want them the steelers to look to far down the road but being a fan im allowed to do that haha)

Behind the Steel Curtain Thank god for someone in espn

"Pittsburgh at Arizona: The Steelers are one of the most complete teams in the NFL and Ben Roethlisberger looks great."

by Mark Schlereth

I believe that is head on.  WE dont have no flashy Air it out offense (IND OR NE) or even a flashy run the ball every time (example Titans).  We can do both very well together.  I think that is one of the hardest things to do in the NFL to be good at everything.  I much rather be good at everything than be great at one thing.  Like the bears, terrible offense, great defense. (we could say that they are no longer great, but thats a large refection of their offense for not giving them breathers, " offense is defense best friend")
If we are Great at one thing i would say our defense would be the top of the list of what we do  really good.  So i am just glad someone can see our complete team instead of a player or players on a team that is great.  I can not wait till Sunday its like i live for Sunday, and its not because of god (though i do go to church after the games lol).

Behind the Steel Curtain upsetting stuff

Now that I finished my exam today, I can go back to my steeler surfing on the net.  I found some upsetting things fist is the fact that on Yahoo.com one professional don't think the steelers are better than the 2-1 ravens.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ys-rankings092507&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

Yeah I know that we played some teams that are not that good, but I thought the 49ers are a decent team.  I mean come one we are 3-0 and outscored our  opponents 97-26 that's huge.  Some say we have not played anyone well outside of NE and the Colts I don't think any team in the league that hasn't played them and the steelers yet have played anyone.  Why is It that the steelers always get cut short in the media, I mean when we won the super bowl people just said we got hot at the right time, which is important. But they never said we were the best team that year.  Even the year we went 15-1 we were never the "team to beat" it was always NE that NE this and Colts that and this.  Quick note, NE outscored opponents 114-35 and played jets (who I think suck) bill (we all know they suck) and Charger (which at the moment suck) and the colts outscored opponents  93-54 and played NO (suck balls right now) TEN (I like them) Houston (not a believer yet)  so where and when are we going to get respect I take this as a challenge and hope the steelers stay undefeated as well as NE and see whos the best of the best.

Behind the Steel Curtain new experience

Hey guys, boy do i love this site or what.. lol.  BUt i thought i would write to you all.  But heres the thing i found out yesterday that my girlfirend is coming down who is not really a big fan of football YET!! and she told me that she wanted to go to a bar with me and watch the game.. I Was so pumped like my prayers were being answered lol.  But anyways long story short, her family are huge browns fans and when we met for the first time i went to their house with a willie parker jersey not knowing that and they were like get out of the house!! lol i was like wtf.  they let me back in lol, but she keeps saying she is a nurtural between steelers and browns, i keep telling her that is not possible lol. you got to go one way or another... so i think im going to give her a big taste of steeler pride going to a steeler bar near dc. Now question to you all, what jersey should i make her wear lol, either my willie parker, big ben or troy P(spelling) or my heath miller. Dont worry about me i got the coaches polo that i wear every week and the super bowl shirt under the polo. I wear it every time for good luck lol..

well let me know what you guys think

Behind the Steel Curtain haha i had to share this to all you

I had to post this up and share it to anyone that has not see this yet.  This reminds me more and more of how glad we got rid of this man.  You all know exactly what i am talking about.  The man that is now swimming with dolphins, and making way more money then he should ever make.

Behind the Steel Curtain Little willie love

Just wanted to take a moment and give some much needed love to willie parker.  This man is a machine , i must tell you, yes he fumbles the ball but as of today he has more carries and more rushing yards than LT, LJ, S. Jackson.  Now yes there are two other people who are ahead of him as he sits in being the 3rd leading rusher right now in the NFL with 235 yards. But, the thing that makes him special is his ability to get stronger as the game goes on.  Though he is small he punishes defenses with his power and speed.  He is running behind a line that is a little shaky and with a full back that is on his first year (davis), but in a few weeks that line will become stronger and give will more chances to break more long runs.  He can do it all break it free for a 25 yard gain, and hit the hole on a 3rd and 2 and get the first down with the linebacker on his ass.  How can we forget that this man did not even play at UNC. UNC holy shit, yeah how can a man with that much talent not able to start on the UNC football team.  I think much of it has to do with his determination and work ethic, and he is a player thats got his head on straight, always doing the right thing and saying the right stuff, you never hear him complaining about things like LT does.  With that being said let me ask all you steelers fans one question, it will be a challenge.  Who would you rather have starting at running back for our steelers LT, or "fast" Willie Parker?

So please respond i want to see how die hard you steeler fans are or how die hard LT fans you guys are.

Update, i got alot more information in the comment section so take a look *till then wave those towels proud
