What's up guys. My name is Max and I'm currently a High School Senoir at Atlantic City Highschool. However, that's not why I'm here for. I'm here cause I LOVE THE COLTS. Pretty strange thing having them as my favorite team since I'm surrounded with Eagles and Giant fans. I've been a fan since 2001.

Stampede Blue ENOUGH IS ENOUGH WITH THESE FAN POSTS

OK I KNOW EVERYONE'S EITHER MAD OR DISAPPOINTED WITH THE JETS GAME. (I'm both) But please stop posting these fan posts since they're all about the same thing please enough I know I'm not the only person who is sick and tired of watching these fan post's pop up. I can understand your frustration but please unleash it in this post or someone else's that agrees with your point. Now let me move on without seeing another dumb post about either Caldwell's a puppet, Polian doesn't care, they should of gone for perfection, or anything of that matter.

Stampede Blue THE STATE OF THE PATRIOTS: WEEK 10 EDITION

                       28qrc7q_medium

Let's hope Freeney can get this type of pressure on Brady

Tom Brady

Brady or Manning. That's been the greatest question for many football fans these past couple of years. The Colt D certainly has their work cut out for them. Brady will provide the biggest test, the Colts will face this year. With 2,364 passing yds, 16 td's, and 5 int's this guy has been on fire lately. In the beginning of the season many wrote him off with the lose to the Jets because he was coming off his season ending injury from last year. However, Tom Brady has put the Patriots back in the driver seat and has since gone on a 3 game winning streak. Randy Moss and Wes Welker do their part in helping him. However like Manning, Brady utilizes his running backs by passing and throwing screens rather than running. It will take the combined effort of Freeney, Mathis, and the whole Defense to stop Brady.

Watch out for the Key Match up pitting Dwight Freeney against rookie LT Sebastian Vollmer. They'll probably provide a double team to help him against Freeney.

Stampede Blue THE STATE OF THE TEXANS: WEEK 9 EDITION

                         nfl_i_schaub_480.jpg matt picture by MAXAIR101

I didn't believe he lead the NFL either

1. Matt Schuab

Guess what StampedeBlue fans! Matt Schuab actually leads the NFL in passing yds. (He actually has 115 more yds than Manning) I'm not going to get into a debate into who's better. (Manning is) However, Schaub should get some praise. He's having the best year in his NFL career. To date, he leads the league with 2,342 passing yds, 16tds, and 7 int's. Schuab is leading his team to a potential playoff run! (This would be a first for the Texans!) Jokes aside, Schuab is pretty good. He's been surrounded by play makers such as Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels, Steve Slaton, and others. However, Owen Daniels is out for the season and Andre Johnson sustained a serious injury two weeks ago against the Bills. We will see how good Schuab really is in utilizing his back ups. Still, Schaub is going to put the Colt D to work this Sunday. He better be ready for a ferocious pass rush.

Stampede Blue Maybe Edge can take Brown under his wing?

Edge has just been released by the Seahawks! Any of you guys are thinking what I'm thinking?

Since there are some that are picky about shots and posts lets see if anyone here agrees with one thing. Does anyone here think maybe we should cut Chad Simpson and let Edge have a shot for a while. I mean sure he's been doing good. However, maybe the presence of Edge might pay dividends in helping Donald Brown develop into a great player.

What are your opinions?

Stampede Blue THE STATE OF THE 49ers: WEEK 8 EDITION

                             nfl_u_hill_smith_580.jpg PILATES picture by MAXAIR101

I hear they also do Pilate's and Yoga together...

1.) The QB situation and O-Line

Shaun Hill or Alex Smith? I've heard these guys are good friends. However, Alex Smith might be making the move to snatch the starting QB spot. Shaun Hill so far has thrown for 943 yds, 5 td's and 2 int's. He's been the starting QB until now. Mid-way through the game against the Texans, Alex Smith replaced Shaun Hill and lets say he almost pulled through. Alex threw for 206 yds and threw for 3 td's in the loss against the Texans. Will Smith start this week? One things for certain. Whoever starts better be ready for Freeney with a side of Mathis.

Update: Alex Smith will start Sunday against the Colts

The 49er offensive line aren't the prettiest pass protecting bunch out there. So far they've allowed over 19 sacks this season.(I'm surprised Shaun Hill is still alive) However, they're a solid running team.(I'm pushing this area a bit) To be honest my money is on the Colt's D line against this area. Maybe Brock can finally get some sacks!

Update: The 49er O-Line takes another blow with the loss of their veteran RT Tony Pashos.

Niners Nation Any Positives Out There Niner Fans?

Hey guys I go as Livemaxxx and I need a favor. I do a weekly post on Stampedeblue, where I analyze a teams strength's and weaknesses. I try to be fair and add a little humor to it. I do this post against weekly Colt opponents and we have you guys this week! So far I have Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis, and that's it. Can you guy's point me to any other good players on your squad? Please be reasonable and try not add players cause of "Homerism"

Stampede Blue BOB SANDERS injured again..

If anyone here has seen the game. How did Bob Sanders get reinjured again? I mean he was doing well stopping the run. Then he was fooled by a flea flicker and let a 40+ yard pass get through him. Hopefully this is a small injury. However, his constant injuries are seriously starting to get to me.

How did you guys think he did? and can someone please tell me how he injured himself...again!

Stampede Blue THE STATE OF THE RAMS: WEEK 7 EDITION

                              Man-with-paper-bag-on-head_medium

The Way Ram Fans Feel This Year

1.) 0-7 and no it isn't a typo

Let me start off and say this team was the hardest to analyze to date. I always try to find every teams strengths and weaknesses. However, the Rams do not have anything worth mentioning except Steven Jackson. Anyway, I had to get some help from fans at Turf Show Times (THANKS GUYS). Let's just they're bitter and split on what to call strengths on their squad. In a nut shell, I expect a win from the Colts. The Rams organization are in a state of panic. Not to mention they're up for sale. Lets face it the Rams are straight out horrible, but here goes nothing.

                                                                marc-bulger-derrick-burgess-i-wish.jpg BULGER picture by MAXAIR101

                                                                           The Rams Feelings Towards Bulger

2.) Marc Bulger

Remember back in 2006? Besides Manning and Brady, Bulger was up there as an established elite QB. He had over 4,000 yds passing with the help of Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt. Since then fate hasn't been kind to Bulger. Bruce left for the 49ers and Holt signed with the Jags. Plus, Bulger was plagued with the injury bug and has never regained his swagger. Well guess what? Bulger is the starting QB and will go up against a young talented Colt secondary all day. With just 640 yds passing and 3 touchdowns this whole year. It's a safe bet to play the Colts D this fantasy weekend. Might there be a Sanders sighting? Let's wait and see.

                                                                                       The Caged Beast

3.) Steven Jackson

Steven Jackson is the only thing that can pose a threat to the Colts. This guy doesn't get enough praise in my opinion. Not much separates him from Adrian Peterson. Yeah, I said it.  This guy has the size to plow and the wheels to get rolling. The situation in St. Louis is so bad that Jackson at one point had more rushing yards compared to Bulgers passing yards! He's got 501 rushing yards and averaging 4.2 yds a carry. However, he's got 0 tds. It isn't his fault , since his team doesn't do enough to get in the end zone. To be honest though, I don't believe he'll be much of a factor. The Colt's D stopped Chris Johnson in week 5, they should be well enough to tackle Jackson.

Even the Ref's get in on the action

4.) The Ram Offense

9 points. That's how much they average this season. Their offense is pretty much dead. They ranked near the bottom of the barrel in terms of total yards a game. A lot of the blame can go to the O-line. They've tried improving their line after the departure of their Pro-Bowl LT Orlando Pace. Their answer was first round draft pick OL Jason Smith. Lets just say that investment hasn't been looking good so far. (Freeney is going to have him for lunch) They've allowed 13 sacks this season. The only bright spot is their run game. Don't get too excited since that's all there is to their offense.

As for their receivers. Lets just say they're working hard to make lemonade out of lemons. Only Donnie Avery is worth mentioning here(this is a stretch). He leads the Rams in total receiving yards with 213 yds and 2 td's. As for TE's...please don't insult me.

5.) The Ram Defense

Welcome to the NFL's doormat. The Rams allow 28 points a game and over 380 total yards. (Predicting our first 100 yard rusher this season)  I really can't point out any positives in this area. However with the help of a few fans from Turf Show Times they guided me to James Laurinaitis. This second round rookie from Ohio State has shown a bit of youth to a bewildered defense. He leads his team in tackles as well as spirit. Which is something the Ram D has clearly been lacking this season. FYI, if you hear a big hit, its probably Laurinaitis. Nevertheless, in the end there is no possible way the Rams will be able to stop the Colts.

Stampede Blue "The Unclassiest Team of the Decade"

I really think that the beat down the Patriots gave the Titans is more proff that the Patriots can finally be labled

"The Unclassiest Team of the Decade".

Last week when the Colt's played the Titans at least they have the decency to run the ball and let them have a crack at it. They've done this a couple of times this season. Sadly, for some reason Bill and Brady need to prove something whenever they play 0-5 opponents.

You guys think they might be trying to compensate for something?

Stampede Blue THE STATE OF THE BYE WEEK: WEEK 6 EDITION

The Colts are on a well deserved bye-week. So this week I'm going recap the Colt's progression up to week 5.

                                                                                    No Caption Necessary

1. QB

Peyton Manning. Need I say more? We could be witnessing a second straight MVP trophy for Manning. That would be FOUR MVP's for this future Hall of Famer. The way he's playing is top notch. He's lead the Colts to a 5-0 record with his arm. You would think that the loss of Gonzo would stall him. Yet Manning kept on chugging by adding Garçon and Collie to his circle. He's making them look  like future stars despite being a rookie and 2nd year veteran. Manning is also making the case for Wayne and Clark to be pro-bowl bound. He currently leads the league with 1645 passing yards, 12 TD's, and 4 int's. Manning's passer rating of 114.1 makes him dangerous to any defense he faces. He's arguably the best player in the NFL. Enough said.

                                                  91197205_medium

                                                                                     A Pleasant Surprise

2. WR's

Surprisingly,(well not really) we have two of the top five receivers in Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne. Well in terms of stats at least. It's not everyday you see a TE in the top 5. I can safely say Clark is pro-bowl bound(FINALLY). Nevertheless, this dynamic duo has made the case as one of the most feared receiving corps in the NFL. To top it all off, the Colts have amazing back up's in Pierre Garçon and Austin Collie. So far Garçon and Collie have taken the Colt motto (Next Man Up) to heart. They've provided Manning with options and have gained his trust in the process.

One question still looms.... What happens when Gonzo returns?  Will they bench Garçon? Will they put Gonzo back at number 2, thus shifting the Colts to only implement Garçon and Collie on situational downs? Will Garçon start over Gonzo?  Are the Bronco's for real? Opps sorry, I got off topic. Well you get the picture. Next to Bob Sanders situation, this is the next hot topic facing the Colts.

The Colts Running Attack so Far

 3. RB's

I really don't know what to say about the RB's. So far Addai and Brown are doing everything they can to keep the Colt's running attack alive. They currently rank just behind the Raiders in terms of their running attack. However they don't need to be Adrian Peterson. Basically the whole Colts offense depends on Manning's arm. Addai and Brown so far have shown their receiving abilities coming out of the back field. They occasionally get the big yard gain or the eventual goal line TD. They've also shown they can block and pick up blitzes, thus making Manning's life easier. As long as they protect Manning, they can continue having 50 yd games!

CHARLIE COME BACK...YOU CAN BLAME IT ALL ON ME...CHARLIE COME BACK!

4. O-Line

The O-line has fared well against teams this season. As I mentioned in my Week 5 edition, I gave a hint on the Titans pass rush being something to take note of. I was right through out the first quarter. The Titans provided a legitimate pass rush and got to Manning. Manning wasn't sacked, however they haggled him enough into making mistakes. Remember his interception? Tony Ugoh got beat and the Titan got enough on Manning to ruin his throw. I really miss Charlie Johnson now. I can finally state Johnson without a doubt is the clear the number one LT. Besides that speed bump, the Colt's O-line has been protecting Manning. However their run blocking is in question. They just don't have that *Push* other teams have. Hopefully, they 'll find it in the weeks to come.

Stampede Blue Spanish Heritage Month

I just wanted to show my respect to this particular month. I myself am Hispanic (Peruvian) and just wanted to see if there are other Hispanic Colt fans out there. I think what the NFL is doing is real classy, since more and more Hispanics are tuning in and becoming a part of the NFL everyday.

Quick Note: Anthony Gonzalez actually derives from Cuban descent. Check out the article about it here

Any thoughts or comments?

Stampede Blue THE STATE OF THE TITANS: WEEK 5 EDITION

Hey I’m going to start analyzing future Colt opponents from now on. I'm trying to find out more about future opponents so I can better understand what the Colts are going up against from week to week. The reason why I’m doing this is to pass the period in one of my classes and guess what? There are computers in my class!  Anyways I hope you guys will enjoy this and hopefully comment on anything you guys believe might be missing or could be important as Colts prepare for the Titans.

1.) 0-4

That picture pretty much sums up their season so far. I know the Titan’s wished they could be back to their 2008 form. However the Titans are a divisional opponent and shouldn’t be taken lightly. If we know anything about divisional rivalries, its that there’s always a chance of an upset. Still even at 0-4 the Titans have shown they can hang with some solid teams such as the Steelers, Jets, and Texans. Losing by either a touchdown or less, with the exception of the whooping the Jags gave them this past Sunday.

2.) Kerry Collins

This guy has seen better days, trust me on that one. Lately, he hasn’t been as careful with the football as he should be. His stats so far have been 914 passing yds, 5 TD’s, and 6 interceptions. What stands out to me is his interceptions and it makes me feel good. I prefer a sitting duck with my order of Freeney on the side. In that I mean I always favored older Qb’s against our D, it makes it way easier for Freeney or Mathis to sack them. Hopefully he’ll still start this week or maybe Vince Young can take up the QB mantle. Either way, I believe the Colts can pressure either QB into making mistakes

.

3.) Chris Johnson and LenDale White

Chris Johnson honestly is the only player that scares me going into this game. He’s actually ahead of Adrian Peterson in terms of rushing yards. That spells bad news for the Colts D. They Colts might also have to contest with LenDale White. Recently there’s been praise for his sudden weight loss of about 30 pounds. The way he accomplished it is even more surprising. All he did is cut out the patron. Amazing isn’t it? Anyway, White hasn’t been doing so well this season and hopefully he’ll continue this trend. As for Johnson...let's hope the Colt's come in with the swagger they've had so far and shut down Johnson early.

Stampede Blue The Seahawks Ways 2 stop Manning

Everyone at stampedeblue knows that P.Manning is without a doubt the best Qb in the NFL. It's not very often that I go around to other teams blogs and websites. However I'm glad I did in this case.

These are pictures from the Seahawks website called the Field Gulls

Stampede Blue Some P.Manning Love

Remember the critics before the season started? Remember all of their reasons on why the Colts would slip? If I remember correctly many criticized whether or not the Colts could go on without Tony, Marvin, or Meeks. Then the Colt's were hit with the injury of Anthony Gonzalez. I felt many wrote the Colts off prematurely cause of this and raved the Colts win over the Jags was basically a joke.

I know everyone here at stampedeblue knew that this wasn't going to be an issue for the reigning MVP. Now in week three, finally people are starting to realize they've been wrong all along.

There's an article I would want to share with everyone by Vic Carrucci. I don't normally read his articles but this one caught my eye. Lets just say he's got a man crush on Peyton

Here's how: He's Peyton Manning.

He's the consummate example of an athlete who gets the absolute most out of his skills through hard work and an unrelenting desire to remain at the very top of his game. His obsession with wanting to be the best at everything he does -- and expecting the same from everyone else on the team -- is why, three weeks into the season, he leads the AFC and ranks second in the NFL with a passer rating of 117.7.

Well atleast they're realizing again how special P.Manning really is. If you guys want to read the whole article yourselves click here and enjoy. I know it made my day...sadly my Calc test is next period hopefully I'll pull a 93 instead of a 18.

Stampede Blue NFL Fines

Is it just me or are these fines from the NFL getting out of hand? I once believed that these fines were only attributed to the unnecessary, brutal, and sometimes the occasional slip of the tongue about the league being to "soft". But once again I was proven wrong. Dunta Robinson from the Texans has just been fined $25,000 for writing "Pay Me Rick" on his cleats. Now this message was targeted towards their GM. Still I can't find anything wrong with what he did. I mean if it wasn't for this article I would of never known about this. It wasn't offensive and it really didn't stir up anyone. Do you guys believe this is just taking it to far?

Stampede Blue CBS Sports is Pro Colts!

Man I've had enough of ESPN. While I was looking through CBS for once I noticed they pretty much love the Colts. Or never the less they are actually sane with their picks and reviews. I've never really read much about Pete Prisco but at least he speaks the truth. He predicts that the Colts will win the division reclaiming their crown and will go for their 7th 12th win season. The Titans will come in second, with the Texans in third, and finally the Jags in last. Now I agree with Colts winning the division but I believe the Texans will jump to 2nd and impress a lot of people.

Now second, Jamey Eisenberg wrote an article about Dallas Clark. Finally someone notices him except for Colts fans! This short article reveals how he's been knocking on the door every year for a pro bowl and hasn't got one and how he will be a Fantasy stud this season.

Any thoughts?

Stampede Blue Atleast one sane person on ESPN

Hey guys my first post here. I mean I've always came down here to stampedeblue for all my colts news since i can't trust or stand ESPN homerism and all. Now I've decided to join anyways I was surprised when i was looking through ESPN and saw Trent Dilfer's QB's list and how analyzed each and every teams starting or back up QB's. He actually has Peyton above Brady. Now when I saw this I quickly refreshed the page just to make sure i wasn't dreaming. I guess I was wrong about ESPN after all not everyone of them are mindless drones. Then again Trent was a QB and he would know a great QB when he see's one. Doe's anyone else know any other analyst's that aren't drones also??
