Something about this seems fishy. One, I thought Texas never signed JUCO transfers. Two, I thought all offers were conveyed by Mack. Three, I thought offers were only extended when a prospect visited. Anyone know anything about this guy?

Looks Like we may be losing Marquise Goodwin. 247 Sports is reporting that he tweeted, "I'm done. It's been fun." Maybe he is going to focus on track? Would hate to lose him!!

I agree with Luke, especially with regard to the only viable starting line-up that I see:

"The Horns' ideal lineup, going forward, would be to use Brown and fellow freshman Avery Bradley at the 1-2 spots, and then Gary Johnson, James and Pittman at the 3-4-5. Brown and Bradley have both proven they're capable of scoring, but the onus will be on them to generate offensive opportunities for James and Pittman -- which neither guard did against Kansas."

Not official from Mack & Co. yet but it looks like D.J. will be able to play against the Tide.

Seems a reasonable line to me after Alabama's impressive performance against the Gators.

Looks like us Horns fans in the Northeast are getting screwed!

Despite his heroics, Quan is in a real battle to make the squad. Good luck Quan. I just KNOW he will be a good pro.

Burnt Orange Nation Rod Davis to A&M

Another one bites the dust.  Rod Davis has signed his LOI to A&M.  All-in-all this is still a very good class.  Solid from top to bottom.  We need a QB & RB next year though.  Also, we have to keep getting those big time linemen.  They are usually the keys to success!

Burnt Orange Nation Tarell Brown looking good for 49ers

As an avid Longhorn and 49ers fan, I was thrilled when the niners picked up Tarell in the 5th round of the 2007 draft.  I always thought he was as good as Ross.  Maybe his 2006 season wasn't up there with Ross' but overall, I thought they were pretty comparable players.  For a 5th round pick, I thought he was a steal.  Getting jammed up the way he did behind weed that wasn't his and someone elses gun combined with a so-so senior season sure made his draft stock plummet.

Now, it looks like he is sticking in San Francisco. He made the 53 man roster and was even given a team award.  Good for him.
