"While much of the NFL draft focus has been on Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, sources say Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III will also declare for the 2012 draft before the Jan. 15 underclassman deadline."

Are you tired of see Oklahoma players and fans do "their" hand gesture - the inverted Hook 'em? Here's one comedian Greg Wilson came up with. In my opinion, it's PERFECT!

Burnt Orange Nation Another NCAA record within Colt McCoy's reach

Currently, the NCAA record of career completion percentage is held by Colt Brennan of the Hawaii Warriors. He completed 1,115 of 1,584 attempts, giving him a completion percentage of 70.3914%. Our own Colt currently has completed 1,155 of 1,643 attempts, putting him in second place at 70.2982%. Yes, we are getting into numbers rivaling last year's BCS turmoil between Texas and Oklahoma. In order for Colt McCoy to secure possibly his final NCAA record, I've listed below the number of passes he would need to complete based on attempts in his final game.  I found the more attempts made, the lower his required percentage for this game in order to pass Brennan's stats. Overall, we're looking from about 74% to about 90%, depending on how many times he lobs the pigskin downrange (or sideways on those God-forsaken screens - to Greg Davis, just say no!). He'll need a stellar game to achieve this, but I believe it can be done.

If this sounds geeky, it is. But I had too much time on my hands and read too many of PB's and GoBR's posts, which have had me on an emotional roller coaster, going from one extreme to the other in terms of excitement, paranoia, elation, and nausea. So if you care, the info is there. Personally, I'd love to see Colt McCoy achieve another record, but I'm not losing sight of the bigger picture. McCoy has said it himself many times, that the personal awards don't matter. It's all about bringing home the crystal trophy.

Good luck to the Horns. May we bring home another national championship!

It looks like starting linebacker Rolando McClain and backup defensive back Rod Woodson aren't feeling too well. While they might recover in time for the game, I'm sure they'll be a little more tired/ worn out than usual.

Burnt Orange Nation BCS Declares Germany Winner of World War II

Sent to me via email:

BCS Declares Germany Winner of World War II (US ranked 4th)

After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."

German Chancellor Adolph Hitler said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings. Hitler protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented " France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines
