Is Anyone Watching the 2012 International Bowl?
Is anyone watching the International Bowl live? Watching online is only possible if you live outside of the US/Canada. I wanted to see Bluiett, Cole, and DJ2 in action. I know what MB2 can do. Can anyone provice updates?
Mack's Extension a $23 million mistake?!!!
This guys reasoning is ridiculous. Especially this part, "...More than one-third of Texas’ $96 million in football revenue is generated from ticket sales. Those sales might already drop off next season thanks to the Longhorn Network, which will make it easier for fans to watch games from their living rooms, and they could be hurt even more if Brown fails to get the Longhorns back to their winning ways...."
The team will get turned around, and it is completely obvious that he has no idea how many people can actually watch LHN. I couldn't help but laugh.
1 Down! Hugh Freeze of Arkansas St to be HC at Ole Miss
Manny safe for now.
Tech fans rush to buy new gear
I undrstand shirts for championships or maybe a classic rivalry, but they take it a little farther than expected here in Lubbock. Maybe it's just me but commemorative gear for breaking the nation's longest home winning streak? Really? They talk crap like they'll win every game, but when they do they treat it like they weren't supposed to...regardless of who the competition was.
Perfect example of why Lubbock is such and appealing place...
other than being full of red raiders, lol. Nice Haboob!!! Video was from weather tower cam 10/17/2011
Looks like some of that aTm "hillbilly" stuck around in Lubbock
The video is priceless. TTU roping team is almost too "country" to even understand their account of the events.
Jordan Shipley out with ACL tear
I hate to see this for Jordan. Guy has had his fill of injuries like this. Hope recovery goes well for him and he can get back to football soon.
Cleve Bryant fired.
Forgive my ignorance, I am not really clear on what role he actually played for the football program. I understand that he had been suspended for some time now, but will his firing effect the program at all?
Those of you with the privilege of LHN
Can you tell me what the Football Practice show is on LHN? Iis it highlights from practice, actual practice footage, or is just an extended view of the practice report, like what is supplied on mbtf when they interview a few players?
LHN Adds 6 Cable Providers in Texas
http://www.texassports.com/genrel/082611aaa.html
"Several operators in the state of Texas -- Consolidated Communications, En-Touch Systems, E-Tex Communications, Bay City Cablevision, Mid-Coast Cablevision and Texas Mid-Gulf Cablevision -- will make the Longhorn Network (LHN) available to University of Texas fans. The network, dedicated to all things University of Texas, features its first football game on Sept. 3 when the Rice Owls take on the Longhorns from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. Central (with a re-air at midnight Central)."
That's awesome, Now what about the rest of us!

Jordan Shipley Rising on Cincy depth chart
Ochocinco headed to Pats
Texas Softball
Heading to softball game tonight in Lubbock. It will be the fist time I've seen them since Cat was playing, who should I watch for in this game tonight? Is anyone else attending also?
OSU passing game returning
Blackmon and Weeden staying at Oklahoma State
Jamaal Charles .02 yards short of legend.
The distance is only 0.72 inches. If Jamaal Charles(notes) of the Kansas City Chiefs had gained that much more per carry this season, he'd have unseated an NFL legend in the record books.
The explosive Chiefs running back finished with 6.38 yards per rush this season, an average which left him narrowly behind Jim Brown's record of 6.4 yards per carry, set in 1963.
The way things are going...
The next rumor will be that Teryl Austin and Shannon will be co-DC...cause apparently Austin is a lock to be hired as well...JUST HIRE SOMEONE ALREADY! It's Killing me!
Basketball Roster
Out of curiosity, I decided to check up on the basketball team page and wandered into the roster page. I also scrolled through the commitment list in Orangebloods after heaing of the most recent commit for basketball and was reminded that Jackson Jeffcoat was listed as a commit toplay basketball, the same can also be said for Darius Terrell. However, neither one is listed on the roster for basketball. I was curious if anyone knew whether these players will attempt to play both sports or if I somehow missed the fact that they will concentrate only on football?
How impossible is it to aquire one of these? Are the BON shirts available for purchase? The only info I could find was very very old, from like '06 or something.
Coming to Lubbock on Saturday? I'm sorry... Anyway thought I would post this to prepare you for some of the stuff you might see and hear while your here.
" the Texas Longhorns continue to bleed your conference of riches and equality...."
I guess people are more pissed about staying in the conference than what I thought.
Scotty McNight
Out of curiosity... I have heard that Scotty was injured, is he healthy for this weekend's game? If so, what is the outlook on his production? I have watched him over the years and although I am a Texas fan I have enjoyed watching him produce against good teams. I have'nt heard much about him this preseason and was just curious what his status was. I appreciate your input, and I have to say I am said to see Colorado leave the Big 12. Good luck in the Pac ? "what ever they're gonna call it".
Jaxon Shipley - Season Opener
I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I am starting to buy into the hype of Jaxon Shipley. I was anxious to see what is output would be during the season opener. He was held to only 52 yards but had a couple of punt returns for touchdowns. Hoping for a healthy season for him and I can't wait to see him in a burnt orange uni.
OchoCinco, Shipley, and T.O.
T.O. and Chad Ochocinco should be interesting. This will either be a great duo/trio, if all goes well, or a total disaster. How do you guys think Ship will be affected with Owens' arrival in Cincinnati?
DKR SEATING? FOOD?
I will be attending the October 10th game vs Colorado. Currently I am shopping my ticket/seating options and need some help with best selection. I have only been to 2 games in Austin, once in '99 and Last year vs Baylor, what sections would you choose to sit, with a budget of 130.00 per ticket?
I am also a foodie, I love to eat. Can you recommend some restaurants for me visit during my time there? Chuy's, Bikinis, and Opal Devine's are where we ate the last time in town.
Tech This Weekend
Not sure of what to expect this weekend. Both teams have been so inconsistent lately. Hopefully Texas can put together an entire game and win. Either way there will be FREE FOOD.

So confused...!!!
I am so torn as to who I want to win this weekend. I assume that Texas will handle A&M and Tech will handle Baylor. I am undecided on the OSU vs OU game. So many scenarios...I just can't decide. An OU win could possibly put us in the conference championship but OU could also sneak in. An OU loss puts Tech in the conference title game, which I don't think either Tech or Mizzou could jump us after a win...still I don't know .
New BCS Scenario?
Austin-American Statesman is reporting that there is an outside chance that 3...that's right 3...Big 12 teams could end up playing in a BCS game. Although, this scenario seems like a longshot, there is the possiblity that this wil happen. Especially, with the Big XII title game being in KC. Basically, a Mizzou home game. Can you imagine the fallout if this actually happens?
