What a game. By Far the most entertaining game of the season. I, like most, was not to happy to be up one with Tech having theball and 1:30. But,I did see some things that make me optimistic.

First, we fought through adversity. At the end of the game I found myself thinking, "how are we about to take the lead?? We have sucked all game." We didn't perservere, but everyone got that much tougher. The youngins especially grew alot.

Wiliams' where have you been all my life. Malcolm Williams, 4-182 and 2 touchdowns??? Sick, I am not worried about the deep threat anymore. And special teams is where he belongs.....too. Can he play defense???

A Williams, might should wear #7. Also a special teams allstar. Can we just recruit Wiliams' from now on??? I mean ten/eleven of 'em, save the kickers.

C. Wells, probably will get his hands up and learned why playmakers are playmakers. While Thomas learned why finishing a play is important.

Gideon will learn this week, more than any other, adversity.

Colt learned not to snap the ball with 20 seconds left on the play clock and game clock running.

Did anyone else think the Foz could have broke one, but was gassed at the second level on his explosive???

Drops, it was raining pigskins...

Notable absences:

Cosby, Johnson, Irby, Kirkendoll, Chykie, Rak. (yeah I know some were injuries, but they were still missed)

Now that the px is off I am looking Forward to some wide open Texas Football!!!

I know I missed alot but I don't want to type/think no mo.

Dear Robert (May I call you Bob?),

First let me start by saying congratulations on your 5 stupendous victories and by saying I am a big fan-Congratulations, and I am a big fan. Now to the heart of the matter. Bob, I saw highlights of your games thus far and I have to say that, though impressive, your team is beginning to look fatigued. In particular sam looks plum warn out. I think it would behoove you to sit him on saturday. Save him for Kansas. Hazle is more than capable and needs the work. Seriously he is putting on the weight. I also couldn't help but notice that your d-line did not look motivated. Bob, they are overworked and need a vacation. American is always running last minute deals to Temp.., uhhh Baton Rou...urrr L.A.?? , maybe send them to an OC day spa. Lastly, do something for yourself, maybe watch from the stands. Let your coaches have their day. Don't you think its time??? Oh and the Game time changed, its on sunday, tell your team.

Is anyone else upset about this? Well If you are in Texas its prolly no big deal, but I am stationed in the FL Panhandle, so it's a different situation. I thought Texas was a big enough school that they would not have to do PPV. Sigh.....

I pray this is a contract thing and that all the games (that are not ESPN games) are not PPV... Otherwise it will be difficult to follow Texas this year. Will the game be available on MBfootball that night??? Does anyone know??? Any horns in the Pensacola FL area???

Injury.....

Unfortunately, we have suffered our first injury of the season. Josh Marshall fractured his scapula today.......... No telling how someone fractures that particular bone, perhaps Muschamp took the chains off the dogs... But seriously, I had high hopes for him. I was thinking he would be a more than adequate replacement for Finley.

In his place Davis is trying Greg Smith??? Davis said he wants to do alot with 2 tight end sets this year. Here's to a quick recovery for Josh.......(insert spilt beer here).

I have wondered this since that unfateful play. Did the refs usurp some power here??? I don't care if there was sufficient evidence to make the call, did the refs use the replay incorrectly???

There was no unsportsmanlike penalty called (the flag was thrown for suspected intentional grounding), then it was called during the replay. I though that the Referees could not use instant replay to make calls. Did anyone else notice this, question this??? Anyone have an explanation? I have tried to bring this up in several forums, but alas. I would appreciate some declaritive relief.

I happened to be surfing the web and came across this poll. (Scroll down a little) So I voted, and I think we should all vote.

That raises a few questions for me. Namely, who will be the personnel in the nickel package? Defensive depth charts with 3 starting linebackers simply may not apply to the majority of personnel groupings we see on the field this season. I'm hopeful that this will mean more Muckleroy/Kindle and less Bobino. The main question is what that 5 defensive back will look like in the 4-2-5. Will we use a 3rd cornerback or be more like Aggy's defense and use a SS/Rover type who can come up against the run?

Sorry I needed 75 words cuz I actually need people to see this.

I don't really know what to say about this.(no Grundels here, promise) I don't think this researcher has not lived up to his title. First, I didn't think our offense struggled last year. Defense.... Yes ...Offense...not hardly...

If you have a back like Charles why would you need any others. I also remember Charles being in Mack's doghouse at Iowa State with McGee being more than adequate.

Lastly, I think Muschamp is more Mack's heir apparent than is Applewhite.

I have read a few articles like this...Anyone else???

I thought I would compile a list of things to look forward to seeing this year, that were missing last year...

Defensively

Disguised blitzes. I hope to see Horns flying around prior to the snap creating mismatches and confusion.

Turnovers... Make it rain. We went through a dry spell mid season last year. Make it like the holiday bowl. Ruuuuuuuuuddddddeeeee. Ruuuuuuuuudddddddeeeee.

Open field Tackling/Hitting. Spotty at times particularly with K State, and A&M. Is the Ced- Marcus-Michael(Huff)-Aaron-Tarrell standard gonna be met or exceeded. Buehler...Buehler...

Pass Defense... Beasley, Palmer, Et Al.

Offensively

Fewer interceptions. No highlight here.

For the most part I thought the offense was potent. A more experienced line will be nice this year.

Looking forward to seeing Fozzy and Malcolm develop.

Rivals.com says that Shipley is looking sick in 7v7.

Special Teams

Blocked Punts...Please, Santa, Please.

Quan was productive and I'm not complaining, but a more explosive return game (insert Ramonce Taylor's Return against OSU 05 here) would be more entertaining.

Overall

No More malaise. Hopefully Mack has lit a fire under their "grundels." [Warning: Link incredibly NSFW and gross to boot -HB] Hahahaha....
