2 CQ points. That defines just plain awesome, baby! Picture above is from the one bikerace I actually managed to win. My cycling career high.

I found a great link on paris.thover.com Made by a UK team of poets and film makers Viral Verse
They found traces of the virus in his blood. But he is almost fit to ride races again.
Rabo spreads the news sooner than PdC itself. Funny!
An additonal reason to visit the Centrum Ronde van Vlaanderen. Exposition is open till October. http://www.rvv.be/en/museum
Lately, I have been bugging Chris about the Dutch races in the official VDS ranking. To make matters worse, Chris recently started bugging me about the same subject. Therefore I present to you the...
Sadly there doesn't seem to be live video this year. Only some live pictures but that's a pretty lame surrogate I'd say. Luckily I won tickets for the show tonight. Too bad I can't wave at you guys. TINGELINGELING!
Both the Flemmish Het Nieuwsblad and the Dutch Telegraaf will have articles about exclusive interviews with Lance Armstrong both tomorrow and thursday. If we are to believe the teasers Alberto Contador won't be saving these for his scrap book. Lance is ready for war. Why he goes for the Dutch/Flemmish media is a mystery to me. Maybe because of the TdF start in Rotterdam?
For the lucky few that can read and understand Dutch I can really recommend the cycling columns Rob de Haan writes for www.nusport.nl. He writes about fun/interesting facts in contemporary and...
No I'm not mistaking the PdC for a motorized cross website. It was done. Riding 7193 km from the Eiffel tower to Senegal. ON A BIKE! It's actually been the third edition this year. I stumbled upon...
With star-studded field and the tropical ambiance this years Amstel Race Curaçao will certainly live up to the expectations. This race is fast becoming THE last race of the season for the...
On the Rabobank site there is a great clip about the best of Flecha in the past four years. Almost completely in English and a great watch. I don't know how to link to it directly but maybe someone else can help us out there. The last word Flecha says in the clip is "Kippenvel". (goosebumps). That's what I got from watching this too. Too bad there were not a lot of 1st places in his Rabo years. Wishing him all the best in the future!
Last week saw the 11th birthday of the site that brings you links to the websites of all cycling races around the world. Plus a 24h feed with links to the 20 main cycling news sites. The guy who operates this site as a service to cyclingland has his birthday today too. I know because he is a direct colleague of mine. So, congratulations Cyclinglinks.nl!
As a cooperative bank Rabobank is a company without stockholders with equity that actually belongs to nobody (is that called mortmain in English?). Out of the idealism that created this strand...
It makes me sad. He will be back though. He'll probably be 26 then so he still has a whole cycling life ahead of him.
He set up a new management with Theo de Rooy as chief but Astana chose Martinelli. He does not know these people so he leaves. I think he played a crucial role in east-west diplomacy up till now so a renewed license is becoming less likely every day now. Poor Contador. Caught in a trap, why did he have to ask for a longer contract?
I couldn't find it on letour.fr but many sites are reporting the back numbers for the coming TdF. Sastre got number 1. Some surprises. Cavendish has a 1 and Pellizotti too. I thought Kreuziger...

As a participant in this year’s VDS competition I sometimes get the feeling I am following a Grand Tour by reading the paper. The problem is that every time I run to the kiosk to buy my paper it...
Today will see two stages in the 3D de Panne. In the morning a short road stage over 112 km. Mostly flat so a sprinter will probably win this thing. Some intermediate sprints are available for the...
Today will see the third edition of the Eneco Ronde van het Groene Hart (Round of the Green Heart). This race wants to show the world how beautiful Holland's so-called green heart is. This is the...
All the fun things you can do with statistics... This will give you some insight into the strength of the cyclists and teams participating.
All VDS-teams are in. The first VDS-races are almost upon us. Time to reveal your cards and show the world which 1-pointers you enlisted to bring you glory. What precious gems did you find amid the...
What is nicer on VDS-eve than a last review of the VDS08 competition? We all know the top 6 teams breached the magic 10,000 points line. The winner even scored a whopping 11442 points. However, if...
