I am a co-founder of the Springfield Hockey Heritage Society. The society was formed to honor the tremendous history of pro hockey in Springfield, MA. In August of 2008, I was at a function of the Rhode Island Reds Heritage Society and had the pleasure of meeting several players from the 1940s-1970s (including Johnny Bower!). I was surprised to learn that Springfield had no such group, and now starting a historical society and developing a database of over 600 former players has become my primary way of spending my non existent free time!

Also, I'm a lifelong sports fan. Despite living in Massachusetts, I've always been a Yankees, Rangers and NY Giants fan. Go figure!
