There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Black Heart Gold Pants Dr. Saturday = BHGP #1 fan

Dr. Saturday, college football writer for Rivals/Yahoo! amongst other things, has an article looking at our Iowa Hawkeyes.  The more I read through this breakdown (no new information, but a pretty thorough and accurate summary nonetheless), the more I noticed that some of the references were striking me as familiar.  The (alleged) proof is in the pudding.  It starts out innocently enough, with a Pat "You're Only Making Me" Angerer comment (what writer worth their weight wouldn't take the opportunity to go for that?).  Then, in the graphic running along the right side of the page, he prompts the reader to "Google [Clayborn's] dog, Ace."  My first reaction to reading that was, of course, "There's some increased traffic flow for BHGP!"--because NO ONE covers Iowa Hawkeye athletes' pets like our blogger friends Adam Jacobi and Hawkeye State.  And the moment which evaporated most of the remaining doubt, a paragraph header declaring "Americanzi: Love him or leave him."; (We've made our decision, by the way.  We love him.  At least until we see the first sign of a Stanziball.  Then people yell about leaving him.  But those people probably suck.)  Any hack writer could make an Angerer joke, and it takes a man who is truly educated on the topic to make a reference to Clayborn's dog.  But you know the man has done meticulous research when he uses words which can be found in the Black Heart Gold Shirts store and nowhere else in the world, and seamlessly meshes it together with the tagline (tagline?  I don't know what else to call it, eat a fat one) for the blog.  Proof couldn't get much more conclusive, you say?  Well, how about a direct link to this post, with the hyperlink text for that link being "Tyler Bleeping Sash".   He missed the boat by leaving out any mention of Riley's Revealing Romp in the section that points out the Reiff is still listed as a DE on hawkeyesports.com.  I'm sure there are other obvious opportunities he missed, but he probably didn't want to entirely reveal himself as Black Heart Gold Pants secret admirer.

I don't feel like splitting that into more than 1 paragraph right now so that people can read it more easily, but I do feel like going to sleep.  So quit being lazy and just read it.

I'm also going to take this time to mention that I believe I recall Dr. Saturday hunting and gathering on the same continent of Blogfrica as BHGP before he started writing for Rivals/Yahoo!, but my memory may be hazy, so it's entirely possible that this bro-log-mance may reach back a ways.  Either way, congrats to BHGP on being linked to in the same article as USA Today.
