NetsDaily Possible New Howard Adidas Deal

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/217940/Rose_Near_$250_Million_Extension_With_Adidas

So Realgm.com is reporting that according to Espn D. Rose will be receiving a $250 MILLION extension with Adidas. We all know Rose is a phenomenal young talent on the rise. Our main man (HOPEFULLY PAST THE TRADELINE AS WELL) Dwight Howard is also an Adidas featured talent. Earlier this week there were reports that suggested an Adidas deal could potentially alter his choice of destination. Let's be honest $250 MILLION (or something within that range) will definitely be altering his decision.

I think this bodes well for the Nets organization. The Knicks have Melo who is signed to the Jordan brand. Adidas would love to break into the NY metro market with a super star talent. (an undeveloped Brooks is also signed to Adidas) In addition to this, it would be interesting to see if we are unable to trade for Dwight, how he would then value an extra year and $25 Million his team could offer. In my eyes 25 is always less than 250 lol. In conclusion, I think a potentially huge Adidas contract will most definitely attribute to Dwight's preference of his destination.

What do you guys think?

NetsDaily GOAL BAR SEATS ROW 127

Bought some off stubhub and I have no idea what to expect. Does Anybody know about these? Are there specific seats assigned? For example if a friend buys one in another row does it really matter or can we just sit in the same area?

And since this is too short to post I guess I have to point out the great improvement in Hump's (aka the man) offensive game and Brook seems like he's attempting to actually grab a rebound now since the D Will trade. I think we should draft a decent rebounder and sign a good g/sf player that could hit open shots easily. My reasoning is because I dont think that both Sasha and Hump will be resigned. I think its either/or. Hump's agent will argue for a decent pay increase, deservingly so. We need a player more consistent than Sasha- I do like him as a Nets player but I think we be better off with something else. Needless to say if we're going after a top tier free agent this offseason and next as well we need to say bye to one of these guys.

What do you guys think? .... Abouth both subjects.

NetsDaily CARMELO= NO Bueno

First off thebesides the possibility of losing Dev, who I think will play his heart out again for AJ, the other scenario being talked about involves two picks and Favors, Hump., and Murphy. Judging by the preseason, we cannot afford to lose any more power forwards. This position has already been really shaky. Although I think Favors will continue to progress and once Troy comes back healthy ,we'll have more success.
Which brings me to my next point.
Any true NBA fan knows how hard it is to find a solid big man with the potential that Favors brings to the table. Some say he might someday be a KG type. And when teams do find such great big men, their health usually throws a curve ball into the situation. Can anybody say Greg Oden and Andrew Bynum? I know its early, but I think Favors has enough athleticism to stay away from constant nagging injuries.
The Nets would also have to give up 2 ,thats right 2, first rounders for a guy who does not really want to play with us. This will prevent us from building our team up through the draft. I dont know how good King is at evaluating late round talent.
Finally Avery is adefensive coach and therefore needs players dedicated to defense. Carmelo has never been such a player.

Originally I have always supported Carmelo as a great player. But after I realized he does not want to this organization I would not want us to pursue him. If he can't see that we're heading in the right direction then he doesn't deserve to play for us. Especially when it comes at such a high price.

B-Lop, T-Will, and D-favs are the Nets future. And the future is bright LOL.

Poll
Should the Nets give up Derick Favors for Carmelo Anthony?
No! Way too much potential.

NetsDaily B-Lop: Will he be as good?

I definitely am a little late with this one. But  remember the begining of this summer when Lopez was battling mono. The combat wreaked a toll of his body. Several reports suggested he had dropped anywhere from 10-15 lbs. We all know how physical centers need to be in the paint to be effective. Yes obviously I've read all the other reports that suggest he will only surpass his great talents next season but thinking on set of sound cause and effects; Could the weight loss be a minor step back in his conditioning or will it somehow affect his low post game? Although Coach K's needs could be to blame, Lopez did pull out of the USA team on what was a perfect opportunity to fill a much needed big man spot. What do you guys think?

NetsDaily WHY you dont trade Brook Lopez.

As much of you have, many "experts" are finding many statistical reasons why you shouldn't trade our beloved center. But the proof is much more simple than that. One needs only to look at our franchise's successful NBA history. 2002 Finals reaching  roster : J. Kidd, Kittles, Van Horn, K. Mart, And the great white bum MacCulloch: Lost to LA in 4 mostly because Shaq completely abused our big men. The following year we added Dikembe Mutombo but he was useless after he injured his hand. Needless to say J. Collins allowed Tim Duncan to do whatever he wanted resulting in us losing to the Spurs in 6. In fact Duncan even had two of the best games ever in finals' history,  look up the numbers. Yes, one can argue that Shaq and Timmy were atop their games those years but maybe just maybe if we had a solid big, K. Mart was in constant foul trouble, we could have won a championship. B-Lo is that big. In matter of fact, B-Lopez is "like" a million times better than a solid big. If management was really smart and dedicated to us, the faithful fanbase, they would look at what we have seen recently and decide that aquiring Anthony i n any package that includes Lopez is NO BUENO.....
