Well...it started because...well...I sorta had a crush on a certain quarterback who isn't here anymore...and I gonna show Him theres more to life after Hes gone.

Sooooooo, How Good Were The Broncos, OR How Bad Was Houston?
Hey...i was totally amazed at the game today...and we won...and bf is outta His mind...and thats way cool for me. And...i thought it was totally awesome that we came back. Gotta tell the truth...i was almost out the door for some shopping...still some bargains to be got even in the afternoon. And...bf was gonna go with me...and He said...hey...wait...lets just watch a little of the second half. And i rolled my eyes...and crossed my arms...and tapped my foot...and gave him THE look. And...so...i sat down and waited...and waited...and...omg...we WON the game.
And i was way happy to. And...and then...i start to hear lotsa things being said. Like...for one..."Timmy is the greatest college quarterback to come into the NFL in...like...10 years...or 20...or 30", or something. And...then some are saying...omg...like...it was only Houston. And...well...here we go again...haters on one side...koolaiders on the other...and im going...omg...cant we just be happy and enjoy the win. But.....i guess not.
So...like...can i answer the question about how good he is? Nope. Gonna leave that to the smart guys...im just sorta a ditz. But.......i thought id see how Houston has done this season...and compare it to what Timmy did. So...here is a little table. I looked up what Houston has done in each game...and divided the scoring up into the first half and the second half. And.......this is what it looked like.

So......what does it mean? Well....Denver scores nada in the first half and gives up 17. In the second, Denver gives up 6 and scores 24. Yah...we all saw that...but...what does it mean?
In the first half…Houston scored more points on only two other teams (NY Giants, San Diego) and tied with Washington for third. Denver is the only team to be shut out by Houston. Sooooo…not a very good start for Timmy In fact.....Timmy was worse than P Manning, McNabb, Romo, Gradkowski, E Manning, Cassel, Rivers, Garrard, Sanchez, Smith, Vick, Flacco, and Collins.
In the second half…Houston scored fewer points against only two other teams (San Diego and Tennessee), and gave up more points to Denver than any other team. So…in the second half, Timmy was better than P Manning, McNabb, Romo, Gradkowski, E. Manning, Cassel, Rivers, Garrard, Sanchez, Smith, Vick, Flacco, and Collins.
Oh wait…football is a team sport…so…Timmy was as good as Tebow. Denver was way terrible in the first half, and way better in the second half.
Just sayin........Timmy is the worst.......or the best....or....its a team game?

Why a New Coach Would Want to Come to Denver
Sooo…this is a flame…so you prolly should just skip this post..or get John to delete it. And the good guys should prolly skip it to. And John...i am way sorry...i know you don't like flames...cuz this isn't the DP. But i just can't help it. It is okay to delete this.
i just wanna say I am totally clueless about football. And…i started watching it cuz of bf…and i found MHR and learned some stuff so i could understand him. And…omg…sometimes i totally amaze him…cuz i can do the suzy talking doll thingie and repeat words i hear here. And…just so you know…i totally never played football (cept maybe some touch football with bf and his friends J).
Anyway…like i am totally unhappy with what has happened…its no fun being hooked up with a looser…and i am and its way not a happy time. i am unhappy with Mr Bowlen...with Jedi...with the team...with the haters...with the "fans". Anyway…i feel better…now. So…now the reason for the posting
All you guys talk about some guy coming to coach…or a different guy coming. Like i would have a clue about who you are talking about…and how good they might do. You guys all make it sound so wonderful…that everything will be happy again…and you just know what they have to do…and who they should keep…and who should be gone. Guess what...most of the teams will be thinking about new coaches the end of this year...and next year...and the year after...and forever...and when they hire some guy they always think they are gonna score
But…i gotta say…i wonder why someone would want to come to Denver. So…i made a list. i put the good stuff first…and the bad stuff second. And…just so you know…this is only what a football ditz sees...not like an expert or anything.
Good Stuff:
(1) The NFL only has 32 HC positions…Denver is one of them. Sort of like even Oakland and Buffalo can get guys to come coach there team.
(2) Plays in the AFC West…one of the weakest divisions in all of football…only need to build a team that can always get 8 wins and you might get lucky and win a division and be able to host at least one game.
(3) Maybe Bowlen gets sick of all this and sells the Broncos to some guys with tons of money. Maybe one of the rich foreigners.
(4) Maybe the Broncos move to LA.
Bad Stuff:
(1) Fan base that says it loves the Broncos…but mostly as a way short ADHD type disorder that makes teenage boys seem like grown-ups – deeply split: One third tied to the team no matter what, one third hating everything that is done because they hate there lives and the Broncos are gonna pay for it; one third fair weather fans that like it when Denver is in the playoff hunt and want to be part of the band wagon
(2) Little Market – so far away from the big city and out of the limelight, like New York and Dallas and stuff…who knows…maybe someone buys the Broncos and moves them to LA (so that would be a Plus)
(3) Owner desperate to make his final mark – but making lots of mistakes. Mr Bowlen likes being important in the NFL…and with a little market you get that by being a team that might win the Super Bowl and makes lots of money for the League. Well…he is a laughing stock now…let his first big success coach have everything he wanted…and one two super bowls…and then turned his team into a country club where every bad guy in the league who could do a girl or slap one around could get one more chance in Denver. And…so he learned his lesson…and wanted to change all of that and hired a newbe who got everything he wanted…and then did some bad things with cheating…and then did the worst thing of all…he couldnt win against weak teams…or win the division…and couldn’t find a way to win even 8 games this year
(4) Too many quarterbacks – All are good guys…all have talent…all of them are going to have to learn a new system…again. And…no matter who you pick…they won’t be John Elway…and the fans are never going to be happy…no matter what the haters say…see the first point.
(5) Miserable defense…lots of money tied up with old defensive backs and an LB who just isn’t very good when he is needed…and a LB that is too small and hurt and is never going to be the same when he comes back…and an LB that is supposed to do sacks and can’t…and a defensive line that doesn’t work.
(6) Offense that no one else understands and won’t be able to make it work and has guys the new coach won’t want and will start over. Someone said Jedi owns all the books…so…we cant even use the old system…we gotta start over…and over…and over.
(7) A bunch of fans who will not even give the next coach a chance because when he starts cutting players and drafting players and stuff…they are going to tear into him…and if he looses even one pre-season game will be out on the ledge…and if they don’t have a perfect season...omg. The fans are like drooly teenage boys who dont wanna wait to the second date
All this time i listened to everone here…guess i did the koolaid thingie…and wanted to believe…and did believe…and…and now part of me is just sooooo mad at the guys who wanted everything to fail…cuz you all think everythings gonna suddenly be wonderful and with a new coach we will be winning everything and be in the super bowl next year…course the lockout thingie changes all that. And guess what…the same names that so totally hated Jedi and Orton will pick right up and do it again...i bet. We all know the names…and just wait...before you know it there they will be.
And the best part about this post? Since everyone else is posting...this one will just disappear in totally record time. It won't make any difference...but i feel better.

okay...so now what?
Sorry guys...just something i gotta get off my chest...cuz i cant stand it anymore. i am so totally bummed out by all of this. And i feel like a total fool. And...i still wanna believe. But its way hard. omg…like…I totally wanted to believe Dr X and Jedi. And i listened to all the brainiacs on mhr...and i really really really really wanted to believe. Well…actually…I did believe. And...now...i feel kinda cheep.
i am totally bummed out. It's kind of like waiting for a totally dreamy date to show up...sitting in the living room…listening to the cars drive by…waiting. Is it really gonna happen? Does he really want you...or is he gonna stand me up?
Its like...after he has looked you over…and you get your hopes up. And...so...you drop the little hints...and he finally asks...finally. And then you believe...like...maybe he is special...and he thinks your special.
And...so...you dress just right...for him...wanting to look nice...but not too nice...but not wanting to be a s**t either. And...now...here you are in the living room...waiting. And he is late. And every car driving by make your heart jump up in your throat. And you get mad cuz of hoping and angry and kicking yourself and knowing you looked like a fool to all your friends. And...oh...deep down...you dont care. You want him to just knock on the d**n door!.
I wish Jedi and Dr X would get it right. And knock on the door. And sweep me off my feet. And make me feel special. Please?

soooooooo...if there isnt a CBA...the playoff winners...well...sorta lost
i was kinda curious about the cba and stuff (more like bf was way down since the broncos werent part of the playoffs...and...i was trying to find something to cheer him up)...and i hit on the good ol' sour grapes thingie...and guess what...it sorta tastes like koolaid...lol
anyway...here is what i think i read about the cba...and what it means for each of the 32 teams....i hope someone who is way smarter than i am will make sure all of this is right...or fix it...cuz i dont really understand all of this very well
(1) For the 20 teams + Cincinnati + Greenbay + New England + Philadelphia:
(a) Two franchise Player tags
(b) Restricted Free Agents out to six years
(c) Free to try to resign any UFA on there roster
(d) Trade for any player on another team (except any they tried to sign as UFAs)...maybe this means teams cant trade UFAs after they sign them...maybe someone knows better
(e) Free to sign any UFA who clears waivers
(2) For the 4 teams who are gonna loose next week in the Division Round
(a-d) just like the 24 "unlucky" teams
(e) For every UFA signed from there team to another team...they may sign a UFA...one contract can be $5M per year...the others can only be for the value of the lost UFA's contract
(3) For the Final 4 who are gonna play in the Championship Game or the Superbowl
(a-d) just like the other 28 teams
(e) For every UFA signed from there team to another team...they may sign a UFA for the value of the lost UFA's contract
SO WHAT:
(1) For the "Lucky Teams" Arizona, Baltimore, Dallas, Indianapolis, Minnesota, New Orleans, New York Jets, and San Diego better like there teams a lot...cuz it is gonna be hard for them to sign UFAs...especially the four winners next weekend...as a guess
(a) Less balanced teams are gonna find is way hard to "fix" parts of there team they dont like (needs more defense -- Arizona (also if Warriner retires?), Indianapolis, New Orleans), (needs more offense -- Baltimore), or if a key player decides to retire (Minnesota - Favre retires?)
(b) More balanced teams (Dallas, New York Jets, San Diego) have a lot better chance of keeping there teams together.
(2) Target Strategies for the "Unlucky Teams"
(a) San Francisco and Seattle can spend as much as they want for whatever UFAs are out there and try to build a defense strong enough to attack an Arizona offense which might be without Warriner, and build an offense (running maybe) which can work the Arizona defense and keep the ball away
(b) Houston and Tennessee can try to improve there defense to hold off Indianapolis, but that seems kinda impossible, and add enough offense to outscore them, which is more likely.
(c) Atlanta can try to improve there defense to hold off New Orleans, but that seems kinda impossible, and add enough offense to outscore them, which is more likely.
(d) Cincinnati and Pittsburgh can try to strengthen there offense to equal the Baltimore defense because they arent so far away, and more defense to hold the Baltimore offense down, which also seems possible.
(e) Philadelphia and New York Giants need to upgrade in every way they can on offense and defense to try and catch Dallas. New York Giants need more help than Philadelphia to try and catch them.
(f) Greenbay needs to do the same thing as Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to try and catch Minnesota, by upgrading everything they have. They were shown there defense still has a way to go even though it seemed good, and there offense is already pretty good.
(g) Denver needs to upgrade on offense and defense to try and catch San Diego, especially on offense.
(3) Guesses on Final Eight
(a) Challenged if there opponents spend enough: Arizona, Baltimore, Indianapolis, New Orleans, New York Jets
(b) Hard to challenge: Dallas, Minnesota (if Favre stays), San Diego
(4) Guesses on Denver
(a) Upgrading defense with UFA is gonna be hard because lots of teams have to do that to try and win - competing with San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, Tennessee, Atlanta, Philadelphia, New York Giants, and Greenbay.
(b) Upgrading offense with UFA is gonna be less hard because of less competition - competing with Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, New York Giants
(c) College draft might focus on defense since heavy competition for defense UFAs is gonna be lots more than for the offense
Anyway...maybe i feel a little better...but...its not gonna be easy to move past San Diego...because we need to be lots better on offense and defense...but...just maybe...offense UFAs are gonna be a little easier to find than defense...gonna be hard.

a ditz wonders
Watching the season i kinda got an omg feeling...sorta like...wow have i seen this before? Kinda like watching a old movie and going...omg...its just like another movie. And...like a lot of people have been talking alllllll about "The Choke V2.0" kinda thing. Soooooo...i kinda wondered if that was totally true.
Some things i kinda thought would be important...like did we score more points than the other team...and what was the season record for the other teams...and how we did

So what? Well, we didn't play a very strong schedule...and the second quarter we did way bad...against the strongest part of the schedule...and then when we couldnt win in the final quarter...omg...like the schedule wasn't all that strong...and we got way outscored.

Okay...soooooo...the schedule was strongest in the second quarter...and we won half our games...and we got outscored...wow...go figure. In the third quarter...the schedule was way weaker and we could only win 2 games...and only outscored the others by a little. And the final quarter (still waiting for the the KC game)...the schedule was stronger...and we only got outscored a little.
2009 vs 2008
For fun, i decided to compare the two schedules...by subtracting the 2009 results from the 2008 results.

Okay...so you know what...our scoring difference is lots better than last year...against way stronger teams...and i wish we could have even done the same as the 2008 team in the third and forth quarters.
Soooooo what:
(1) Yep...hard time winning in the 3rd and 4th quarters of the season
(2) Lots tougher schedule than last year
(3) Lots better in the scoring: the 2009 defense is way better than the 2008 offense...and the 2009 offense totally rocks vs the 2008 defense.
(4) I wonder what our 2010 schedule looks like?

Deepest Darkest Most Wild Conspiracy Theory
OK...so ive been thinking (kinda strange for me...lol) about how come the MSM is so totally down on Denver. Like...most of the big names and outlets are all totally down on Denver and it was...totally weird to me...until...in the shower...like i got the most awesome thought. What if its a conspiracy thingie between the Big Market Teams, the MSM, and the Players. Wow...like...if your greatness is measured by your enemies...like we are totally the greatest ever...giggle.
