As if he hadn't already gotten all the stupid out of his system in the first two hours and 55 minutes, he spent the last five poking fun at the lions and their qb situation and the way their franchise is run and saying the raiders are lucky to be facing them early as a confidence boost. Ummm, kitna threw for more than 4000 yards and now has a ridiculously good new option in Calvin Johnson. That's a much worse situation than having 3 qb's who last year threw for less than 4000 yards combined. I'm driving home to southern California, where my sports radio hosts are laker homers with downs syndrome, autism, and narcissistic personality disorders and I still feel bad for the sactown brethren. Depressing.

[From the diaries. M1LK5H4K3 says the Drew Gooden-to-Golden State rumor kicked off this thought train, so I should mention I've found a way in which the Warriors landing Gooden is great for the Kings. I'm a dreamer, what can I say. - TZ]

We already have the All-Star team, the All-NBA team, the All-Defensive team, but I think there is room enough for one more: The All-Hyphy team. While Drew Gooden's ducktail isn't traditionally hyphy in the sense of dreads, I'll allow him in based on a loose grasp of the culture. Your All-Hyphy starting five:

PG - Baron Davis
Boom Dizzle sounds like a rap lyric as it is, and that burly beard shows that he knows how to get dumb.

SG - Smush Parker
He is allegedly a 'one', but not fooling me. The grill he rocks assures him a spot.

SF - Mickael Gelabale
Shake them Dreads. He has little offensive game, but getting hyphy shouldn't offend anyone.

PF - Drew Gooden
The combination of his ducktail and the fact that he yells YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII after every basket he scores puts him in. Plus, they need some rebounding.

C - Ronny Turiaf
YouTube 'Ronny Turiaf Hyphy' and this becomes self explanatory.

[Note: Objectionable language and seizure-causing visuals. - TZ]

Post your line-ups or bench suggestions in the comments.

Is expected to return to school. Can we please trade for the celtics pick and get Yi or something? Chad Ford's mock draft has us taking Julian Wright, a nice, versatile player who I like a lot, but do we seriously need another swingman? I'll take a chinese dirk any day over having our 4 most useful players at the 2 and 3.
I trust Petrie, but I just don't know how much he can do in that ten spot. Maybe offer Bibby, the #10 and possibly Garcia/Douby for Theo Ratliff and the 5? I don't know what other options we have...
