Last year, I attempted to start a senior day tradition that called for all fans, ZZU CRU, Alums and everyone else, to sport ties along with Tony as he has specifically said he thinks the seniors deserve the respect of a tie that day. When I showed up to the UW game last year, I coudn't beleive how many people were actually wearing ties! ZZU CRU hasn't started too many traditions yet and I think this is one that has the chance to stick. Some people have said it is a "weak" idea, but starting any tradition, to me, is far from weak.

This year, the leaders of the ZZU CRU are trying to get it happening again. I was fortunate enough to get an Evergreen article about the ties last year, but I don't think they are getting that publicity this year.

So sport your ties on Saturday to pay the respect to the guys who have spent four years contributing greatly to presence of gray hairs on my head...I'm only 24.
