The hot topic at Blazers Edge since yesterday is Mr. Petteri Koponen. Should the Blazers give him a roster spot this year or should they let him go back to Europe and sign a more lucrative, possibly long term contract with a Euro team?

KP has said that the team is leaning toward signing Batum. If the Blazers sign PK, they will have FIVE rookies on their team this season: Oden, Fernandez, Bayless, Batum, and Koponen.

I am in favor of giving roster spots to both PK and Batum. Batum seems like D League material for the time being, but PK might actually be an important contributor this season.

The Blazers will almost certainly finish the year with more wins than losses, even carrying five rookies. This seems pretty amazing. Does anyone know of another NBA team that has carried five rookies at the same time, with at least four on the active roster? Does anyone know of a SUCCESSFUL NBA team that has carried five rookies at the same time?
