Bleeding Green Nation why has nobody mentioned desean?

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d8279a54d/article/eagles-wr-jackson-agree-to-terms-on-fiveyear-extension?module=HP11_breaking_news

The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms on a five-year contract with wide receiver DeSean Jackson, the team announced Wednesday.

Jackson will earn $48.5 million over five seasons, league sources told NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora.

"We are thrilled to be able to keep one of the NFL's top playmakers in Philadelphia," Eagles coachAndy Reid said, via the team.

The team applied the franchise tag to Jackson before the deadline to do so earlier this month.

Bleeding Green Nation jason peters vs trent cole??

For those of you with access to espn insider, please check the following link:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/scouting?gameId=310918001

You will notice the 5th bullet point features Atlanta Offenseive Tackle Jason Peters vs Eagles DE Trent Cole:

5. Matchup to watch: Atlanta OT Jason Peters vs. Philadelphia DE Trent Cole: The Eagles are excellent at pressuring the quarterback, and Cole has been the leader in that category over the past two seasons. He has explosive quickness and deceptive power coming off the edge. Peters has outstanding size and athleticism for the tackle position and utilizes consistent technique to keep his opponent at bay. Look for this battle on the edge to be extremely intense between two athletes used to performing at a high level.

I'm seriously just so sick of "experts" being allowed to write about things that they don't have any idea what they're talking about.  It's one thing if you go up to a kid and say "write this research paper on a subject that you have to go learn about" but the fact that this happens every single day at espn and nfl.com is just unacceptable.  This isn't the first post I've made about experts writing about things that they don't know a thing about.

It just really drives me nuts that the tone of the article implies that he is letting you in on some sort of expert insight that we wouldnt know about otherwise.

Bleeding Green Nation Does it bother you how little "experts" actually know about the Eagles?

This has been driving me crazy lately.  I feel like there are honestly so many "experts" that nonchalantly talk about the eagles as though they know everything about them when they really have no clue what they're talking about.  Right off the bat, watch this video and listen to this clown tell you about how we're deep everywhere but O-Line and how "KEVIN KAFKA" will be ready to play if he has to.

If I hear "DREAM TEAM, WENT FOR BROKE, ALL IN, BUYING THEIR WAY TO THE PLAYOFFS" or anything like that even one more time, I think I might walk over to central park (yes, unfortunately I am constantly surrounded by Giants fans on a daily basis) and and sock the first person in the face that I see wearing Giants gear (man, woman, or child - i don't care) just to get the agression out that has been building up every time another idiot needs to pretend they did any research about the Eagles at all and then talk about it on tv.

Check this one out and pay close attention to the bro with the eye-brows -who is about as good a public speaker as our very own Chris McPherson (sorry Chris, you're a nice guy but you can barely even speak):

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Ahes6SFxbgRZndpAo4409XRDubYF?slug=ms-silver_eagles_michael_vick_090111

Eyebrow dude must seriously roast up before he gets on the set, because he sounds high as a kite.  I can't believe he starts out by saying the Eagles "are calling it the dream team".  You know what?  I don't even want this guy on board; I'd rather listen to Skip Bayless make obnoxious predicts about the Cowboys and how Vince Young is better than Michael Vick, than have this dude say he's buying into the dream.

Most of the last few years, I have been so annoyed that the Eagles have not gotten enough credit for the talent they've had.  It drove me nuts last year to always hear every one talk about how awesome the Falcons were and put them ahead in the power rankings when you know as well as I do that that is absurd.  This year everyone is talking about how amazing we are, but I can't stand it because THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.  I only want real Eagles fans talking about how truly incredible and talented our team is and how great our front office has been.  We've been the ones who felt this way all along and supported our team no matter what; then all of the sudden we make some splashes in free agency and every expert seems to have read 10 minutes worth of nfl.com articles and decided to go on air and talk about it like they have any clue.

Has anyone else noticed this trend lately? That all the "experts" seem to have no idea what goes on the int Eagles' organization?  It's sad that the average Eagles fan could completely school the average aports analyst that makes a living off of knowing these teams inside and out.

I was hoping you could all post some of the videos that kind of follow this theme and we could discuss how much more knowledgable and insightful we are than the "experts."

I don't mean to sound like a jerk or some kind of hot head, but eventually there has to be the straw that breaks the camel's back (SAY "DREAM TEAM" ONE MORE TIME), and something tells me somebody in central park is going to be pretty confused/angry in the very near future.

Bleeding Green Nation Need help from someone who knows about SALARY CAP

I'm not sure where to find info for different players' contracts and I was hoping someone could give me some insight on our cap situation.  After all the deals the Eagles have recently made, I want to know how much cap space we have left.  Will we be able to keep Desean AND Asante, while leaving room to sign Vick to a long term deal?  If that's even possible, can we still add a linebacker and/or a tackle (maybe the Mathis signing covers us at O-Line?).  For the Eagles to keep both Asante and Desean, do you guys see any outside of the box possibilities for who might have to go?  I absolutely do not want to lose either of those 2 players because I think they're both key to making this team literally unstoppable.  I know the season isn't played on paper, but I hope I'm not the only one who sees that there is a possibility we could be the next team to go 16-0 if we keep those two players.....

Bleeding Green Nation How Many Times Will DRC pick off Kolb?

Eagles-Cardinals Week 10 Nov13th.  Even though Kolb will be throwing to Larry Fitzgerald, he probably won't even bother looking that way with Nnamdi covering him.  Considering the small possibility that they'd also see Arizona in the play-offs and that the Eagles will play the Cardinals Week 10, how many times will DRC pick off Kevin Kolb in 2011? I really hope we don't trade Asante because right now the Eagles have the best secondary in the entire league, even with limited experience at safety.
