Chargers yank Cason out of nickel role | ProFootballTalk.com
Anyone else think the Chargers are looking more beatable by the day?
Chiefs captains for today: Mike Vrabel, Jon McGraw, Brian Waters and Mike Brown.

From Kent Babb's Twitter earlier. Hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere, but thought it was interesting given the much publicized (and likely overblown) offseason spat between Waters and Haley.
Yet Another Trade Down Post - with NUMBERS!
From the FanPosts. -Chris
With the draft less than a week away now, there are two common questions that Chiefs fans are asking: "Can the Chiefs trade down from #3 overall?" and, "If the Chiefs trade down, what can they get?" Attempting to answer these two questions, a lot of people have looked to match the value in trades with values in the controversial draft value chart, and for fairly good reason. Initially devised in the 90s, the chart that circulates the internet is both obsolete and flawed (in more ways than one), but purportedly still has an effect on the estimation of the trade value of specific picks.
With the aura of secrecy that pervades our Don Pioli, it's impossible to know exactly to know for sure how much stock he places in the draft chart. This makes it all the more difficult to predict what exactly will happen on Saturday. But if there is one thing we know, it's that Pioli has developed a reputation for draft swaps. Whether he claims to be looking for trade partners or not, there is no question that he swaps picks more often than practically anyone. This activity provides us with a history of moves, maybe shedding a little light on how close the published chart is to Pioli's personal chart.

Have the Chiefs Come Full Circle?
Around the world, there are cultures who have believed that time and its events are cyclical – what has happened before will happen again. While I don’t personally ascribe to this belief, perhaps as Chiefs fans we should hope they’re on to something and that our Chiefs are finally coming around full circle. While many are hoping the Chief’s 2009 season compares with Miami or Atlanta’s 2008 seasons, I’m personally hoping it will be most comparable to the 1989 Chiefs.
