Reported tonight by Susan Slusser, the A's have officially bolted CSGiants for the Sacto CSN. Apparently the station will be on Comcast 89 (in memory of that WS sweep) and will air alternate programming during Kings games. The move will allow for more HD (no more KICU?) and more extensive pre- and post-game coverage. Should be pretty cool. Love to hear your thoughts AN

Interview published yesterday: “We wanted him to come to the East Coast so we could get some sleep at night,” he said. “It’s just a different channel on the package for me.”

This guy was vocal about his desire to have his son with the Yankees, but I take this comment as a bit of an insult. He could have at least mentioned that he's looking forward to visiting one of the world's great metropolitan areas and to following the third most successful franchise in baseball history or something along those lines. Maybe I just like seeing the A's praised as in the aftermath of the Ellis contract.

Thoughts?

Harden's rehab start

First off, does anyone know where to listen to the game (actually, on second thought, a link dump of all A's affiliate radio streams would be great).

I'm always nervous when Harden takes the hill, but what do you see as a success on Thursday? Because it's a rehab start, he'll probably be limited to 50 or 60 pitches here in the first one. I am hopeful he'll get through the whole limit, with good velocity and perhaps a few wicked sliders for variety, but if he's effective in this start would you like to see his next "rehab" appearance be in the form of an abbreviated start for the big club? Our starters seem to be doing fine in his absence, but it certainly would be good to see him back in the white spikes as soon as possible (even if he may only be playing as a showcase for some Beane dealing come the break).
