My favorite team is the san antonio spurs. I have been a spurs fan sicne I was 7. My favoirte player is manu ginobili and tim and tony to : ). Also I like the Texas long horns in basketball plus the Dallas cowboys in football. MY main blog is the PTR but i go to others to to see what info other teams have. As of now I am set on being a free lance camerman possible videographer or something realted in the televison and radio field

TIago Splitter Bone bruise
It looks like there's nothing serious and it's just a bone bruise. Considering all of the recent players who have had much more serious injuries, this is really good news. He is listed as doubtful but he could play in game 2 if we really needed him. Holding him out till game 3 could be a good idea.

Splitter INJURED leaves game
Tiago Splitter was injured during a game. Reports are it is his thigh but he says he fells better now but that he had choose to leave the game after the pain that occured during the game in the 3rd. He is scheduled to have a MRI. Hopefully nothing to to serious.
Blair wants to be MVP one day
In an inteview Blair says he wants to win league MVP and a championship one day. I sasy this is a longshot I think he can go as far as all star but I love his confidence.

Spurs still have one last title run:
Call me a homer call me crazy whatever you call me I honestly think the spurs still have what it takes to win won last title. I really think a big part of this will depend on luck,heart,role players, and the stars shining bright again. Also something called defense. Lets be honest the spurs haven't been a great defense team since 08. It has really hurt them so much. Also the development of small ball. Then the lack of 3 point shooters and role players disappearing ween we need them most has all be but disappointment and most of all just not the spurs we knew. It funny we use to make jokes about how old our players were but knew going into the post season they had the heart of a champion and would prevail. It would be Bowen hounding Kobe,Nash and many others. Duncan and his big partner Rasho,Mohammad,Oberto,Horry. Then Parker and Ginobili would do their thing. But most of the spurs suffocating defense that would get the team stops when they needed them. Then Role players steeping up when we needed them in Barry,Kerr, hell even that bag of bones Finley. Fast forward today Duncan doesn't have a decent guy at least 6'11 who can play D. Our Role players cant hit a 3 to save their life's and they dissaper forcing Manu andTony to play harder than they ever had to in the playoffs. Now with that said lets see what the spurs have to do to get back to title contender.

Oh how the mighty have fallen:
Over the decade the spurs have been the most consistent and poised team in the league. . This decade they have brought us 3 championships in 03,05, and 07. They were successful over those years because of a simple formula. It would be Tim and Bowen who would set the defensive tone thorough games. Then Parker and Ginobili did what they did best slashing to the basket and scoring in the clutch. Any team facing the spurs knew that if they weren't scoring you weren't either. Recently though the sad truth is that we suck and cant execute the ball as well down the stretch plus our defense sucks. Whatever it may be chemistry,bad rotations, overall we are just playing bad and need to improve.

Defense first priority offense 2 priority:
As we start the season, the Spurs are 2-1. Obviously our offensive game has increased with players like McDyess, Jefferson, and an improved Hill, not to mention a healthy Manu. I could go on about how our offense has improved, but what I'm considerd about is the defense. Right now I think we are making great progress with defense, when you consider the amount of new players we have and that everybody is trying to develop chemistry. They are not great on defense, but they are not horrible either. No team has scored more than 96 on us, so we are in good shape right now. The Spurs next games are going to be back to back against Utah then Portland. We will need great defense to beat those teams. Then we will need to be just as good come February 3.

We all knew once Bowen was traded the spurs would have big shoes to fill. They can at least try. Bowen was the main anchor on defense for a long time besides Tim. Now with him gone the spurs must look to there new players for a defensive stopper. They have about 4 guys who could Possibly fill that role. Let me think what you guys fell at the end of the post who our defense stopper is. Some of you may be surprised with who I choose as our defense stopper.

The Battle for the 5 title:
As we enter this season it could be one that defines NBA history. What I mean is who get the 5 title Spurs or Lakers. For years now the NBA has been dominated by these two franchise. In fact the Spurs and Lakers are ranked in the top 3 of best franchise all time. They have especially been destroying the league ever since 99-present. In simpler words they have basically been the best 2 teams of this decade. At this point I have the Spurs ahead of the Lakers for team of the decade. If the Lakers win the 5 the average sports fan and some of those idiots on ESPN will think they were the team of the decade. This season is a pretty important one for the Spurs.

Spurs 2010 Season preview:
The Spurs have probably done some of the most drastic offseason moves in recent memory for many spurs fans. All this could pay off with a 5th NBA championship to our beloved city.The spurs were starting to look old and done as contenders. Then all of sudden Pop and the FO pulled a rabbit out of a hat retooling our team to be back to major championship contenders. I still felt we were contenders as long as the big three were healthy but with the new additions to our team is more athletic and young. Already our team is much better than last season and hopefully this team can bring us a 5th championship.

Will ginobili be in the HOF?
There is a very simple answer to this it is yes. He deserves to be in the basketball hall of fame. Notice it's called the basketball hall of fame not the NBA HALL OF FAME. There are many players who never even played in the NBA who are in the HOF. Manu has accomplished many thing's in his career that make him in my mind a HOF. By the end of his career he will have over 10,000 points. There aren't to many player who are guards who have done that. Infact there are only 26 guards who have scored over 10,000 points. He is 11 on all time playoff 3 pointers made. He could still be moving up on that list. In my opinion he should of been our 2005 finals MVP player.

Well get ready for next season because it looking pretty good so far. Now with RJ and Antonio McyDess and Dejuan Blair. The spurs finally filled out there holes from the SF to C. Now i feel we are ready to dethrone the Lakers with this team we have now. Also Im just guessing this is what the roster rotation is going to be. I put Tim as our Center. Below are the Matchup's Against the Lakers. This is match up with our current roster and a few of the new guys who I fell Well be in the rotation. Also consider these match up are with their positions I didn't mathcup different positions against each other.
