3 Way Trade, Boston, Indiana, NO.
On paper this works (viia ESPN Trade Machine). I doubt these teams would do it but at least the numbers work. This also doesn't include Green or any other RFA's who could be thrown into the mix.
Boston Trades Rondo, Jermaine, and Bradley.
Indiana trades Hibbert, Granger, Collison, D. Jones.
N.O. trades Chris Paul.
Boston Gets Hibbert and Chris Paul
Indiana Gets Rondo, Jermaine, Bradley
N.O. gets Granger, Collison, D. Jones.
I think Indiana would need to get Jeff Green and move Posey to Boston as well as Boston giving up 1 or 2 1st rounders to make it sweet for Indiana. Boston gets a good big man and CP3. Indiana get Rondo & Green plus a pick plus gets out from Posey's contract. NO gets a semi-super star in Granger to fill up the score sheet, they loved Collison when he was with them and he did a great job filling in for CP3. Jones is a throw in but can play better D than Posey. Again, I doubt the teams would do this but it makes sense on paper.
The other trade that works is Boston/Indiana straight up.
Boston gets Hibbert, Collison, Posey (amnesty him but also take him off the books of Indy), D. jones (defense) Paul George (Bird loves him and he is underrated). Indy gets Rondo, Jermaine, and Bradley.
Boston gets a big man, solid PG, good D in Jones, and a capable Back up SF in George.
Indy gets Rondo to pair with Granger, Jermaine (brittle but serviceable back up Big man) and Bradley as a 3rd string PG and 2nd string SG. I think draft picks one way or the other would need to be thrown in.
All speculation and wishful thinking so please don't beat me up too bad!
