If they want Carr it will more likely be via a trade of some sort rather than picking straight up

Because in most of those cases it is too late to change the flight that the bags are on and the bomb could have been planted in the bags

Sometimes people get mad BECAUSE its true, but those responses should be disregarded

I dont know, Marquise Lee and Kelvin Benjamin both might fall to the 2nd and probably are better but both have question marks that Matthews doesn't have

I absolutely love that they are bringing him in for a looksie, and that was before I knew he was related to the GOAT WR

They will then proceed to get Aaron Donald in the 3rd and David Carr in the 4th too with Lucas Nix falling to the 6th round as well to create the best draft in history

Yes sir! I have been pretty lucky to have gotten to see 2 Raiders games here in the past 10 years with a 3rd
Commented on Raiders 2014 preseason opponents announced on Apr 10 2014, 5:39p
Yes, I completely agree. I didn't expect the terribleness last year either so hopefully it doesnt happen again. Injuries definitely change everything, and with people this old it must be a worry.

I would have been shocked had he had a great Pro Day, it definitely should be graded on a curve for being so quick from his surgery

I am always excited to get to see the Raiders in Green Bay even if it is preseason, I will be there in my Sunday best and it wont even be cold yet! Yay!

I expected you to listen to my logic and you expected me to listen to yours, we both feel we are right. That happens, no dissuasion will be afoot lol
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:59p
I blame both for it, and am ready to move on but I will not forget it

So it is not necessary in good writing?
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:37p - 1 reply
So there is no concrete evidence? I consider Veldheer not being a Raider pretty concrete myself, but is that ok with you?
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:37p - 1 reply
Plus he is a RAIDERS INSIDER! You don't know what data he has that he has based his information on and he is not necessarily allowed to state it either
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:36p - 1 reply
Hell no, you are stating unequivocally that the franchise tag was wrong in a situation where it is strategy and opinion that dictates the choice!
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:34p - 1 reply
The very fact that this was an editorial piece STATES that it is an opinion. It is in the very definition of the article type that it is not a fact, but an opinion of the review of what happened.
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:34p - 1 reply
Fair enough, but it still would have kept him here for one year exclusively in trying to figure out his fair value.
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:31p - 1 reply
So you get to decide solely what good writing is? That is a statement of an opinion right there too.
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:30p - 1 reply
It is an assumption whether reasonable or not. It is an assumption by Levi that Reggie mishandled the situation, whether reasonable or not. Both you saying what you did and him saying what he did are the same, you are claiming fact on your assumption.
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:29p - 1 reply
See, you just did EXACTLY what you are complaining about Levi doing!
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:28p - 1 reply
I already said why Jax, its in the long post right above
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:27p - 1 reply
The details would have been able to be hammered out after the fact there, and players want the long term deal
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:18p - 1 reply
Again here Jax, as far as the Raiders coverage on the analysis goes Reggie is the one that is going to be concentrated on because he is the man for Oakland
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:16p - 1 reply
Veldheer also said he wanted to stay a Raider, but tagging him was the only way at that point that he would be remaining with the team
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:12p - 1 reply
The numbers are conflicting reports, but even so it is completely fair to say that allowing him to test the market was a mishandling
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:11p - 1 reply
Its not overpaying by a couple million a year, its risking overpaying by a couple million for one year in order to get him to agree to a long term fmv deal
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:08p - 2 replies
Not at all, that is another assumption Jax. Veldheer not being in Oakland right now is a complete failure on both sides of the table.
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:07p - 1 reply
You can complain or critique, and somebody else can tell you that you are completely wrong in doing so. Its all opinions.
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 12:05p - 1 reply
And the opinion that he mishandled him is not based on shaky information, it is based on JV not being re-signed when they had $66M in cap space

I dont even in the slightest bit agree with you
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 5 2014, 10:39a - 1 reply
No Jax, an opinion piece does not have to acknowledge anything else but the writers own opinion. It goes without saying that it is their opinion when its an opinion piece.
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 5:33p - 1 reply
This is a grade based solely on Levi's opinion Jax, its suppose to be bias because its based on his own bias opinion
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 5:31p - 1 reply
Well said. That was some BS to flame his jersey like that, he put it all out there for them and had some really good years
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 4:54p
Yes hopefully Penn knocks it out of the park, which he is absolutely capable of

Yes, everything proven over time
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 4:48p
Yea but just because he signs for the 10M Tag for the one year doesn't make that contract set in stone
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 4:45p - 1 reply
The better question is what they consider elite, which in likelihood would be top 5, not top 10
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 4:42p - 1 reply
And me being a writer has nothing to do with my opinion of this, I would have said the same exact things before I was on staff

Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 3:39p - 1 reply
I agree with everything but Penn the turnstyle. He has had a great career with just this past year being subpar and it was on one of the most dysfunctional teams in NFL history in Tampa under Schiano
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 3:36p - 1 reply
Exactly, he absolutely should have extended him the second that the cash was there to do so. Anything else was risking losing him and raising his cost
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 3:35p
This article is just about Levi's opinion of the free agency, it isn't about showing multiple sides though
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 3:35p - 2 replies
Hell yes he was worth risking having to pay tag money to be able to keep him exclusive and work longer on an agreement
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 1:46p - 4 replies
If I wanted to be with someone else then stating that would only help my ultimate goal
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 1:40p - 1 reply
This is true, but it is an educated guess. Still non provable speculation though, absolutely
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 1:39p
The difference in the Veldheer situation is that he never would have only been a mercenary for the Raiders
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 12:31p - 2 replies
Even if you guys disagree with his stance he has been completely consistent on his opinion of it and there is no reason for him to have changed his opinion about what happened
Commented on Grading Raiders 2014 free agency on Apr 4 2014, 12:27p - 2 replies
The "want to be here" is a little overrated, he would have wanted to be here if it was his only option because he would have wanted his very large paychecks
