SEC Speed Fan Challenge
It became official on Sunday; the University of Missouri is going to be joining the SEC.
The SEC schools are known for various things, nearly as varied as the cultural identity that the state of Missouri represents. One trait that is unanimously agreed upon by people with in, and lamented by people outside of the SEC is that they have more speed. The source of this speed is as yet unidentified, however this post is not going to address the magical potential origins of this trait, rather how do we increase our speed?
Onward and upward Mizzou fans, or should the rally cry be; Forward and Fast-forward-er?
In this Fanpost thread leave a comment consisting of something that you do that you can decrease the time it takes to accomplish it. I would like this to be inclusive to all fans, please post whatever you would like to take on as a challenge. That statement is quite encompassing, so let's keep it PG-ish.

2011.b : A Jayhawk Hunt
I have been waiting for a new show that covers the animal kingdom that satisfies my reality. I remember fondly old wildlife shows on PBS, that showed way too much of the hunt. This is what made them better. Now you know the reason why I did not sleep through the night as a kid. More recently the History Channel had a very compelling documentary series called Monster Quest that I can only assume was completely real. With an added benefit of continued fuel for my 15 minute naps throughout the night.
I wish there could be a show that fully describes my reality right now. I submit to the RMN commentariat the show that marginally satisfies.

Help Marching Mizzou "March For ALS" !
I just received this e-mail via Mizzou athletics and wanted to post it at RMN to try and increase the awareness of this cause.
Marching Mizzou is "Marching for ALS" against Kansas in the Border Showdown Game on Nov. 27th. "Marching for ALS" brings college marching bands from all over the country together to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Lou Gehrig's Disease. Marching Mizzou is competing head-to-head with the KU band to see which band can raise the most money. Funds raised through "Marching for ALS" will go towards the ALS Association's crucial patient services programs and global research endeavors.
Link and information after the jump.
Space Needle + Mizzou Fan + Bus of Nebraska fans = ?
Whilst my wife and I were innocently walking to breakfast this morning, two charter buses, fully loaded with coarse Nebraska fans had the audacity of driving past our persons. This was the beginning of the invasion. A repulsive sea of red has infested our city. As the second bus approached, without hesitation, my adorable wife performed a deep lunge accompanied by a dramatic bestowing of "the bird." I was so proud.
Family friendly dramatic reenactment above.

Rally Uniform Vote
The accidental picture of the Banana Suit Man brings back memories of the awe in which we all felt upon first glimpse of the Paterson video of an upright bipedal hominid in a Northern California creek bed, I think we have to take this idea to the people. Furthermore this is required to combat the influx of caped crusaders based off baseball teams which has only diluted the already tumultuous relationships we all have with super heroes that flare fabulous fabric out behind them.
I suggest we take a stand and vote on an official RR Rally Uniform that can, nay, should be worn to the K. Don't think of this as another poll. This is your patriotic duty as a Royals fan to approve a suit, an identity of the fan base that can be worshiped and lore told about through generations. The obvious choice is the noble banana. More patriotic ideas after the jump.
If you want to laugh; Shuttle Service (think; MO-X)
Little videos with a narrator that sounds like the guy from Seabiscuit.
I have driven this a few times, it is as bad as it seems.
By distance it should take 2.5-3hours, usually it takes 4-5 hours.

O/T : Awesome Sunny in Philly Reference
This was over at a fellow SB nation site RR.
When a team you follow is so bad the only thing you have is humor, tasty tasty humor.
I thought since most on here like the show this post would be pretty funny to all.

William Clarke Quantrill a moderate, a defender, a rapscallion that did what had to be done in response to other murderous raiders from 'that other state'.
Quantrill would like to ask everyone; "A Jayhawk is neither a jay nor a hawk, please discuss".
Label this a thread for your favorite KU jokes.
Please keep them viewable at a work setting, and not just littered with curse words and the like. Because I think RMN has/can/and will be better than most with jokes.
(yes I capitalized KU here, because it is an accredited institution though for what I am still searching)

Somethings just weren't meant to be.
(whisper) I and the wife just moved to Seattle,
(regular voice) and her office had tickets to The Battle for Grass Creek tonight.
She had 17 additional co-workers put their name in for the drawing for us. That leaves a 93.25% chance of getting tickets for tonights game. But alas...NO.
Oh well.

WR Jared Perry demoted to second team today
... a case of the dropsies would tend to do that.
Hopefully this is just to get his attention and he'll climb back into the 1st Offense.
I really like Perry, I hope this doesn't start a trend for him.

Just saw Hood get a sack in the pre-season game airing tonight. Pitt vs Arz
Previous Arz drive ended by an INT, however big old 96 was in the face of the back up QB before he threw that pick.
I have seen 96 all over the place already. It bodes well being 1st round draft, then getting mentioned for playing good already.
I understand it's a pre-season game, but it is good to see.
All good for Mizzou.

I have pondered this question for what has seemed like eternity and realized it was about 2.54 seconds.
I have realized that Hillman is an absolute genious, he is keeping his best 'relever' ( I will not call anyone a closer, anymore, because that is asking for miss use) to back his best starter. Simple as that, a CY Young award winner needs more W's....Soria will give that to you, but only when Greinke is pitching....yeah, yeah ....that has to be the reason.
Right?

So this is my first attempt at posting anything other than comments.
I found this on KC Star, DeArmond wrote it. I hope the link above works, I actually got really confused trying to figure out the insert button thing. Oh well, I will learn sometime. (Ed. note: I've got your back)
Looks as though things have happened 'and we will all move on'.
Oh this is fun. Apparently posts need to be at least 75 words long and I am only at 67. Well, take that SBN. I am now above 75 words.
