I have to stress that my idea pains me, because the player I'm about to suggest is one of my favorites. That said, I think moving Patrick Nyarko makes a lot of sense now.
The Fire picked up the young Yamith Cuesta from Chivas USA today via trade. Cuesta originally comes to MLS from the Colombian First Division where he played with Santa Fe. The Fire gave up a 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft Pick in exchange for Cuesta's services. He'll bring a lot of size at 6'3" to our back line, and we didn't have to lose much to get him either.
Calen Carr has been sent to Houston in a trade for Dominic Oduro. Carr's currently nursing a concussion, if for some reason he can't return from that injury we'll lose a future MLS SuperDraft pick. We here at Hot Time will certainly miss Calen Carr, and wish him the best of luck in Houston!
Why do the Fire want to host the US Open Cup anywhere but Toyota Park?
The commissioner of MLS, Don Garber himself, will be making an appearance at the 13th annual Season Kickoff Luncheon. Amy Freeze and our owner Andrew Hauptman will get to share the limelight with Garber during the luncheon. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of information on why he'll be there, but it should be interesting!

Deals like the one the Chicago Fire made with Prozone are bad for you and I, the true fans.
Freddie Ljungberg might have left our Chicago Fire for Scottish Giant Celtic FC but not all is lost... in fact some might have been won for Chicago.
