Diehard Minnesota Twins fan since 2000, and always will be. Baseball is not only far and away my favorite sport, but one of my ten greatest life passions altogether, and nothing captures the magic of that like Twins baseball. From their quirky history to their legendary players to those awesome TC and M hats, the Twins possess all the traits of the "ultimate" sports franchise and my love for them only grows with each passing year. How I even became a fan is odd enough, as I've lived in California my whole life and was introduced to them in a Sacramento River Cats program...but that's another story for a lengthy post.
Through the ups and downs of their existence and mine, the Twins represent me in a way not many other things in life can. I don't lie when I say you'll have a hard time finding a case of a team fitting someone as well as MN does for me...they capture my hopes, my optimism, my unique personality, and my pervasive love of a fun time seamlessly. I think that's the legend of Twins baseball: Do all the little things right, scrap your way to victory, but have the time of your life doing it. And if you're Kent Hrbek, get some McDonald's while you're at it!
I hope the Twins win at least one World Series in my lifetime, no matter how many brutal heartbreaks I have to endure to get it (and I've had a few so far, but who hasn't?). It goes without saying that I hope they win as many as possible, and my passion and intensity as a fan wouldn't be leveled off by winning it all...I'm a diehard for my entire life. But to spend the rest of my days with the satisfaction that my most beloved team kicked enough ass to be called the best in any given year is a must.
Altogether I'm a very intellectual and optimistic guy with an interest in just about everything. Music, football, boxing, basketball, intellectual pursuits, imagination and daydreams, kickboxing, movies, politics (I'm liberal), history, television, journalism, education, space, friendship, food, love, video games, and beyond. I guess you could say I'm interested in everything not called NASCAR. I'm very outgoing and friendly and love to engage in discourse on just about anything. If you want to know anything else, just ask. Enjoy yourself, and....GO TWINS!!!!
