White and Thomas Lead Sloppy Noles to 63-48 Win

Michael Rogner is in a doozy of a winter storm out west and has no power, so I'll try to fill in with a quick hitter. I'll still post a full article tomorrow morning, complete with lots of quotes...

It wasn't the prettiest of wins, but a win it was. See what Coach Ham had to say after the game.

A smart schedule for FSU hoops?

After years of dumb scheduling, FSU took a significant leap forward last season. Was it a fluke?

FSU Basketball to play on Aircraft Carrier?

I know it's a long way off--and most focus is on a different sport this week--but rumor has it FSU will be among 8 teams participating in the 2013/14 Carrier Classic games. This would be huge from a publicity stand point for FSU and can't hurt with recruits and $$ either. UK, Texas, NCSU, Mizzou, Gonzaga, Wake Forest, and Davidson are the other teams mentioned.

Ham and Co. to visit with XRM

Coast2Coast Hoops is reporting that XRM will host coaches from all of his final five schools, starting with Texas today. FSU's turn to make another strong impression comes tomorrow.

FSU Releases Full Schedule for Men's Basketball

The full 2012-2013 schedule was released for the defending ACC Champions. There are 31 games this season, 17 of which are in the friendly confines of the Donald L. Tucker Center. You can get your first taste on October 30th, when the Noles host Lincoln Memorial in an exhibition game. The regular season kicks off November 9th against South Alabama in the first round of the Coaches vs Cancer Tournament.

ACC Composite Schedule is Released

Today, the ACC released the composite schedule of all CONFERENCE games. This marks the first year ACC teams will play 18 conference games and the first year that every conference game will be available on some kind of TV/internet feed. After a quick glance, 8 of the defending ACC Champs' 18 games will be broadcast on either ESPN, ESPN2, or CBS, including all five games against NCSU, UNC, and Duke--the other 3 teams expected to compete for the conference crown. We expect FSU to release their full schedule any day now.

FSU Basketball Recruiting: 2013 Combo Guard says Noles Lead

Demarcus Croaker, a 6'2/6'3 guard out of Jones High School in Orlando. Kid is overshadowed on his summer AAU team by two five stars (Chris Walker and UF commit Kasey Hill), but he is starting to...

ACC Basketball Schedule Released

The Noles will look to defend their first ever ACC basketball title against a pretty tough slate, as the league expands to 18 conference games this year (and no, Pitt and Cuse are not competing). League TV execs wanted more high profile games, and FSU will definitely play its fair share--our home and home assignments include UNC, likely pre-season favorite NC St, UVA, Maryland, and Miami. On the positive side, we will only see Duke once and that will be in The Don.

Top 60 2013 PG May Re-Classify to 2012

Kid's name is Stevie Clark. Bit of an odd situation here, considering it's so late in the recruiting season, but he is a 4.0 student and may re-classify due to a coaching change. FSU has offered and was recruiting him fairly hard for the 2013 class, despite Stevie being smaller than most Hamilton guards. If we do end up missing on Rodney Hood, we would be one of the few schools on his list that would actually have a scholarship available to offer him. This is a story we will continue to monitor.

FSU Basketball Signs Another 7 Footer

This kid is a physical freak: 7'1, 290 pounds of muscle, and a 7'8 wingspan. Pretty raw in terms of basketball skill, but you can teach that. Can't teach size.

Seminoles Draw Golden Gophers in the 14th ACC/Big 10 Challenge

While most of us are eagerly awaiting any crumb of news relating to FSU's ongoing tango with the ACC and Big 12, today ESPN announced next season's match-ups for the ACC/Big 10 Challenge. The...
