I think that its great to see the the O's go after a Japanese pitcher, but perhaps they should have gone after Kenshin Kawakami.

According to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TausE4nhypk, half of Koji's pitches are right over the plate. I did some community service one year for a Giants scouting program, and this guy doesn't fit the "movement" catagory. He's controlled, yes, but the pitches are right down broadway.

He'll have to make major adjustments to keep his ERA under 5.00 at the MLB level.

For 39.99, 2K Sports will release MLB Front Office Manager. I will be in heaven when I can buy this. For PC, 360, and I think for some other systems, this game rocks. here's a video.

It even has Japan wars, where teams race to buy a japanese posted player!

Worst GM in baseball

Has to be either the Astros or Giants GM.

The Astros have cared so little about draft picks, signings, and the craziness of picking Max Sapp as a first round pick. The Astros GM, whoever he is, has a knack of picking overdraft draft picks. Perhaps by 3+ rounds. Jason Castro and Max Sapp. WOW

The Giants' Brian Sabean is well known as "the guy who lost his touch". He started out making decent trades, getting Schmidt, getting Kent...Now, however, his only strength seems to be drafting. However, he now makes horrible signings/trades. Renteria 2/18?

The "Japan Problem"

I love the fact that teams can now sign Japanese amatures, but in I read somewhere that Japan may feel the need to sign Americans before the draft.

Has anyone heard this rumor, and if so, do they feel like me about it?

On a side note: Does anybody think Tazawa will have an MLB future as a #3 starter or better. I looked at some videos of him, and I like his abilities. Also, I have been scouting Yu Darvish for years, and am alarmed by him wanting to get 200 wins in Japan before going to the U.S to play. He has wicked movement on his pitches.

Hey! I think I am going to be either Lincecum OR Zito. I wonder how many others will be a baseball player or a Giants player. The colors of Halloween and the Giants=both black and orange! I encourage all people under 20 to "dress up" in a Giants uni of some kind. After all, why waste the wonderful black + Orange colors on Halloween is you don't dress up as an Giant.So folks, lets bleed black and orange!!!
