It'll be interesting to see if any MLB action is taken on this game. There is no way that they should, of course, but Jonny's 4-game suspension was for the same thing Lincecum did and was even less clear than Kershaw's. The only major difference I can see is that neither of the managers are whining to their best friends in the Commissioner's Office about it.

Anyone have an idea on why we declined to take him back from them? I'm a bit confused on the benefits on doing that. While we do have a bunch of pitching depth in the minors, surely he offers some potential for further growth, at least as trade bait in the future.

Talking Chop Royce Ring is having an excellent season...

...in terms of inheirited runners scoring only. The main point of linking this is actually to point out how good of a reliever Ohman has been statistically: even while appearing nearly every game he is performing better than many closers.

Talking Chop Sounds like those outfield troubles could be a thing of the past...

Curtis Granderson's ESPN.com blog:

Q: When you were growing up, did you ever have a favorite MLB team?
--Brett in Newington, Conn.

My favorite MLB team was the BRAVES, not the White Sox. For some reason, a lot of people think because I grew up on the south side of Chicago that I'm a White Sox fan. I was a huge Braves fans; I owned some jerseys and some of my favorite players were David Justice, Otis Nixon, Sid Bream and Ron Gant, to name a few.

Talking Chop Tex on Atlanta fans (kind of)

"When Andruw Jones came back to Atlanta this season, the fans booed him," Teixeira said. "If fans can boo Andruw Jones in Atlanta, they can boo anybody."

I went to that Friday game vs. Dodgers specifically to cheer Andruw, and I remember seeing some other true fans with Andruw jerseys cheering with me, and telling the clueless chicks behind me yelling that Andruw sucks to **** off. Did retards drown out the cheering, or is Tex just making a point?
