Does anyone have the story on this Chris Todd guy that just signed with us yesterday?

Does anyone have any information of any answers as to who this guy is? I scoured the internet this morning and can't find anything other than him being on the Texas Tech roster but he is listed as a JUCO transfer. Rivals.com is who has announced that he signed with Tony Franklin and Auburn yesterday.

How good is Auburn really?

Let me preface this by saying that I am Auburn alumni and I love the team and school. With that said, how good is our football team really? Do you honestly believe that this season can be salvaged at this point or is everyone starting to look toward next season?

I thought going into this season that Auburn had a legitimate chance of winning the SEC, but after watching the past two games, I am not sure we can win 6 games. Saturday's loss to USF really showed how ineffective our offense truly is this year. I can't look at Ben Tate as being a bad back and can't say that Mario Fannin ran badly either, but when a team can stack 8 or 9 men in the box and effectively shut down our passing game with man to man coverage, we are in bad shape. Please don't give me any crap about how good USF really is, they had every opportunity to beat us by 21 points on Saturday night and rightfully should have.

Ariegold wrote a blog about getting rid of Brandon Cox, and I fully agree with him. I think he hinders the offense in every way. I know that they want to try to hold Kodi Burns for a redshirt, but why are we always looking to the next season instead of trying to win in the present? Every year, around August, all I hear is Auburn is going to do this and Auburn is going to do that, but next year is the year we will be really good! It is optimistic for sure, but why not look at today instead of tomorrow? Every year is a rebuilding year for Auburn and next year never comes.

With all of that said, I think our real weakness is Tommy Tubberville and the coaching staff at Auburn. I have said over the course of the past 2 to 3 seasons and I think that others are starting to see it now too. Our coaching staff are great recruiters, but mediocre coaches. If every Auburn fan is ok with a ton of 8-4 seasons, then by all means, keep Tubberville around, if not, I think it is time for a change.

I know that most people on this board will most likely disagree with almost everything I have said, but to me it seems the only way to make the next step towards building a true dynasty at Auburn.
