Remember When: A look back at Miami Dolphins history through the eyes of The Phinsider 2007. It was a year that saw an entire season become nothing more than a prayer for one single victory. As if...
Last week, 55% of the fans who voted were in favor of releasing cornerback Benny Sapp. To kick things off this week, I'm going to approach a more controversial - and likely unpopular - topic. D...
The saga continues. Michi Nogami-Marshall, the wife of Brandon Marshall, was arrested on Friday after violating a restraining order which prevents her from coming within 500 feet of their home or having any contact with her husband at all. The incident this morning occurred at the couple's home. Michi was living there while Brandon was out of town. When Brandon arrived back at his home, there was a "verbal dispute" and 911 was called by somebody who then hung up the phone. Investigators said there was no sign of physical violence. But yet again, neither party was cooperating with authorities. Anyone noticing an ugly trend here?
For the first time this offseason, we head into a weekend with optimism that there could finally be a resolution to the lockout in the coming weeks. Once that resolution finally does come to...
With the need to essentially "manufacture" topics to discuss, I offer you the first installment of a new series. The idea is to just think about which veterans under contract could be let go...
Last week, a friend of mine asked me what he thought was a very simple question. I'm not sure how the topic came up, but we got into who our favorite players currently are in the NFL - and in...
I'd love nothing more than to finish my career winning a Super Bowl with the Dolphins, but that's gonna take some cooperation from others.
-Ricky Williams said on Twitter on Tuesday night. This is what I call a message to Miami's front office. Ricky wants back, Mr. Ireland.Despite the fact that it's likely Burress and his agent would have been interested in the Miami Dolphins, we now have a report that claims the Dolphins are no interest in the soon-to-be 34 year old receiver. The report cites a "reliable source" who said the Dolphins are "absolutely not" interested in Plaxico.
Unless you are living under a rock, you know that former Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress was released from prison in upstate New York yesterday after serving nearly two years for gun charges...
I the midst of thing prolonged lockout, there's been a recurring theme that most of our discussion has focused on - quarterbacks. So guess what the top story involving the Miami Dolphins is right...
Well today is the day that the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals in St. Louis will hear the owner's appeal of Judge Nelson's earlier ruling in favor of the players and lifting the lockout. But the...
The first part of this two-part series seemed to spark some good dialogue. So let's keep the momentum going and complete the list with players ten through one on my list. If you missed yesterday's...
It's no secret that with this lockout dragging on, we are all going to have to start manufacturing things to talk about. Well what better way to spark some discussion and debate than ranking the...
Remember When: A look back at Miami Dolphins history through the eyes of The Phinsider April 28, 2007. That date was quite a day in Miami Dolphins history. The duo of Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller...
Hopefully you're all enjoying your holiday weekend. On this Memorial Day while you are at the beach or at a barbecue, I urge you to keep in mind what this holiday is about and why we celebrate it. Enjoy the day and we'll get back to Dolphins talk tomorrow.
First of all, congrats to the Miami Heat on their Eastern Conference title. Now it's on to the NBA Finals to take on the Dallas Mavericks in what should be a very entertaining series. For all of...
"Who the hell wants to own a team and not play? It’s about having a system that works. It’s not about a bunch of greedy owners. It’s a bunch of players looking to see how much they can really get.
-Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, who is clearly not a master of PR. Yes, the players are being greedy. But so are the owners. So let's stop finger pointing and work on a real solution. At least Ross confirmed that employees who had their pay slashed will get it back if no games are actually lost due to the lockout.Somebody always has to be the wet blanket. We were all feeling good after learning over the past couple of days that Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall was seemingly recovered from those stab wounds and...
Ever since the "incident" at his home on April 22 that sent him to the hospital with stab wounds to his abdomen, Brandon Marshall has essentially been a ghost. His once very active Twitter account...
In this terrible lull brought on by a lockout induced offseason coma, we need to find ways to pass the time. One idea I came up with was to go back into the Phinsider archives and dig up some...
As if we needed any more proof that the Miami Dolphins will be adding at least one veteran quarterback once the lockout ends and player movement can begin, now we have Chad Henne himself...
In the dullest of dull periods that the NFL will ever see, one story this week probably got more attention than it deserves. I'm referring to something wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker told a...
Without a doubt, one of the needs that this Miami Dolphins team had to fill this offseason was at tight end. Starter Anthony Fasano is coming off of career highs in receptions and yards in 2010....
As this lockout continues to drag on, there's not really much for us to discuss other than to rehash and over-analyze some of the critical questions facing the Miami Dolphins in 2011. And outside...
You might recall how the excitement level for the Miami Dolphins draft instantly rose when the team selected Abilene Christian wide receiver Edmond Gates to kick off day three of the NFL Draft. Not...
What was once a proud part of Miami Dolphins history has quickly become a contentious topic amongst fans of the Miami Dolphins. We all remember where we were when the Dolphins unveiled the Wildcat...
In what could be viewed as nothing more than an attempt to drum up a little market for himself, running back Ronnie Brown told Jeff Darlington recently that he would still be willing to return to...
Yesterday was the 58th day of the NFL lockout - significant because it has now officially become the longest work stoppage in football history. Of course, the '82 work stoppage resulted in the loss...
When I was told of the topic of this "sponsored post" - to select a team from a certain year that did something "classy" that was worth noting - there were a couple of different routes I could have...
When the Miami Dolphins traded up into the end of round two, surrendering multiple draft picks to essentially move up 17 spots, many were assuming it was going to be a certain quarterback whose...
