Grew up in Reno, a fan of the A's in the 70s and early 80s. Lost interest in baseball for a few decades, but getting back into it after Moneyball and the Ken Burns' Baseball documentary.

2013 Oakland Athletics Infographic

I’m an Oakland A’s fan, and as a follow-up to last year’s Oakland A’s win/loss infographic here’s the sequel, portraying the scores, wins and losses of each game in both the regular season and post season. New this year is a line chart that tracks the 5 teams in the American League West division across the season. If you’re an A’s fan, or even just a baseball fan, feel free to use this on your blog or website. Let’s Go Oakland! Looking forward to the 2014 season.

As a born-again baseball and Oakland As fan (used to travel from Reno to Oakland in the early 70s to see games), I’ve been following the team closely this year. Combine that with a passion for visual summaries and inspiration from the likes of Chartball and Flip Flop Fly Ball and I just had to create an infographic of the team’s 2012 regular season wins and losses. The result, this tower infographic that charts their wins and losses for each game, who they played and a running visual of the season wins and losses. I plan to improve this to include the post season playoff info since the As just one the AL West Division yesterday.

Not sure if this is interesting to anybody but me, but I thought it would be interesting to visually show the history of A's seasons wins and losses and post-season play over the history of the franchise. Easier to see patterns for me. Looks like the A's are about due for another period of predominantly green (wins) + post-season play.
