I'm one of those Eagles fans who unfortunately doesn't live in the Philadelphia area. I've also never been to The Linc. I have friends up in Philly who have been constantly asking me to go to a home game, but being a low-finance college kid, that's easier said than done. So when the schedule was announced, slating the Eagles for a Week 1 showdown with the Rams in St. Louis, I pounced on the opportunity as soon as I could. My experience after the jump:

Names like James Thrash, Todd Pinkston and Freddie Mitchell can make some Eagles fans shudder, but the names of DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin can do the exact opposite. After years of the wide receiver position being a weakness for the Eagles, the team struck gold in the 2008 NFL Draft by snagging Jackson in the second round, and added another weapon in Maclin just one year later. With those two picks, the Eagles' receiving corps took a complete 180, and some argue that the duo of Jackson and Maclin is the NFL's best.
One could simply look at the stats and make that argument (the two combined for 117 catches, 2020 yards, and 16 touchdowns last year), but just how big of an impact is it when both find the endzone in a game? After the jump, I'll examine the outcome of every game since 2009 where DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin have had touchdowns.

My BGN Brothers, I know this is a dark hour for us and for the Philadelphia Eagles. We're all trying to absorb a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of a damn good Packers team, and we're all thinking about this upcoming offseason. But as I look around Eagles Nation, I see people pointing the finger at David Akers, and even calling for his release. My thoughts on that after the jump...
