Andre Caldwell
I'd like to get a bit of everyone's reactions about our boy Caldwell, especially in light of the tough calls we had to make about who to cut at the WR position after preseason. I know Bubba came through for us last year with two game-winning catches, but he seriously disappeared down the stretch, which is when we most needed someone ot step up and take some pressure off of Chad. I saw more out of Quan at the WR position toward the end of the year, and Quan provides a lot more in the special teams department.
Most of my saying this revolves around the fact that we just lost Briscoe to the Bucs, who appeared to be a talented kid and a potential replacement for Chad or TO on the outside. Given that we draft Shipley and have Quan as a backup for the slot, doesn't that make Caldwell the most expendable of our receivers?
I know I'm late to the game with this post, but I was really bummed to lose Briscoe. I'd like to hear others' thoughts on Caldwell, and see if they can cheer me up. I thought it was strange that he was such an automatic lock to make the team. He seems overrated. Of course this doesn't even bring up Simpson...
AFC North fraught with tigers
This fat old Steelers fan thought the AFC North would be a comfortable place this year. "Come on in," he said, "the water's great!" Then, after 9 weeks, he realized that the division was being dominated by a most nerve-wracking creature, the Bengal Tiger:
"Egad!" screamed the Steeler fan in dismay. "We thought it was just going to be us, and those dirty birds from Baltimore this year! We weren't expecting such ferocity from the Nati!" The tigers, cool as ever, just licked their chops. Meanwhile, below the water...another gruesome kill...
Joey "Pink Taco" Flacco chased by Bengals

Expect to see the pink taco running in terror on Sunday, as various Bengals attempt to drink the blood of the latest non-believers. Joey appears to be flapping his wings in sheer terror as at least seven Bengals swoop in for the kill. I think I see "Who Dey Rey" near the back, elbowing Dhani Jones out of the way for access to the latest kill.
P.S. God bless No. 9
P.P.S. I realize I'm a nerd, and simply can't help myself
