OT: Firefly question
Well, first off, SPOILER ALERT if anyone is watching it for the first time on Science.
My brother watched Serenity last night and texted me later to, "Use the Internets and find out why they killed Wash." I've kind of wondered myself since I've been rewatching Firefly, and spent a few minutes browsing around. The best answers I could find were:
1. Alan Tudyk wanted out, or they wanted him out.
2. Joss Whedon wanted to mess with the audience, and was going to perhaps kill Wash in the second season.
3. It was more of Joss Whedon doing his, "Kill/Maim the Innocents" routine, like Xander and his eye on Buffy.
I couldn't really find anything concrete, and maybe there isn't anything. I know there's some Firefly fans here, and was just wondering if a bigger fan than me has heard any other reasons over the last few years.
This post is just a tiny bit geeky, I know.
Rangers game being shown?
I live in the Austin area, and the Astros game is being shown on 2 channels tonight, no Rangers game. The guy I'm on hold with right now said maybe enough tickets weren't sold and it's a blackout situation.
He just got back to me and said that it's a feed coming from the network, I guess Fox, and there's nothing they can do about it now that they game started. What I take this to mean is: "who cares, it's the Rangers? But UT plays tomorrow, so suck it up." Oh, well. I just wanted to see Mendoza pitch. Anyone else having problems?
