Sandoval is among the Giants' nominees for the prestigious Hank Aaron Award. San Francisco's third baseman has topped the club in most offensive categories through much of the season and has ranked among the league leaders in several departments.

The Hank Aaron Award, presented by Sharp, is awarded annually to the best overall offensive performer in each league, with each club having three nominees. This is the seventh consecutive year that fans have had a voice in selecting the award winners.

Well, since jcb9 voted for the 22nd but wanted to change to the 18th the vote winds up in favor of September 18th.

Though I'm not unconvinced that there weren't some last minute shenanigans going on. A tie? really?

For those that really DO want to get together on Saturday, there's nothing saying you can't go ahead and meet up Saturday anyways... We can't attend on Saturday, and we probably can't make the 18th; I'm not willing to organize 2 events that I can't attend... so Saturday the 22nd is up to whoever wants to do it.

Closer to the 18th I'll try to get a head count - if there are enough of us, maybe we can get that nifty back room!

Since there were two days that ended up basically in a dead heat and since I seem to recall many people saying "Ugh, not a Friday" or "No, no, not August" let's have a little "run-off" to see which of the two dates works best for the most peoples.

Once we get a date, I'll need to get a rough head count so, if necessary, I can call ahead for a reservation.

Keep in mind too, that the game time on the 18th hasn't been announced yet, I'm assuming it's a 6:00 or 7:00 pm start time.

And I'm still wondering if there is any chance that the Saturday game vs. Cololrado, playoff implications and all, could be moved to an earlier FOX TV time slot? I guess one easy way to answer that question would be to check and see who the Yankees / RedSox are playing at that time!

I know people have posted where they've found Choco-Tacos amidst game day threads and whatnot. Consider this an easy to find repository of Choco-Taco info. Here in Sac I found them at the 7-11 on the corner of Marconi and Walnut. Have 7-11's always been so scary?
